Mighty Friday PWYC

Today is Friday before the U.S. memorial day long weekend. It would be a mighty Friday to finish up projects for the week, or start the holiday weekend early, or do what ever it is you mightily need to make happen!

Make it a mighty day!

Good morning, Twins, and all who follow!

I’m not sure whether to apply BGS today or apply butt glue — today needs to be a serious desk day. I haven’t done any payroll since Monday. It’s been easy to put it off with the expert out of town, but he’s back on Tuesday, and I will need to have something to give to him; otherwise, he’ll be left twiddling his thumbs.

Not much else around here, so I will just wish you all a lovely day!

There were too many moving parts for me to jam in this morning: getting ready for dcleaning lady, s2s myself, and the grocery store, so I'm doing the grocery store after lunch. Dh and I are having lunch with the wife of our former rabbi and another friend. The wife is is town for a few days to visit friends here.

I was trying to delay or have a light breakfast since I'm having lunch out, but I just finished off my veal parm from dinner out last night. I was just going to eat a bite or two and then it was gone.

I'm heading upstairs to get out of dcleaning lady's way.

I have the dreaded "list" ;) :D
I have decided to work as I did the other day when my ADHD hit hard. I am writing one job at a time and doing that job. I was surprised how much I accomplished working in baby steps.

1. take meds
2. look gorgeous for the work I need to do. :? ;) 8-)
it is always a joy to be here with you!

Good morning ladies.
I have peeled and made deviled eggs for my personal planning retreat this weekend.
With planned leftovers I am pleased with my efforts.
Washer twins are running now laundry is done folded & put away yea!
We had rain in the nite and I slept well.
Waving to everyone as you go about your day.

I have jello setting up in the fridge.
Just at lunch time bs tanked changed clothes napped and am doing well now.

Pruned a bit on low hanging branches on the purple leaf plum tree & picked up after the dog.
Worked on my journaling prompts.
Have a H.P journal coming with out prompts so these can go in that one.
I've cleaned up the kitchen at least three times today.
It is a great day for inside stuff as rain is in the forecast.

My super hero cape is donned and hoping to be all finished preparing for our trip north by the time dd gets home from school/work today. Students are done at noon. She has everything done she had to do for year end but had to wait to be 'signed off' on everything'. Sometimes that's just a 'hurry up & wait' for 2-3 hours. BUT, she just called dsonil and said she's all signed off and can leave as soon as she's done with students. School board has dictated that they have to be in attendance at school Tuesday morning. She was a little miffed about it since it's only coming in until 9:30 am and being at a meeting. Then they could leave. That's another 4+ days off vacation/travel time. Finally ended up that she's taking Tuesday off WITHOUT PAY. Her 'take was, "I'm not sticking around for 4+ days just for an hour and a half meeting." But since she didn't use a vacation or personal day she'll get paid for that at the end of her tenure. Besides she has a $1,500 stiped from the school for extras she did and has a $515 check coming from the local ice arena and she got a $100 from her Uncle Tuesday and has a couple more checks sitting here to deposit. So she's fine. At any rate I imagine we'll be headed toward Orlando and headed north somewhere between 12:30-1:00pm.

I'm shutting down my computer now (without CUOP). Will catch you all in a few days. Meantime stay well and happy.
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!

Sending safe travel thoughts and prayer for DDee and daughter.
apply BGS today or apply butt glue
I'm drawing a blank. What does BGS mean? Butt Glue Solvent?
I write BGS in my journal almost every day but I use the acronym to mean "Big Green Salad".

Team cleaning happened this morning in our home. It feels so good afterwards.

After we finished cleaning at our home I spent an hour at church cleaning 10 glass doors, 10 sinks, 11 cmds, and 3 water fountains. This afternoon I will vacuum & mop the floors in the middle of the church. I am taking Henry with me, so I don't have to use the church vacuum that requires dragging around a 100' extension cord.
Stay curious. Challenge assumptions. Success loves persistence.
When life gets difficult, learn to sing & dance in the rain.

Dee and ddJ, safe travels!

LadyM, that's great to be writing "Big Green Salad" every day. My ddad used to say whatever you write down, you will remember. I think it may be Dr. Fuhrman who judges a person's daily salad-size need by their head - we need a salad as big as our own head.

Yes, Butt Glue Solvent.

Power was out as we slept, then came on at 8:00 a.m. so not much trouble. The whole area had a terrible time with storms, even tornadoes overnight. Lots of damage photos on the news.

Two sets of company, but one got the time frame wrong and so we had both sets at once for a while. Too social for me in a small house, but it was fine. The child in the group got training from me in ready-for-K, whether it was appreciated or not. :geek: (MIGHTY teacherish of me) We went over ABCs, and how to hold a pencil. I see no reason I should lend my colored pencils if I don't get to teach about how to hold them, you know?

Note to self : buy new K-size pencils for little visitors. I think that's still considered the right way to teach, isn't it? The fat pencils first?
