What ta da would you like to do? Will it be routines and prep for the holidays? Is it self care or home care that you need?
What ever it is - it is right for you!

Good morning!
I went to bed too late, forgot my melatonin so took it too late (after midnight), and didn't really get to sleep until after 1:30. I did remember to turn off my early alarm and woke up before my 7:30 alarm.
I'm completely garbled at this moment, can't type (letters come out wrong or out of order), can't think (completely overwhelmed), can't get comfortable at my keyboard (my shoulders are hurting and I've only been here just over an hour. I've tried adjusting my chair (the shoulders issue has been going on for over a week) and I didn't make it at all better. At this point, I would trash my very old chair but I don't want to go into the process of trying to buy a new one. That leads to too much distraction.
Off to shower. Hopefully I'll wash away the confusion at the same time.

Panicking.
(((Kathryn)))
We are 4 hours away from the start of Christmas Break!!
I have watched with interest and admiration as several here have been decorating, shopping, wrapping, and baking in anticipation of Christmas. There is always THAT ONE person that is lagging. That person would be me. I haven't done any prep for Christmas yet. Now that Christmas Break is here, I can stop focusing on the two types of schooling. I am hopeful that I can use that time & effort to focus on Christmas prep.

Dh and I are both staying safe inside. The freezing rain started before 8 a.m. and the radio station was mentioning hundreds of accidents in and around the Niagara region. Both large bridges were closed at one point due to icy roads and accidents, but they are both reopen now. Dh brought in 2 loads of fire wood. The power was out in the town to the east of us due to a hydro pole being knocked over. We have power, so therefore we have heat. The outside temperature went from 1 Celcius down to 0 Celcius and then back up to 1 Celcius. Now the rain is still coming down, but no longer freezing.
Supper tonight will be beef ribs. No idea what we are having with the ribs.

Cathy: the storm doesn't hit here until after midnight. But I'm hoping Mr. Dee gets home from the hospital safely.
I just ordered a chair. I did some reading on shoulder pain and ID'd a lot wrong with my set up here. The chair is only part of it, but this chair won't do what I fully need it to do. I changed some settings and it is better and the shoulder pain eased, but it isn't easy to get into the right position and the computer keyboard and monito are not right. I'll start with a good chair and then rework my desk top surface. Getting another desk isn't an option, I'm using dh's father's purpose built (and designed by him) roll top computer desk. Parts I don't use (for instance we don't use a computer CPU tower, we use laptops) and parts are awkward (monitors are larger) but with the roll top, I can hide a lot of paperwork mess by cramming everything onto the desk in a hurry and dropping the lid.
The main issue is currently with a ring light in position and a second monitor on a pile of books to get it closer to the right height, dropping the lid requires dropping the extendible ring light and moving the monitor off the books and further back on the desk so the lid can clear it. Then my wireless keyboard is tucked in and papers piled on top and the lid slowly dropped, hoping it won't get jammed in the shut position!
The chair should be here by Christmas. That isn't why I picked it but it is a bonus.
Now to hit the shower. That was a 90 minute distraction.

Good morning everyone.
((Kathryn))
Back home from routine dentist appointment. I always find it hard to get started on my to do list after I've been out of the house. The last two gifts for dh arrived & I quickly wrapped them since he is out, too. One for his stocking are wooden toast tongs. I know whenever he toasts a bagel because I hear "Ouch, ouch!" several times when he tries to get them out

. Hopefully now that little problem will be solved.
I found these sweet, short videos of popular TV show houses decorated for the holidays in a computer generated format. They are so calming & peaceful & make me smile. If you click on the "Show more" button in the description it will take you to the page of the woman who creates them. She has done many (not just Christmas ones) & they are very cool. These three are all two minutes or less:

Enjoy!

I'm off to cuop as I'm several days behind ...
