Oy, I can use some focus today! I hope the focus fairy visits today to sprinkle ꧁ღ focus magic sparkles ღ꧂over our day!

I still have not found my phone but it appears to be in the house. And my house is such a total mess right now that it could be anywhere. I haven't left the house since I recall using it except to walk around the block with dfriend M, and I'm pretty sure I didn't take it with me. I didn't have pockets yesterday. I used it mid afternoon downstairs when I had to try to google and find an extender for the lights under the cabinet - the one ordered was the wrong color although the photo indicated it was white, not gray. After that I was upstairs once or twice but don't think I took it up there. And as I said, "stuff" is every where here. Same with garage, although not to the extent that it was several weeks ago.

I need some peace and quiet to work on getting kitchen together. Dh wants to help, but right now I need time to wipe out all the cabinets. He keeps insisting that they will clean them, but they have vacuumed already and cabinets and drawers badly need wiping out for dust. And my kitchen is still full of dust. They're doing minimal sanding of drywall but everything, everywhere in this house is dusty.

Today is another small-town fair day. I won't be attending most of it but will pick and choose different things to watch/participant.
10am - Parade
7pm - Pie auction fundraiser.

Yesterday was exhibits, sheep & goat show, and our tiny fairway with games and rides. DH and I teamed up to run the kiddie car rides. It was going well until the rain arrived. We were under a covering, so it stayed dry but the number of kids wanting to ride rapidly declined.

I planned to practice making fried pies several times, but that didn't happen. Ready or not (I'm not) this is the day that I will be making them.

We just had a longtime DFriend stop by before 8am to talk with DH. As I was walking to open the front door, I took a quick look around and saw the living room looked presentable. #Thankful.

Stretching is helping I feel better and did a couple of moves I could not before yea for progress.

I have stretched and walked cleaned half of the counters, & made the bed.
Ddog did not walk dson said he has been hearing coyotes so might be their scent the reason she is to wanting to leave the yead.

A gift to myself to make room for my new pioneer woman canisters.
My cup is small that I had on my wish list dson got me one too. LOL!
And market bag set, the one I picked was not available.
Got the other one realized I rarely go anywhere these days.
I put a tablecloth on the tall desk to hide stuff on the shelf under it.

Doing some regular Friday stuff.

I am doing to work on rounds and do some writing next up.
That seems to work for me. 105* today so inside stuff is up to do.

Workers found my phone, apparently dh didn't go into the garage when he was calling it. Anyway, I have it again, thank goodness. All is well with the world.

They had kitchen island covered by the time I finished shower so that has limited my progress. The first coat of the wall paint is up and looks wonderful!

I've started challah - not sure why I feel compelled to make a loaf for each of them, we're giving them a nice tip today also, but it's going in the breadmaker. Meanwhile, I need to do a pick up at HD and go to the grocery. By the time I get back it will be ready to roll out and shape. I think I'll have enough room on kitchen counters do it.

The bedsheets are in the washer, I should check on those before I take off. Not feeling very together, but having the phone back helps. Perhaps the Focus Fairy will continue to sprinkle her magic here!

IKWYM with having the phone ack and feeling like things are ack in sync. I am looking forward to having a working keyoard again. Notice the missing letters in my typing? For the past couple of days, I have een doing cu/paste each time I write to add the missing letters. ANYway, today the laptop should arrive. I am looking forward to having all of the keyoard work again.

Amused at LadyM's missing letters. We understand you, lol. It must be keyboard-replacement time. HRH just had to have one replaced.

A little village-keeping:
2 things are happening at the same time: It's the start of the first (HGP) of the traditional holiday preparation plans/calendars, AND September is the first month without Organized Home, the web-home to which we have always linked to the 3 plans in the past. Yesterday I posted a 2022 Holiday Planning thread in our Creative Home forum explaining that, with link to CEO's very nice letter. One part of that post is a suggestion to let us know what you are doing about planning (some of us keep notebooks that wouldn't even require looking online anymore). Also, the September Art, Craft and Needlework thread includes this time the September abbreviated HGP (Holiday Grand Plan) specific to gifting/decor/handmades, just in case that reminds or assists.

First chance I've had to get here this morning -oops! it's afternoon.

Slept from about 10pm till 1am and that's all SHE wrote until around 6am. Was up after that once of twice but dozed until after 9 so ended up with almost 6 hours overall. But that being said, I'm still feeling pretty sleepy today.

Here it is lunch time and I only ate less than 2 hours ago. And here I am still plunking away at this computer. I keep 'tweaking' things. Maybe, eventually, everything will be to my liking?

My big project for today is to fill out all the forms for next year's fee to the campground. We have MANY pages that have to read (all the rules/regulations) and each page initialed by each of us. So that will take a while. Then to "wobbly" write that big check. We just pay the whole thing (we only have to pay a non-refundable deposit of $600). When we pay up early we get 10 free guest passes -each worth $4. We have to fill out a guest pass for anyone we have come in over the age of 17 so we don't usually end up using them all. Unfortunately they can't be forwarded to the next year.

I was going to say I guess I'll fix dh's lunch, but then he just ate less than an hour ago too. So guess it's late lunch/early dinner for us today. I have leftover shepherd's pie and leftover dish from dinner at the Pub last night so guess that's what I'll warm up later today.
