Wake up Wednesday!

If y’all had gotten a steroid shot yesterday, I bet you’d be awake. ;)

Judging by my bathroom breaks and the way my mind was on overdrive all night, I estimate I slept about an hour or so. And some tears. Maybe this shot is making me more emotional, too? I’m still in bed. Dh is sleeping.

I need to have a productive day and I think the shot is going to help, but it’s going to be a long day. Ddil and I, and another lady, are in charge of Wednesday night supper at church tonight.

Hope you all have a great day!

Good Morning!

(((LucyLee))) I hope the meds make you feel better soon. Thanks for the start today. I will join you in being accountable for Intermittent fasting and walking minimum of 5 minutes a day.

My morning has been normal. **Big sigh of relief** I love normal. Normal = no problems, no drama, just flowing from one thing to another getting things done.

Looking around for CathyS while wondering how she is doing.

Morning…

Lucylee, hope you are starting to feel better.

Sweetie and I went out to dinner last night and had a wonderful salad with chicken. However even though the boiling water watch was over, I decided to drink Diet Pepsi instead. Knew the caffeine would make sleeping difficult last night and it did.

Forced myself to get up and go to my 8:00 exercise class and am glad I did. Came home and took a shower and will be heading to WM in a while. Need to finish my hair …

See y’all later …..

I slept late again- I woke at 6:22 and thought "I will just lay here for a second" and then woke up at 9:00 am.
I think it's because I know I don't have to go somewhere or that my time is my own instead of doing things for others like I used to.
I have to figure out a way to just get up and get going for me! I used to love getting up early before the kids - I used to love to get a jump on the day and see the sun rise - now I am tired if I get up at 5 and then by 9 I am tired. lol.

d Lucy - good morning -I am sorry the shot stopped you from your sleep but I was so happy to see you start our day.
thank you!
hope the shot effects wear off soon!

d lady good morning as well.
I hope today is a completely normal day for you!!!

good morning d rose! how nice that you went out for dinner! sorry the caffeine gave you a problem with your sleep.
good for you for going to your exercise class!

hello dear everyone.

what I should do first: dailies - counters need washing..
look at checking account

what I want to do - go get the pea gravel and one flagstone
get tip for cleaning ladies and pay back dh $10
anti procrastination day

DH joined me in a 20 minute walk this morning.

I made DH 2 breakfast burritos. I choose to not have the X-Treme wraps with my breakfast but to only eat the egg/vegetables.

Next up - Homeschool with DS14

Hello. I'm sorry for those who are feeling under the weather. Lucylee, hope that medicine helps you to feel better.

Busy day here. DH was up working way early and I slept through that. He didn't call me to help (which he usually does) so I was surprised to get up and find he had pressure washed the back porch and other 2 slabs. The middle slab he had used the grinder on and knocked down that awful rough texture he put on there. He used the whirly brush thing on the pressure washer and the back porch has never looked this good except when brand new. But we are still going to coat it and paint.

We went to the contractor store and got what we need to do this after talking with the counter guy for a while. I picked a color to go overtop, it's a creamy color. Had thought to do grey, but the grey they had was the exact color of new concrete and I didn't want it to look like just concrete. DH let me pick and I had a very hard time doing that. I hope I like this creme color when we get done. I didn't want it dark or too light...or yellow-ish. Another one was pretty but had pink overtones which I thought maybe DH wouldn't like although he told me whatever I want.

DH went out for muriatic acid to etch the surface first (we couldn't find any here) but he is back now.

I did a LOL before we left this morning and I had to put the drying rack on the front porch and I've hung the rest on hangers out there too. We look like ma and pa kettle, but it's only temporary. I am running out of work clothes. I've been hand washing bras every night. I guess I'll find something else old to wear and go out and help now.

It looks like rain...AGAIN... I'd be happy if we had 2 days of rest from this weather so we could get done.

DS14 had already completed most of today's homeschool assignments before we sat down together. I just had to check his work, discuss a few things to verify that he understood, and work through 5 algebra problems together. We both do each problem by ourselves and then check that we have the same answer. If our answers don't agree, then we work together step by step solving the problem and locating where one of us was wrong. I'm not a fan of algebra but I do appreciate how structured & logical it is.

I'm around. I'm okay. Sad at seeing all of the misinformation regarding the Royal family in the media, so I am staying on their official site for updates and watching the official Youtube channel to watch ceremonies without having to listen to some uninformed/badly informed person talking about stuff that is going on.

Supper tonight will be scalloped potatoes. A larger dish than usual because dh just wants that without any meat.

More porch work done. Tools gathered and some put away. I helped DH change out of his wet shoes and socks. Not an easy task. Everything was stuck to him.

We got the blue tape around the bottom of the walls, DH unrolled it as I stuck the bottom part of the tape to the wall. Quite the job. I sat on the floor and just moved around. We have to go out there and attach the plastic to cover the walls, at least the bottom parts so we don't get the texture on it. That won't be easy either and will take both of us. Our plan is to get out there early in the morning to at least get the fog coat on the surface. It has to be dry for 4 hours at least and hopefully it won't rain until 4 hours have gone by.

I don't know how builders and workers are getting things done with this weather. Thinking about stuccoers and painters. I can hear rumbling out there now. DH is sleeping, resting from all the work. This is a challenge for us, harder than it used to be. DH is anxious to get this done before he can't do stuff any more - at least for a while.
