Hope everyone has plenty of mojo today!
We are going through some boxes for declutter here. HRH is ahead of me. Better get back to it!
Wishing a very happy belated birthday to lucylee and Harmony and Sherinjoy, too.

I need some mojo today, Nancy! It is cinnamon that produces it? I think I'm out of luck for sure.
I'm at a point in my kitchen that I want to get unpacked but I'm trying to be thoughtful and let them get drawer pulls etc. on drawers. And I'd like to get those closures on the uppers but dh is still looking for the perfect item.

I know they will have to drill to get the drawer pulls and the closures on and I'd like to avoid cleaning them twice, but I am feeling the frustration this a.m. Only Joseph was working last week, the other one who is full time is sick - has an ulcer and no health insurance - so I know he's in worse shape than I am - and I hate to complain out loud. So you guys are hearing it. (Vent over??)
I do have other things that need to be done, obviously.
As long as I'm venting, dh and I are apparently in a bit of a power struggle about where to put away things in the kitchen now. He he's been moving things I've put away.

And I've moved things he's put away, lol.
I need to find the rinse agent stuff to add to the dishwasher and haven't come across it yet. And there are three boxes in the garage I can't get to. They have debris and supplies all around.
I also forgot to wish Lucylee and Harmony a very Happy Birthday yesterday! And Sherinjoy if she drops in too!
Dh and I are planning to have a Rosh Hashana afternoon dinner this year after two years off for COVID. We'll do it smaller - the guest lists as it stands is "only" thirty, and of those, not all will come. Total includes us and both dkids - dd may or may not be here, and I don't know about ds, whether he will take off work. Four weeks from today.
Dcleaning lady was supposed to be here tomorrow (instead of Friday) to help me clean and unpack but I'll put her off until next week. Not ready yet.
As usual for Monday, I'm having a hard time getting started.

Good morning!
Nancy - Thanks for the start
Because I'm in school mode I looked up mojo in the dictionary
a quality that attracts people to you and makes you successful and full of energy:
My mojo (what attracts people to me) is because I am the one that keeps the plates spinning. Also, i keep food on those plates. Food is a great attraction to the hungry.
Draft PODA for today -
** Public school. DD11 was not doing well with time management this morning. She got distracted by her phone and wasn't ready on time. The consequence was modifying the schedule that her phone is locked. Now she has access to her phone between the hours of 4pm - 9 pm on school days.
** Homeschool. 7 subjects with assignments in each. DS14 is working on them now.
** DMIL 91st birthday. The extended family celebrated it this weekend, but we will continue the celebration today with cake and balloons.
** Hand pie practice. I'm trying a different crust and filling recipe today.
** Chicken & dumplings is on the menu.
** Grocery store to pick up a few items needed.

This was in my Dutch proverb this morning: "A Mighty Oak is not felled with one chop". Once again reminding us to 'eat the elephant' one bite at a time.
Only time to say hello -toodaloo for now- need to go to the laundry room and switch our laundry.

Back. Have been re-doing list for cardiologist tomorrow morning. Another concerning thing cropped up this week. Dh had mentioned that it rattled his cage last Wednesday when "I fell asleep on the riding mower". I've been thinking about that and said to him this morning: "You're not going to 'like' this question. But, do you think when you said you 'fell asleep' that maybe you actually passed out?" He told me after thinking about it that he hadn't even considered that and really didn't know. At any rate it's one more thing to tell Dr tomorrow morning. And on my angst continues while trying very hard to keep the faith.
Talked with dd this morning. She did finally spike a temp of 102 Friday night. She sounds terrible. Her Dr told her this morning that usually the anti-viral med they give for Covid they usually prescribe for those over 65. But since she's 'nearing' that age he prescribed it for her. Told her to stay out of school at least 4 days and since Friday is a 'teacher work day' not to plan on going then even if she is testing negative. She did tell him she's supposed to work a Women's Pro hockey tournament next weekend in Wesley Chapel. He told her she should 'be good to go by then' but to still test and wear a mask. I'm wearing a mask whenever I go out at this point not that I can't get it right here. Will get the next vaccine as soon as it becomes available which I think is going to be very soon. Sure dh can't get it right now.

my mojo: my body hasn't figured it out yet
my brain gives me a wonderful list of adventures but my body laughs and says "Really"?!
thank you d Nancy for starting us! have a great day!
hi d harriet great work going through the boxes
hi twins again welcome home!
lol - I still wonder if your dh and my dh are brothers from a different mother!
praying for the man and his ulcer - painful!
I am so happy you vent here! it's good for all of us to be able to talk!.
I was thinking that I was having a hard time getting started today as well. I know once I start that I will be continuing during the week. I tend to see how much work, "I should do" rather than going with the flow.
So happy you can have family and friends come again for Rosh Hashana
hi d lady - I was thinking I needed my energizer bunny - so happy to see you! You also keep me remembering to take time to learn.
Happy birthday to your d mil!
hello d dee. I like that saying1 thank you for the reminder.
have a great day
oh your sweet girl!!! 102 - I am praying she feels better soon and that Covid leaves her body right away!!!

Love it, Blessed! Oh yeah, my body laughs very often!
Dh and I went down and put the laundry into the dryer twin. Then we went up to the store for more quarters (for the laundry machines -sure wish I had half the money we've fed into them this year). Were only able to procure $10/worth. But at least that gave me 2 more $5's to put away for 'tip money'.
We go to the Pub here almost every week. I get tired of the 'limited' menu but then we're not spending gas $$ to get there. I will be using gas later to go the T O P S grocery store in Avon. There's a few things I need that I can't get at A ldi's. I did notice yesterday when I went by our gas station that our "member" price was down to $4.19/gal. Better than the $4.59 - $4.79/gal we've been paying for sure.
I definitely need to follow Lady M's example and plan out menus (at least somewhat) for the week.

Good morning to LadyM, Harriet, and Nancy, and thank you Nancy for getting us started with MOJO!
I am feeling so overwhelmed and I'm trying not to complain to dh.
Bless his heart. Last night he said "if you have time tomorrow you could..."
I am trying to get my day shaped up. I had eleven things on my list for today and that doesn't include a lot of little things. One was texting dcleaning, and I did that. One is texting everyone on the Rosh Hashana invite list.
I need to run some errands, but also need some groceries because I hated to buy produce etc. last Thursday. I've decided to do an Instacart order to be delivered between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. and run some errand between now and then.
-Lowes return of fan that didn't work
-UPS store for two amazon returns (one needs packing up and labeling)
-Post office
Next up:
-breakfast/brunch
-get package ready for amazon return
-get all three returns plus post office oversized letter in car
-clean the floor of the future pantry (previously known as the closet by the garage)
I didn't post Friday at all. On Friday a.m. the first priority of the Js was for one to move the electric outlet and the cable plug in up high so it would clear the pantry and we could still have our router for the house up there. That meant that the filing cabinet and printer previously living there went into our MBR with no plan yet for where they will live. Silly me. I don't know when the guy will show up with the pantry to install so I want it clean first. If I had more mojo I would have painted the closet too, but never mind.
Which reminds me, I also need to go to SW store for paint. (But first, should also check to see what we have.) It never ends here!
my brain gives me a wonderful list of adventures but my body laughs and says "Really"?!
Here, too, bw2. Thanks for the laugh!

Came home from knitting to find that dh had done the dishes. That put a smile on my face.
Leftovers for supper.
