I am tired this morning. Was up around 7:30 and have done parts of a.m. routine. I need to finish breakfast and walk the dog a lap and be online around 10 a.m.
COVID test last night was also negative - thinking I just have a cold - but between the class and the cold I am dragging.

Morning….
Twins… hope you get to feeling better today. Take care of yourself.
I just came back from my class. While there I asked if anyone knew the name of the plant outside the door. Turns out one of my friends is a member of the Cape Coral garden club and said it’s known as a Tropical Giant White Lily. We got to talking about plants and she invited me to join the garden club and to become a member. Said the club meets every two weeks and wants me to go with her has her guest. She is a wealth of information and I am excited that she asked me to join.
Meantime I have a bit of work to do around here this morning. Sweetie is making an order for a new printer for his office. Then we have a major project to work one together. I ordered a sliding pot drawer to put inside one of my cabinets. It’s probably a several hour project with includes drilling holes and screwing things into place. Right now I have all my pots, tops and skillets loaded in my laundry basket. I don’t anticipate we’ll get it done, but we shall see.
The lasagna soup turned out great last night with plenty left over for tonight. Think I’ll try to freeze some as well. I’m trying to do at least one new recipe a week just for fun because I feel like I’m in a cooking rut.
The dermatologist just called and as I suspected the spot on the side of my face needs more attention. He wants to freeze it again so I’m ok with that although I’m sure it’s gonna hurt afterwards. It’s not healing very well at the moment. I’m surprised he doesn’t want to cut it out, but maybe because it’s on my face he thinks it will scare less this way.

I'm in class now and I think everyone else was as tired last night as I was. As someone said, the class is like drinking from a firehose at full blast!

Our expected storm has started and it's coming straight from the east.
Leftover spaghetti for supper tonight.
Later...
My car was out in the snow until just after I posted this. Dh had 2 customers this morning which is why my car was out all night. Now it's in the garage thankfully because we are expecting rain after the snow stops.

Ramblin', I'm so glad someone knew the plant. Sounds like there could be new adventures in green thumbs.
Twins', well, at least you didn't come away from the test with yet another worry. Somehow, it's good to know you are out there slogging through educational experiences. Glad it's you and not me in one way (ducking and running), but also sort of wish I was back into work toward a certificate again.
I put up the new crop of broccoli sprouts last evening after having them in the window to green up all day. Started a new batch.
HRH asked me to help him hard-boil some eggs. I don't do it much anymore and he says he turns them into rocks, lol. I went ahead and peeled them for him. He is experimenting with putting various things into flavored rice vinegars. Cucumbers, cabbage, and now on dstepson's recommendation, having eggs with the vinegars.
Each of us had a grandmother who used to keep veggies on the table in vinegar, ready for meals like a condiment. He loves that taste. As for me now, I just like thick dark balsamics on cooked greens, that's about it. Using Due Vittori now, because it's so convenient to pour and maybe because the bottle is pretty, but it has 6 percent acidity, and a 4 percent is tastier on greens.
Ds called and told all about his wonderful 2-night vacation. They had a great time.

Because it is "W jobs" Wednesday, I swept and washed all the floors. I also watered all the plants. The "Christmas" cactus and aloe and snake plants only get watered every 2 weeks, while everything else gets once a week.
There is NO way I am even considering going to W almart today. Lots of accidents being reported on the radio.
It is a PJ day here.
I'm also working on emptying and refilling the dishwasher. Dry laundry is all away. I want to try on all of my pants today. They are all black, but different styles. Three pairs of black sweatpants, I need to reduce the number of those down to one.

I'll take it d twins! Make it our own type of day!
I don't want to waste it!
I am trying the 20/80 rule today: I will work on the 20% that is important - the rest is really is busyness rather than pushing forward. I tend to worry about the 80% rather than focus on my true needs, I want learning, moving ahead in growth rather than fluff and stuff of a busy day.
I want to go to bed feeling content that I took time to enjoy the moment and learn something I always wanted to learn. . I always learn from hard times but I want to learn or do things that I love even if it's 15 minutes a day.
I am up very late as the dogs were up from midnight on. I slept until 10 am but it was sleeping an hour then letting one dog out , sleeping a bit and the other dog needed to go out and then this morning

dd's dog came down just after I fell asleep. oh my goodness.
I am thinking of all of you!!! I hope today is a true blessing of a day.
I am late to getting to Rick, I have to wash him up well and get some pj pants for him. poor thing - it's been a rough time for him. I am going to look at twin beds for him to put in the dining room. I don't want him walking upstairs when it is his time to come home. I want him really steady before he does any stair.
ta ta for now. I wish I could say hello individually! Wishing you a great day!!!

Good afternoon!
Twins, can you cozy yourself up some at the computer?
Rose, how great to find out what your plant is — and to find a garden club! I hope this is the last treatment you will need for your face.
Stay warm, Cathy! We did not get as much snow as expected here, but I think it was a different system — ours came up from the south.
Sounds like Nancy did have a good bit of snow. You stay warm, too!
Harriet, you called my matcha pound cake “sophisticated.” I think someone who can distinguish between vinegar acidities counts as significantly more sophisticated!
Thanks to whomever it was — Kathryn, I think, but I’m on my phone and don’t dare go back and check — gave me some sympathy over Monday’s “adventure.” DC is planning to contact me when they’re ready to come home today, so hopefully, we can avoid my cooling my heels.
Waving at blessed as she passes through, dealing with Important Stuff.
Got stew going in the crockpot, though my feet were hurting, so I got DD to peel the carrots and potatoes and put them in. I should stop sitting and giving my feet a rest, though, or I won’t get my steps in today. Although I should have some lunch, too. Wishing a good day to all of you and all who follow!
