No one's started us out yet? So it's Sunday in the village. Let's go!

It's the Sunday of a long weekend here. Dh doesn't want to go anywhere, but he has asked repeatedly if I want to go anywhere. Yes, I do, but he would most likely say that he will wait for me in the truck. For example, if I wanted to go to Walmart or an antique market or a book store. We actually had this conversation this morning. I told him I would rather stay home than go to these places knowing he was out in the truck. If I want to go, I want to go together.
I decided to "deep" clean the bedroom this morning, moving the bed, which is on wheels. Lots of stuff that wasn't getting sucked up into the vacuum, so I looked at the beater bars.

Crammed with stuff! So I had to go clean that and then get back to the vacuuming. It's very difficult for me to get down onto the floor and to get back up, so I haven't looked under the bed yet. I know that there is 1 of dh's slippers that he doesn't even wear under there. I vacuumed as far under as I could get the vacuum to go. I went and wiped the bottom of my slippers and went back into the bedroom. The floors still sound crunchy (?) under my slippers, so I re-did them all over again and re-wiped my slippers. ... sigh. Better but still not great. I came in here to sit a while, so now I'm going to give the floor one last vacuum, and then I will mop it and call it done. Dh suggested (after the fact) that I should have taken a pic of the beater bars and sent it to our former cleaning lady. I didn't, but neither one of us is happy that she never mentioned that the vacuum wasn't working well... oh, well. She isn't getting a cleaning job from us again.

DH and I have been out to have breakfast at nine with ds. Was good to see him as always and we're at home with the day ahead of us. I'm thinking a nap will be in order. I set an alarm to be up before eight a.m. so I had time to walk dog, get dressed and awake, and wash up. I don't wake up and get ready to go easily.
Our river friends have family in town so we won't see them today. Yesterday was busy IMHO with grocery, then making the dip and a salad and veggies to go with dip. Dh went to Costco with friend and then we were out at friends' last night until past bedtime. He was particularly tired, I think, but hard for him to admit it. He did have a nap after Costco but I woke him to so he could walk the dog before we left. (I had already walked dog two laps earlier and played with her in the yard, and was still packing things up to take.)
----
and a little later...We just agreed to go out for lunch with river friends and son, wife and child visiting. I almost immediately regretted it but whatever.
I've cleaned out my email inbox a bit, and listed stuff for this week. Busy week - somehow I've let events creep back to pre-COVID frequency. This week I have a haircut, body work, two workouts, a vet trip, the dog trainer on Saturday, and on Friday night, seven guests for Shabbat dinner.
A lot of things are closed for tomorrow.

Bedroom is done. I got down on to a pile of pillows and got that darn slipper. There is nothing else under the bed. We can't really store anything under there because the floors are heated. I mopped the bedroom and I also dusted my bedside table. Everything is put away other than dh's pants and a small mountain of laundry. One pair of pants, and then a sweater, another pair of pants and then... KABOOM! Laundry mountain! I will try to get to that today. Right now dh is stretched out and playing on his phone. I think I'll go read.

Well I’ve been busy most all the morning.
Did my morning routines and then worked with my plants. Came in and went through all my dresser drawers and am now in the middle of reorganizing my closet. Came in here to take break and eat some lunch. After I finish with the closet I need to do a short grocery run.
Nancy… I read for several hours yesterday! Then I stayed up late and watched a movie I knew Sweetie wouldn’t want to see. It was almost midnight when I went to bed and had to giggle at myself. It was Saturday night and I felt like I was on a date with myself. Gotta do that again … might even make a habit of it I enjoyed it so much

Home from church and eating lunch.
I heard the statement "faithful isn't something you do; it is something you are" and I can't get it out of my mind. I am wrangling with it like a dog with a fresh bone.
I have a new book that I want to get started on today. It is 100 mini lesson type of book. I want to get the structure set up for me to do one daily lesson for the next 100 days (until May 30th)
The broccoli seeds have already germinated (day 3). I want to get the seedlings separated and planted into individual pots.

I made a huge pot of beef vegetable soup and now it's simmering. Smells good in here.
I still need to clean all 3 litter boxes.
... later
all 3 litter boxes have been thoroughly cleaned and all 3 cats immediately checked them to see if they liked how clean they were. LOL!!
Dh is sleeping. I turned the soup up a bit to make sure the potatoes and carrots get cooked.
Now I am having a hot chocolate because I worked hard today. 2, 043 steps and 10 zone minutes.

We went to lunch with our dfriends and son and family and had a good time, despite my reluctance to go out again. I napped when I got home, until dh woke me up looking for a heating pad. I think he's experiencing some post gallbladder surgery gas. He's napping now, after he woke me up.
Walked ddog two laps. We'll have leftover soup for our supper tonight, assuming I want to eat much at all. On Friday night I made a basic tomato soup and added Italian sausage and oregano and basil. It was good and now we have some for another evening.
