Yard sale find yesterday had an unused soft bound planner 50 Cents. I got it.
I am using it for tracking stuff like unexpected $ spent on things like....
Jan. got new washer
Spring when taxes due on prop.
summer a/c repair & ins. due
Fall furnace upkeep

I put my weekly & daily focus on the calendar part.
Just for a record.

I had been using a notebook this is smaller than a school note book I had used for the past three years.
Classic happy planner size.
Happy planner pages come out and are not as easy to find when the mo. is over.
I will still use them more for future planning.

hello d twins!!! I am glad you enjoyed the game!

it is quiet and for me it is a sign that our d SHE'S are out enjoying life or spending time with family when it is quiet on the weekends.
Yesterday we went to my dear nephew's and his future lovely brides engagement party. It was so lovely!!! I wish everyone had name tags and how everyone connected with the future bride and groom.
Just lovely - I came home and put on cozy pjs and watched a movie.
The restaurant put all the food in individual containers for people to take home - I thought it was brilliant.

Tonight I am planning on having a zoom call between dd older, dd younger and myself - I am not great at doing self care stuff but I and the girls are going to put on a mask, do our nails, have a snack while I put the fireplace on. dd younger laughed about the fireplace - she said she can turn off the a/c to get the same feeling in her place or go outside. I might put on some halloween show for the back ground - like Disneys ichabod crane - the headless horseman.
When dd's had the zoom cooking class, made me think that we, as a family, can do an activity together. I have caramels for apples - I will see if I have dd younger pick up the ingredients for another zoom call - or a pumpkin to carve.

the neighbors party did not come over here - the dad was home so I knew they wouldn't try things on. It was very nice and respectful. They played basketball and were great! (it was cold and drizzly but no problems).

I made my list for the outside work for the week.
I have a floor to wash
dd older and I will plan a veggie menu and keep proteins simple.

Plan
fill fireplace with wood
bring down things for tonight.
ask dh/dd to help me with tv.
gently clean so that I don't feel overwhelmed
go quietly through my day - read - maybe sewing - crafts ?
plan the week for inside the house.

Dishwasher has been emptied. We had bacon in the fridge, so we had bacon and fried eggs and toast and home fries with onions for breakfast.

There is a very small load of dirty clothes, so they can wait until later.

Leftover soup for supper.

Another cold and windy fall day here. Dh has used the leaf blower to move the fallen leaves off of the patio and then he used the riding mower to mulch the rest of the leaves into the grass.

Dh is planted in front of a football game. I think it's one of too many pre game shows. Lots of talking. Therefore it's an NFL game, not CFL.

After doing all my morning routines, I deep cleaned my entire kitchen. Been a while and glad it’s done.

May watch some football myself this afternoon noon or float in my pool and read awhile

I've been puttering about this a.m. Dh has done a couple of the "honey do" tasks and has gone to HD right now. I need to go to the grocery today.

Planning for the week: DH says he will be out Monday, Tuesday and Wed evenings so I have some evening time to work this week. I need to set up a meeting with the gal that I did the research report for and get it to her. Once the meetings is set up, I'll proof the report one last time. And I have three appts out of the house - body work (need it on my neck this time!) and eye check up, and on Friday, getting the hearing aids. So being out of the house some is balanced by some evening extra time.

Genealogy goals for the week:
-deliver research report
-finish case study
-circle back to document work, if I have time and proof it


Yesterday we had a long long boat ride on the Tennessee River Gorge. Some fall color showing but not near peak yet I think. Dfriend V and I went next door to their friends' house to watch game while dh and A got the boat on the trailer and out of the water. We watched the football game there until around 6:30, and headed home. Game tied up when we got home, so I watched to the end. Dh fell asleep. His game was the later FL State/Clemson game and he slept through the first part of it. I went on to bed early...

I added more carrots, onions and potatoes to the soup. Last night dh mentioned that he couldn't find any potatoes in the soup and wanted to know why I didn't put any. I told him they must have broken up /gotten smaller because the soup had been on the stove all day. (I brought it to a full boil at the beginning and then put it at the lowest setting for the rest of the day.) This morning he asked if I had put onions in the soup. I told him they must have blended in with the cabbage. I told him I would add more onion along with more carrots because I wanted more carrots. I only put 2 small ones yesterday and then I ate a lot of them in my soup at supper time. So, more veggies in, I brought the soup up to a boil at the beginning and now it's on the lowest setting again with 3 hours to go until we eat.

The sun is shining out even though it's windy. It's a gorgeous fall day.

Quiet days make it easier to cuop!

Yesterday all three local little grands were here so I was busy almost the whole day (the older two had a tv break while dgs1.5 napped so dh and I had a few minutes to rest.)

I slept 9 hours last night, then had tea and chocolate and finished tidying up this morning. Then I rushed through s2s and made it to church just on time.

Stayed for coffee hour, volunteered to do it in November (and volunteered to sell jams at the Bazaar) and then came home and had breakfast. Dh and I went for a walk.

I'm struggling with walking tip rubber ends. Bought some that wore through in under 12 miles , thought it was my carbide tips poking through because I lean so heavily on them, bought two more then realized they had metal inside and it was the rubber wearing off the outside.

Spent 2 days (off and on) learning more and ended up ordering a lower end Nordic Walking stick and will try that (it should come today.) Today I used my current poles in the Nordic Walking style with the tips that were worn on the bottom. Within a mile, I had worn down the side as well. So it was a noisy and frustrating walk for the next 2 miles. I won't bother putting the tips I bought the other day onto the poles, they are just crap so I'll return them. Unfortunately, for asphalt/concrete walking, even more expensive rubber tips are lucky if they last 2 weeks.

So we're back home and I need to get moving on things here but am exhausted after the walk. I did get to the bank as an errand so that's one item off my incredibly long to-do list.
