Thanks for the start, Harriet! I probably posted (twice!) a minute or so after you did, so got to delete.

I am not doing well on my list for the week but am giving myself today to focus on what I want to do - genealogy. I struck out on the social security yesterday and now need a trip to the office, which I will do tomorrow a.m. when they open.

Right now I'm going to finish a.m. routine.

Thinking I should spread those zinnia seeds today. We'll have rain again tonight and tomorrow.

I love a good, "watcha doin' day"!!!

waving the Forest Gump wave to you both d Harriet, Twins and d everyone!!!

My ideas for today have changed.

Yesterday I ended up sleeping bc of a headache - I am letting that day go behind me. It was what it was. It was a beautiful day to work outside but I tend to get a headache before the rain actually hits us.

Today we have gentle rain - well sometimes lots of rain :D 8-) - but I love this kind of weather as it reminds me of great times growing up - fishing in wilderness with my family, times out in the country, lots of times in Door County, and sailing or cleaning the boat. I actually love weeding in days like this.

My hope today:
clean the patio, weed the flower and veggie bed.
let the dogs run around the yard.
go to laundry mat
stop by home de pot for manure. I might order horse manure at the end of the summer as it's free
it is always a joy to be here with you!

Twins' I'm surprised you actually will need to travel there. Hope the zinnia seeds get a good footing. Love to see zinnias blooming, and they are fast, too.

Today the repairman finally  comes to fix dd42's van window. She has a "window" of 8 a.m. to noon - otherwise, no idea. As soon as he leaves she must scoot out to work and I'll get a call letting me know to check on the boys through the day for however many hours are left. I'm sure they'll be fine. We're just settling down into the new routine of the two oldest boys being freed up from school and able to be downstairs any time, rather than tied to upstairs desks.

Desk Day for me today, including some calls - not so bad.
Extra laundry today.

I think Harmony has an email.

Both dds have asked for my smoothie recipes. Dd42 bought a nutri bullet for first time. I think dd23 is more aware of what my recipes are going to be like. Youngest dgs told me yesterday that he expects milkshakes. Really, what I have is several recipes from the past that were discarded for cause, such as too many calories, and then the ONE that I've settled on, that I've chatting about with Run Kitty, with its variations. I don't know if I'll really be meeting the need either one of them thinks I will.

"that I've chattED about with RunKitty" is what I meant to say. Haven't heard from her, but wish we would.

Good morning!

My big goal for the day is to get groceries ordered. We're kind of on the dregs right now. Freezer and pantry are awfully low; the fridge is a little better from a small grocery run a few days ago.

I hope all your adventures are successful!

Good Morning!

I drove DD10 to school for her last Wednesday of 5th grade. The extra police presence with flashing lights wasn't comforting to me this morning. There was a remark said yesterday afternoon about our school system that resulted in a massive police response, interrogation, investigation, and search. It was on a local FB group being discussed. I received a phone call from school around 10pm saying all is okay. I received a text message from our local police around 11pm giving more details and assurance. The police presence in our school will be heavy for the last 2 days of school out of an abundance of caution and to calm the worried parents.

DS13 has finished homeschooling and left for work. He drove his new-to-him motorbike the 2 blocks to his boss's residence. I am not sure this is a good decision, but I approved of him doing it anyway. We get about one car an hour on this road so his chances of seeing another vehicle during the 2-block ride is slim. But still....

I don't think I like the decisions I have needed to make this morning. Which is higher risk? DD10 going to public school surrounded by police presence or DS13 driving 2 blocks on the road. No answer expected....

I need to focus on what I can do to make a difference in my life, home, family, and friends.

I think I am having a bit of depression - I will get back to work with the one step at a time plan.

So far today:
I went to home de pot for the things I needed. It's been raining on and off all day
I also went to the laundry mat and that's done.
(bought a poncho incase it rains again when I weed)
gentle rain I can handle and enjoy - as long it's not cold rain
it is always a joy to be here with you!
