Both kids are home from the lock-in and said they had a fun time. I don't know where I got the thought that I would drop them off and get 12 hours of down time. Ha! Instead I got 24 text messages and 3 phone calls from them during the night. I would have got a better night's sleep if they had stayed home. Ohs well. They are both asleep in their beds now, so this is my few hours of down time instead of during the night.

I am eager to get started today. I like having a checklist (SHE cards) to follow.

Happy Birthday Blessed! You are such an inspiration to me. Enjoy the October fest.

I have been working for the past 3 hours. I'm afraid if I stop I won't get going again. I was ready to paint at 9:00 but DH (despite our plan) had done the edging and was almost halfway down the slab with the paint, using his long pole roller. He knew he was running out of paint so I called the shop and they are not open Saturdays. DH actually drove up there to check and nobody was there. We had no idea they were closed Saturdays. We also had no idea this was going to take twice as much paint as it does. He has used 2 gallons so far. It will take 4.

So, I started working on the backlog of things in the house. 1 LOL done. Worked on my favorite paint brush, it's a bit better now. Had a desk day. I usually put things to be done on the desk until I do them and put them away properly but I had decided to try using one of the letter boxes for those things. That letter box was full. The desk looked less cluttered, but it was also out of sight to remember to do those things. I hope I will get used to this system, it looks better. So for now all that I could do is done.

Cleanup in kitchen. I want to go out and work on the flower garden in front and dig out those big plants that took over the whole thing and divide and put most of it around the back of the house where there is a bare area. I'm going to have to force myself to get out there. I'm beginning to get pretty tired.

Baby stepping my way through the day.

Both kids are awake and eating. They slept 5 hours after they got home and are still groggy.

I made BBQ shredded pork and mashed potatoes for them.

DH has been with his DMom most of the day. He said DMIL is getting up out of bed now on her own and walking to the bathroom. She still isn't eating (3rd day) but she is taking sips of Dr Pepper. DSisIL has volunteered to stay the night with DMIL so DH will come home afterwhile.

I'm not being productive and just want to sit. As soon as I typed that sentence, I realized this wasn't my normal. I took my temperature and its 100F. I don't feel sick other than feeling blah. RSV going around our community, but I don't have those symptoms.

I have the plums gone yea! I convinced them to take all but one small bag just a few forme & dd, or deer.
They knew folks with animals too so that was a great idea.
I have hosed off the truck after the yard sale.
At the yd. sale saw an elder of a church we used to go to it was good to see him we chatted a bit.
Counting yd. sale as a social activity.
got a plant dug up, gave them planting containers I did not need too! They have a green house.

Had lunch.

Rested, did my planning and journaling too.
Then tore up a very large box that held a chair once up on a time, and one other big one,
it took 45 min. arm work out done! It filled up the 33 gal. can.
Plus counting I'm that for my anti p. task.
Branches one in for trash next week, the other will wait a week.

Happy birthday, Blessed1 So glad others got here way before me to send b'day wishes your way!

The day has completely gotten away from us. Started early enough. Dh took the load of laundry down to the laundry house and got it going. He later put it in the dryer and went down the road from us to winterize an RV -they wanted to leave for the south before noon time. Meantime I went down and folded laundry and brought it back in our car. It was too heavy for me to lift really so left it and dneighbor happened to come in and saw it sitting there so brought it in. There were 5 pairs of jeans in there making it just too heavy for me.

After winterizing that one dh wanted to get dd's RV done so he went over and winterized that one -too much obviously. He did do that part but hasn't closed it up yet -leaving that until tomorrow or later this week -won't matter.

Seems like something happened after that -know I still haven't put the laundry away. Dh was gone for a little bit and DS-R and DDIL came by. We sat out and talked for a while till dh came home.

We started the day out with just eating a little breakfast. Plan was (You know what happens to plans) to do that then around lunch time we were going to do a brunch with our new griddle of bacon, home fries and eggs. That didn't happen and it was time for dh to go watch his 'boss' race about 3 miles from here with a little car. I knew dh was in no way ready to drive so I said I'd drive him, drop him off, go get the mail and come back to get him. Got over where he thought it was and he just couldn't find it. So he called M (boss). After a couple of calls there M found out (after he'd just finished loading his cart in his pick-up, that it had been moved to next Saturday.

So, we left there and found our way back into town on the way to the P.O. Dh decided he wanted to find where M lived. So we did that, found them and had nearly an hour of an enjoyable chat. Went to the P.O. and came home. As we pulled in a truck stopped and asked dh for help as they'd broken a water line. So, of course, off he went. DCampmanager came by right then on her way there and dh told her he was going to get tools at the shop. About 45-60 minutes later he called to say he'd gotten the water turned off but they'd called M and he was coming from home to help fix things. Meantime our brunch/lunch/dinner never happened. I finally put the bacon back in the fridge and warmed up my leftovers from dinner at the Pub last night. I'll warm dh's up when he gets here. Oh -here he comes.

Dh went right to the griddle to light it and I yelled out to him to never mind. We'll have a really good breakfast tomorrow -I hope.

Are any of y’all Penn State fans? They are the only ones celebrating around here. Start of the 4th quarter and we just scored, but Penn State is winning, 31-12. I am so tired.

LOL — the only time my dgrands stop talking is when they are eating. I am tired, and broke. :)
