Finishing Friday PWYC

Post by Twins' Mom »

Today I'm finishing this week-long course, next week we're finishing January. What are you finishing, bringing to a conclusion, and wrapping up?

I'm dragging this morning, I need to finish a.m. routine and walk the dog before ten a.m.

Tonight we're going to temple so I'll leave the webinar early. It's scheduled to go to four MST, six EST. Of course, it may not, but temple starts at six. Dh and I will try to go out after, although that's chancy without a big wait. Tomorrow night we going to a restaurant dinner that a friend is having for a former rabbi here. We've stayed somewhat close to him - he married us and named our children. He's fund raising for a non-profit for which he is now rabbinic director. He's retired from the Reform seminary now.

I hope we don't do anything Sunday, tbh. DH had proposed doing something with friends and they're going to a Jewish federation function that we aren't attending.

I need some quiet time! And now....the dog is barking at me again. She's been out this a.m. already to potty, ostensibly, although from my standpoint she failed to take advantage of that time.

I've not kept up here this week. Love to all.

hello d twins. Thank you for starting us!
Hope you gain energy as the day moves forward! I hope your Sunday is beautifully free!
lol so funny about the dog not taking advantage of the time!!! My daughter lives on the 7th floor when she is in Florida and her dog won't go and then suddenly at midnight needs to go out for a walk lol.

have a good day

Good Morning!

I'm thrilled that whatever virus/germ my body was fighting off seems to be over. I had an off 24 hours and now I'm back to feeling normal again with no symptoms.

Yesterday I raised the number of hours from 12 to 14 (the maximum) that I have an hourly step goal. I was consistently meeting the 12 hour step goal so it isn't feeling like much of a challenge anymore. I am also consistently averaging 8K steps a day, so I also raised my daily step goal to 10K. That seems like too big of a goal for me, so I might back it down to 9K steps a day. However, I do enjoy challenging myself so I decided to try for the 10k steps. I am enthused & motivated by goals against my previous records.

I'm taking DH to the city for an ultrasound this morning. He will have to be without food/drink until noon so we will go out to eat as soon as the test is over.

While in the city I need to buy some rabbit food. The kids didn't tell me until late last night that we are out of rabbit food. We found some timothy grass and Alfalfa hay, so the rabbits had something to eat. We had a discussion about when to get another bag of food. Hint - it is not after the 50lb bag is empty!

We will have to manage our time well to make it home by 3pm for appt with the repairman that is working on natural gas fireplace.

Waving with Nancy and feeling the sitting vibe with blessed.

But I really have done things consistently since early. Just nothing for which I give myself credit. Routines (meaning self care - not yet finished with Morning Dailies even) and fielding phone calls. Having to be patient takes time and efficiency wastes away it seems. Need to brighten up, don't I, blessed?.

Organizing - still at (or returning to) the turning-around-and-around paralysis stage as far as my sewing space and some office things needing to find space. Dd43 called saying she's taken my old microwave cart out to the porch there if I want it - doesn't help her and she's already purchased a piece for that spot. I do want it because it gives tall, rolling space. But there will be more Tetris to play as it replaces some less permanent-type storage in this room. I need a sorting surface, lol, but walls are in the way, you know?

Still alive.

Working away on residents association stuff. Progress is being made, I saw the financial statements for the past three years this morning. They need refining but it means they are being finished up. That delegating worked. But I had to tell the new treasurer that I was not accepting any comments from her on the complex's history project because that was not her job and she had no input and the project was almost finished. She wanted me to send her a pdf of the project so far. Uhhhhm, no way. You can see the printed sample for feedback on the price/quality of the final copies but you don't get any say on the contents. It is bad enough this project is 3 years delayed and I'm responsible for 2 of those years. No more fingers into any pots.

Now to go finish up the final draft of the history.

Just getting here…

Went to class, came home and cleaned up and put the door in 50 minutes to set up for the Coffee and Conversation meeting. I make all the coffee and my friend helps putting sugar, napkins and such set out for the people. We usually have better 40-50 people.

The GM of our community usually comes to give us an update on what’s being done around the community. Lots going on due to the hurricane. Then it’s open floor and people can ask questions about what concerns them. After the meeting is over… it usually lasts 1-1 1/2 hours I clean everything up including washing all the coffee pots and containers and put everything back in order in out make shift kitchen

Went to the grocery store afterwards to pick up a few needed thing and came home and put everything away. Just finished eating my lunch…yogurt.. and then will start my laundry. Also want to make my carrot/pineapple bread. Also have a bookshelf to put together if I still have energy.

Hope to go to the new to me farmers market tomorrow. Suppose to be a big one that happens every Saturday. The weather is still cool and I look toward to spending some time outside.

Waving to y’all… need to be n my way :D
