My home is suffering from CHAOS! I came home to tons of weeds, plants that need to be planted, dog hair everywhere, and my white cabinets are dog marked!!!
Today: I am bringing out my timer and focusing on 10 - 15 minutes at a time.
I wish you all a wonderful and blessed day!!!! (d Lynn - a restful evening).

Good Morning!
Blessed - thanks for the start.
I'm having a good start to my day. Using the SHE cards gives me the assurance that I'm aware of things that need to be done.
Today is Elderberry luncheon in the home of a lifelong DFriend. She is providing the meat and everyone else is bringing sides and desserts. I made potato salad this morning to take. I'll also be assembling a big green salad with multiple vegetables to take. I've told DS13 that he is on his own for lunch today. There are plenty of leftovers available or frozen foods to put in air fryer. He won't starve.
Tax prep is my project for the day. I will be working on it in between other things.
I just delivered DS13 to his worksite. I chatted with his boss about our fence project. His welder is visiting family in Mexico for a month, so our fence project is on hold until he returns. I could hire someone else but I'm willing to wait.
I am bringing out my timer and focusing
Good idea! I will join you in using a timer. I will be doing 45/15 work/break times

Just did a spread sheet to calculate our propane costs (ALREADY) this season. So far we're up to $324!

Dh has been here 2 months. Want to have some idea how much we're spending on heat. Need to figure electric costs for our heaters somehow. Want to see which is cheaper (if at all).
I have a L O N G list of 'special projects' that need to be completed. Right now I'm trying to do at least one a day.
Just now finished my breakfast and it's 10:30 already. Slept fairly well.
DD is NOT going to FL Friday. Think we both have mixed feelings on that. Her super at her 'fun job' told her she'd more than done her part on working games and she's good. So she cancelled her flight and found the downside to F rontier Air -she had to pay a $90 cancellation charge. So live and learn. She'll be here now until the last weekend in July. At least that's the plan.
Okay, off to set my timer on each room and do a quick picker up in each.

hello d dee! I hope the bill goes down!!! I am sorry your dd had to pay a $90 cancellation fee!
have a great day!
hello d lady!
Using the SHE cards gives me the assurance that I'm aware of things that need to be done.
Using the card file does make things run smoothly! good for you!
Have a wonderful time with d friend.
So happy to have you and d dee with me on timer duty!
I spent 5 minutes in each area of one part of the garden before dh called me in bc he was worried about the heat index.
I got about a hour and half out there and I can see a difference. The ground is soaked!!!!
Took a much needed shower!
heat index is only 93 deg. right now but the humidity is reminiscent of Florida. We are supposed to hit 95 degrees with a heat index of 100+.
laundry - my mud filled outfit, gym shoes and towels are in a longer wash cycle right now.
next load will be whites.
See you after my timer goes off!

I spent 45 minutes in the garden. I didn't mean to stay that long but time seems to evaporate when I'm there. I watered & pulled grass that was growing in between plants and fed them to the rabbits. I harvested garlic, strawberries, tomatoes, peppers, and white potatoes.
DH just got a call from home health and they are enroute to his DMom's home. DMIL doesn't want to be alone when she meets these nurses for the first time, which is understandable. DH is going to miss Elderberry lunch to go be with his DMom and meet this nurse. In the last 5 days the health care nurses have all been extremely competent and giving DMIL excellent care. We learn their names and duties as they come to DMIL home. So far, the health care team includes Rachel, Anette, Tammy, Amanda, Brittney, Mary and Justin. Our family doctor is involved too but the nurses deal directly with him.

I'm beating the Chaos back a little at a time.
Tonight we have the HOA annual meeting at 6:30 p.m. when it will still be 95 degrees out.

I don't know that I'm up for it - the western sun really hits our pavilion. I feel like I should go, tho, we have a discussion and vote tonight on repairing/fixing for good a drainage issue that the developer 15 years ago didn't do well.
I got in 5K steps yesterday around the house. So I'm resuming activities. I wish I could get myself up early enough to walk before it gets so hot. I just can't face the heat and humidity. I sat on the front porch while talking to dd last night and felt it.
I am fretting with my case study, trying to make it flow better and follow more logically. I've looked at some other published case studies and can't find one that I can model after. I'm trying to think how I would explain it to someone if I were explaining verbally.
I did a COVID home test last night and it was negative so I slept downstairs in our bed. Had to take my CPAP off because it was triggering coughing (or I felt like it was?) and then dh woke me up in the middle of the night yelling (at least it felt like it!) to put it back on. I was apparently snoring badly. I scheduled a PCR test for later today to see if it's truly gone.
And...the test is in an hour so I need to eat my brunch...

DD and DBiscuit stopped for about an hour after their walk around the pond. Meantime DDIL (DS-A) texted us and DGD27 about when she plans to return to work. She actually has quite a bit of maternity and family leave time. Plus she can take her vacation time at the end of that so her plan is to be out at least till the end of August. DDIL wants to have a mini-family post baby shower and perhaps a meal at the same time. (Which reminds me I need to get my phone -it's still on the deck. I unplugged it at 100% to go chat with dd outside. When she checked again it was down to 19%. I'm pretty sure the battery is dying in it. I just don't want to do anything till dh's new phone is paid for and that won't be for a few months yet.)
Dh has been in for lunch -made tuna salad on croissants for us. Think we'll have Zweigle hots and zesty beans for supper.
I just refigured our propane cost (so far this year) after dh came in. Seems some of the cost I calculated was for other things at the campground store and one tank was one he filled for dd. It's $25.92 per 20# tank this year. Last year it was $18.56 per 20# tank. It is what it is. I feel bad for people who were barely 'making it' before gas prices rose so dramatically. In order to eat they need to work. In order to work they have to spend 'grocery' money on gas.

Hoping your PCR comes back negative too, Twins.
I just finished doing my (timed) surface cleaning throughout the inside of the RV. Still have to do dishes but think I'll wait until after dinner tonight to do those. Try not to do dishes more than once a day here.
Need to go to the grocery store and bank tomorrow. Need to get $1's and $5's for the yard sale this Saturday. I'll also get quarters to use for the laundry room. Will also go to the $ tree to get paper clips, (can't believe I need those here -have several boxes in FL), and water bowls for the 3 dogs. They don't share well.

Also need to go to another grocery store to get a few things that won't be at A ldi's. DD wants to go to H ome D epot to look at gazebos as well. She was going to try fixing hers but it may be just as well to buy one. So, they're all going in the same direction.
