Good morning!

Nancy - Thanks for the start.

I woke up feeling well rested and ready to get started.

PODA -
** 8am - kids @ car wash fundraiser. Although DS14 said he is going to work instead of volunteering at fundraiser. I explained that fundraising is part of going on fun trips. If he doesn't want to be a part of raising money for the trips then he should not expect to go on the fun trips.
** 1pm DMIL hair appt.
** 5pm first practice for movie. I'm not sure I want to do this, but some DFriend are insisting we do it together and telling me it will be fun.

DD11 will be going to spend the night with DD46. I hope DD46 follows through with this invite. She has cancelled on DD11 the last 2 times.

Morning…

Hurray I can finally get in! Thanks LadyM :D

I had an excellent night last night. I spent the evening among friends and our hostess was a medium. She was very insightful with her reading and it was interesting to talk with her in an informal setting.

Before she joined us I was talking with a friend about her dog that had recently died and how u h my friend missed him. He was a little white dog she bought to keep her mom company when she went to work. Right before her mom died the pup began whining and crawled up next to neck and snuggled in and once settled ther mom took her last breath. She said when the medical people removed her mom, the pup sat by the door and howled the entire time till long after her mom was gone.

After an hour of the medium reading people, my friend and I sat back while others went to get refreshments. The medium came over and sat by us. She looked at me and said…you have the gift don’t you? I said … how can you tell? To which she replied… You are totally surround by the Archangel Gabriel and his force is very strong. Go home and read about him.

Gabriel is the Angel that appeared to Mary to tell her she was carrying the Son of God. We talked a bit about my abilities which I am not always comfortable with and she was very helpful for me.

Then she turned to my friend and said she saw a man who was smoking and the smell of smoke was very strong. Turned out my friends grandfather fit her description. Then she asked her… so your hands hurt? Nope she said. The medium then said… before your mom died, her hands were very twisted and painful and your mom hopes it doesn’t happen to you. Turns out my moms friend had RA.

We were both amazed. Then suddenly the medium said… oh btw a little white dog just jumped up on your lap! As we were getting ready to resume the readings the medium turned to me and said… I see a young man with dark hair standing next to you and he is very handsome. Do you know who this is? I answered yes. She said he is showing me a crown of red flowers, does that mean any thing to you?

I had a very dear friend that died of AIDS. He gave me plants that bloom red flowers and before he died he told me he would send me a message once he past that he was ok. On that day I came down stairs to see my plants had all bloomed red. That was 30 years ago and every year I keep those plant around me to remember him.

Last night before I left for the party, I picked two leaves and several of its red flowers in my pants pocket so when she asked about the crown of red flowers, I stuck my hand into my pocket and pulled them out. She was overwhelmed with emotion and call all my friends back into the room to tell them what had just happened.

To say it was an interesting night is an understatement and just this morning I ordered a medal of Archangel Gabriel to keep with me.

RR - WOW! OH WOW!

Thinking of Kathryn today and hoping she has a Happy Birthday.

DS14 decided he would volunteer at the car wash fundraiser this morning and then go to work this afternoon. This is the first year DD11 has participated in this, so she was nervous but eager.

DH made an egg scramble dish this morning that was a treat. I gave him 3 choices for what I would cook later today - Spaghetti & meat sauce, Indian Tacos or Meatloaf & potatoes. DH asked which one is easiest for me to cook and I explained they are all about the same. He chose meatloaf. We are restarting a previous tradition of having homemade banana splits on Saturday night. I think I have all the ingredients for that, but I need to double check.

On the chance Kathryn might peek in wishing her an especially good/happy Birthday! Enjoy your day, Kathryn.

Just finally finished my breakfast and now need to get back to straightening this (small) living space up. Then about and hour and a half I'm taking dh to watch DGS10 play in a hockey tournament. He's planning on going to watch DGS race tonight. Neighbors across the street have offered to take him. I'm hoping he doesn't overdo in the meantime. He was cleaning our portion of 'slide-out' rug in the kitchen this morning, down on his knees and scrubbing. Didn't want him to but as many of you know -a workaholic. He's so looking forward to getting this next procedure done. And I'm hoping it does the trick.

today is the all day declutter on the Take your house back course. I am listening but not doing. I will use it for clutter check.

I am beginning to realize that I let go of everything in the evening and that I wake up to visual clutter. I am not putting things away when I use them at night. dd older is the same. dh is not as bad!

I'm upstairs listening to the webinar, just started. Dh has gone to his Rotary volunteer gig today. He got up and did garage clean up with some guidance, and loaded my car to go to the Goodwill.

Happy Birthday to Kathryn! Hoping she sees this if she drops in!

Happy Birthday, Kathryn. I hope you have a nice day.

Up and at 'em early this morning. Our breakfast gathering was wonderful. I sat at our table with a couple of people I know well, 1 is in my Friday class and I've known her for years. We all had a very nice conversation. The food was delicious. I was good and did not overeat, a couple spoonfuls of 2 of the casseroles, some fruit, a muffin and some coffee. More than I'd eat here at home but I really could have loaded up my plate! Then we had a hymn sing, some of the old favorites with 4 nice singers leading and one man with his guitar. Enjoyed that too. It was worth getting up early!

Home and back into work clothes. I have finished everything out there except for taking the tapes off and painting around the smaller sliding glass door. It was a couple hours' work. But it is raining hard now and I must wait. My goodness we've had so much rain recently.

I have chores at my desk, but I think I'll take a break first.
