What a long week for so many of us and so many health issues going around the village. Here's to metaphorical blue skies with the sun shining brightly on our lives today - regardless of the IRL weather outside.

On with the day!

I need to straighten for dcleaning lady. Dh went to his Rotary meeting, not sure if he'll go to the office after or come back home. Either way, he's driving again. Hoping for a quiet day here. I have the second session of the webinar from last week tonight at seven-thirty. Sometime today I'd like to go back and look at the video from last week, too.

Progress: the back of the house is straightened up. That's primary bedroom, bath and closet. That leaves the kitchen. Ddog was rousted off the bed so I can wash sheets.

~~~~waving Hello to all~~~~~
I love the way I feel when I get up early (5am) so much that I am willing to make the effort to get to sleep early. Last night felt like the perfect sleep schedule for me. I was asleep at 8pm and up at 5am feeling fully rested and eager to get started on the day. I suspect this sleep schedule would be easier to accomplish if I weren't raising children because I frequently need to be up later due to the kid's activities.
Today the calendar is empty which gives me an opportunity to accomplish some things that have been patiently waiting for some focus.
Today is a virtual school day to meet the state requirements to have 5 days of school instead of 4 days. But virtual school just means DD11 has one paper to do which takes less than 5 minutes. How this can qualify as a school day is beyond my understanding.
Woke up to a bit of snow on the grass, but the roads were clear. Tiny bit of blue sky but mostly overcast.
Dh is taking me out to a Greek restaurant to celebrate Valentine's Day, I think I will stay home from knitting today. I just started another Alex Cross book last night and laying in bed reading sounds very appealing to me.
Chicken leg quarters were on special at a local store this morning, so we got some for tomorrow night's supper and I also got a cabbage with plans to make soup on Sunday.
This is an extra long weekend here because Monday is "Family Day" so the schools decided to make today a Professional Development Day. Dh and I went out early for groceries so we won't have to go anywhere else (hopefully) until Tuesday.
Glad you're better now Nancy.
Dcleaning lady is finishing up downstairs. I took Millie in the yard about an hour ago to potty and was surprised at how cold it it! We played awhile - we're supposed to get her comfortable in the back yard playing and hanging out. We chased a bit and she was "King of the Mountain" then I let her have a small piece of firewood which she started chewing, Yuck! So we walked two laps when I was bundled up better. It's 39 feels like 33. :shock:
Humm, my Fitbit is unpaired again from my phone. It's happened a lot lately.
I saw a very l little sleet of snow spitting when I was out the first time. Almost like misting, except some was more solid.
Here late cause I’ve been busy.
Went to my class, came home, changed clothes and went to my coffee gathering. Came home and then helped Sweetie with some banking business.
I was able to figure out how my cousins and I are related. We share the same 2x great grandparents. Twisted my brain a bit because my cousins were on generation short of me. My great grandmother’ mom was Sarah and my cousins grandmother was named Ada.
Both came from the parents so that made Sarah and Ada sisters. However Sarah was 17 years older than Ada. Also solved the question of how my dad knew my cousins and me were related but couldn’t tell me how. He lived with his grandmother, Minnie, growing up and Ada was her aunt. Sure my dad knew Ada while growing up because Minnie and her Aunt Ada lived close to each other.
I have 4 sunnie sprouts this morning, and I’m excited about that. Today the temp is suppose to be close to 89*. I want to plant the rest of my flowers over the weekend.
Kathryn… I get sores in my mouth due to stress all the time. What helps me is taking an ant-acids when this happens. They need to be stronger than Tums.
Waving to y’all. Nancy. Glad you’re feeling better.
Lucylee… I was going to suggest the same things that Harmony did, especially upping your Paxil. Maybe that needs to be re-evaluated with your dr since you’ve been taking it for so many years. Know my son has to do that as well
Not sure what I’m going to do for the rest of my day besides laundry. Forgot to turn my washer on yesterday!
Stopping for a break with feet up. Checking & updating hourly schedule. Eating 100g of chili that has my taste buds happy.
All the bathrooms are freshly cleaned. I washed one of the walls and baseboards in the living room, cleaned inside & outside of living room window, cleaned 2 windows in the kitchen. When deep cleaning started to feel like work, then I stopped doing it.
Now that the windows are freshly cleaned, I'm eager to hang the curtains used for springtime. I have already selected a quilt that matches the spring color scheme and hung it on the wall quilt rack.
The neighbor dogs got out of their fence and came into our backyard. Thankfully I saw the dogs because they were eager to find a way into the rabbit hutches. I contacted our neighbor and they instantly responded and started making repairs to their fence to keep their dogs in. Note to self....Only a few more days of the fence contractor working and then the new solid fence should prevent their dogs getting into my garden and potentially killing the rabbits.
It is noisy with the fence contractor generator and welder running nonstop. This noise will probably go on for another day or two.
Running through and waving. Good to hear from Dee; glad they got their pictures -- now maybe they can figure something out!
lucylee, do take care of yourself! As others have said, a visit to your regular doc to see if your meds need tweaked is a good place to start. And if Sheldon asks, you can honestly tell him, "I'm just feeling a little off and thought maybe my meds needed adjusting." Of course, this will be easier if you're on something else as well as the Paxil. In my case, I'm on enough that it could be anything! Heck, I've got three "L"s! (Drives me nuts when the pharmacy texts me about my order and only uses initials.)
Glad Nancy is feeling better after a rough start.
Thought my DB was taking my kids to the bank today, but he hasn't heard back from the woman he dropped off his power of attorney with. This is actually a good thing, as I thought he was planning to take them before the paperwork had been through the system, and he would have had the same trouble he's been having. (He's submitted this power of attorney multiple times; hopefully, with this woman at the branch shepherding it, things will finally be able to be settled.)
Need to figure out how early I have to start dinner. DH is going on a campout with the Scouts this weekend. They're leaving this evening, earlier than we normally have our dinner, and they're only planning for a snack this evening. So I need to get DH fed before he goes.
Belated happy birthday to Elizabeth's DD!
Hoping the residents' association mess gets straightened up soon for Kathryn.
