Harriet - Thanks for the start.

In the last 48 hours I have slept 21 hours! Whatever my body is going through requires some extra sleep. I'm thankful my schedule is in a lull and can accommodate the extra sleep hours.

Today is a typical Sunday. Sunday school, worship with church family x2.

Daily routines #1, #2 and #5 are 100% completed. Routine #3 is 75% and #4 is 50% completed.

Thanks for asking Harriet, I'm back to about 95%. I was able to my CPAP last night and slept well for 9+ hours.

We went to the birthday party last night - casual comfortable outdoor party at a restaurant that was a refurbished gas station so has covered outside tables and "garage doors" opening to the outside. The place does brunch and lunch and I think only private evening parties. Didn't know anyone (dh knew several) but had an ok evening. Bit rainstorm drove everyone inside where it was too noisy and hot but still we stayed longer than I would have expected.

We're having brunch with dd at 11:30. Not sure whether we need to pick her up or not. She's not sure how she's getting to ATL tonight/tomorrow a.m. early. I haven't volunteered this time - just not up to it and I don't want her to start relying on us. (It was brutal last time - up at 3 a.m. to drop her at airport at 4 and drive home sleepy to get ahead of ATL traffic.)

Looking around, I'm not sure how my house ended up looking like a storm hit yesterday.

bw2, I'm envious of all your work around your house.

Thinking this is the week dgson returns here to his home town.
Dgd will be here to help with some things on the list.
I need to wash boards off for the shelf downstairs.
I am considering putting my yoga mat outside on the deck and or lawn for some stretching.
Thinking meals this week what I can cook in my new stock pot like a roast for example or soup.
39* here this morning first 70* day this year here.
I have posies to go in as well.
Some clean up & painting in the shop so glad it is not in the house!

Morning…

I slept till 8:00 this morning. Very unusual for me which means I slept 11 hours. Guess my body needed it.

Yesterday I had an appointment at a traveling dermatologist office. Really liked the people I met and was impressed with the care I got. I have large dry spots on my back that have a name. Been there for many years. The tech told me the reason they are so itchy is because they are growing. No wonder they drive me crazy. Anyway they can become pre-cancerous so he froze them. Most are at my bra line. They needed to be covered because they will blister before they will heal so I am going to be bra less for a while.

Already stripped my bed and remade it. Sheets are in the wash so I need to keep an eye on it. My focus today will be continued work on my office. Many challenges but getting there.

Friday I bought a Beta Fighting fish. Think this is the fourth on I’ve had. All have been named Fred. That because the first one I had was kept in my classroom and I needed a simple name for my students. Back then most of my beloved kids had an average IQ of about 72 and although they were in 7-8th grade had a reading level of a third grader.

One day I found Fred dead during lunch and my kids saw me wrapping him up ina napkin. It was traumatic for them and I didn’t want to toss him in the garbage so I put him in my lunch bag and brought him home.

Several days latter I bought another Beta. It didn’t occur to me that he looked exactly like the first one. When my students came into class they got excited shouting … Fred’s alive, Fred’s alive! I loved having fun with my kids so when they asked how did that happen I said…. Fred was frozen in my freezer and when I took him out he started to wiggle. One of my more smarter girls said…Ms F, you know that’s not true. So I looked directly in her eyes and said… you do believe in miracles while madly winking my eye. Suddenly she got it and started yelling… I do believe in miracles, I do, I do I do!!!

So every Beta that I have owned has been named Fred in honer of my girl and her belief in “miracles” cause we all need to believe in them too
