How are you going to march through the day?

There might be very little marching outside here today. It's VERY windy and there are a lot of accidents on the highway.
Dh requested a coffee so he wouldn't have to drive to Tim Hortons. I made him one but he was sleeping. I even woke him up and he responded. I rarely drink coffee, but I added some sugar to his and I'm drinking it.
I really need to conquer the dishes today. I did a load of laundry last night and I even got it put away before I went to bed.
Supper will be something with hamburger in it, because that is what I brought in from the freezer. We will be having a pork roast tomorrow night.
I won't be going to knitting or anywhere else today. FBook already has a bunch of closures getting listed.

We are still without power here. Long dark night! Dh has gone to Torah study but got me coffee from Dunkin’ first. I’m in the back yard enjoying a cup with the dog.

Cathy - Thank you for the clever start today.
((((Group Hug)))) for those who are experiencing extreme weather & loss of electricity.
We are having a few pleasant weather days. I hope this weather pattern spreads and can be enjoyed by all. Our temp today is near 70F, bright sunshine and minimum wind. Tomorrow it will hit 80F but the wind returns to our normal 20 mph.
Yesterday we made a trip to the city to get one of DH prescriptions. I don't know why the pharmacy ordered it early, but I suspect it was caused by applying a 2-year coupon from the manufacture to the prescription. Combining what the insurance pays & coupon the monthly cost went from over $1k a month to us only paying $25 a month. I am thankful for the pharmacist guidance in this.
While we were in the city we did some clothing shopping and pantry restocking. DD11 got several pairs of shorts for the summer, and I brought home 3 styles of pants to try. I will be returning the pants but now I have a clue what style/size to order online. We bought a little over $300 of pantry restocking items. Food seems to evaporate around here.
DS14 will be traveling with a youth group to the big city this afternoon to attend a concert tonight. DD11 went to a concert last year and found out it is NOT her activity of choice. The crowds, LOUD music and strobing lights had an extremely negative effect on her. She is choosing not to attend this time.

I used to love going to concerts. Now it's close to the furthest thing in my mind. Crowds, noise... ugh.
I didn't have to wash any of the floors this morning, but I just did. It's become part of my routine.
A local winery owner, who happens to be one of our customers plowed out our driveway this morning. Dh went out to talk to him and he wouldn't be told "No!" It's a heavy snow and it doesn't look like much, but it's the weight that would do somebody harm if they tried to shovel too much of it.
Dh has requested hamburger helper with onions in it for supper.

Nap time!
The day is going but dgs has got more and more whiny and clinging as the day progressed. He's happy to go down for sleep, I think in the hope that when he gets up his parents will be here. Wait until dh goes away on Monday! I am not counting on a moment to myself from that point onwards. It would not surprise me if I end up sleeping with a toddler in my bed. I let him watch a Paw Patrol and he watched it pressed up between my legs. It entertained him but he wasn't about to let me out reach while he was distracted by it!
Kitchen is reset from breakfast and lunch. So nap time.
It is still snowing here. No idea of the accumulation since the government website doesn't post that until the following day. I'm hearing from the radio is it 6 inches and watching the snow plows in the parking lot, that seems about right.

Feet up while taking a break.
I've transplanted 2 asparagus plants that were self-seeded & grew in the wrong beds last year. I had 2 empty spots in the asparagus bed so that worked out well. It took a year of patiently waiting for the right time to transplant them but now the asparagus bed should be good to go for a couple of decades.
I have been brainstorming what to use as outdoor raised bed markers that will last a long time. I want a way to visually see a reminder of everything that is planted in each bed. I already have individual plant markers but I'm wanting group markers to show everything planted in each bed. . The plants will change each year, so it has to be adaptable, weather resistant and easily read. I have ruled out several ideas. It appears I know what I DON'T want, but I haven't come upon and idea that will fit all my requirements...yet. Hum....still brainstorming
I'm making homemade individual pizzas for lunch. Everyone can choose their own toppings.

I couldn't get everyone into the kitchen while I was assembling the pizzas, so I made a command decision about the ingredients. I made 5 pizza. The first pizza only had sauce and cheese. Then each following pizza I added an additional ingredient. The last pizza had sauce, cheese, hamburger meat, onions, bell peppers and jalapeno peppers. I cooked them assembly style with two pizzas in the oven while I was assembling the next pizza... I'm pleased how they came out and there is pizza leftover which I consider a bonus.
I have an idea for the raised bed group plant markers. I haven't tried it yet, but I plan to asap. If it works as I hope it will also be a visual reminder of which plants are tall (important to know where shadows will be for companion plant placement).
DS14 has left for the concert outing. The house will be quiet the rest of the day/night. DD11 does tend to talk a lot but she also prefers calm and quiet activities.

Dh and I had to send our lawyer a complete list of his aunt and uncle's full names with birth and death dates. Thank goodness my SIL found the info on an cestry dot com. Now that has been sent to lawyer, I think we can relax about something that we have been dealing with since his uncle died without a will. (He was EXTREMELY cheap, as I found out going through his paperwork.) What a headache to not have a will to help your family deal with end of life stuff.
Supper is also cooking.
With the sun being out and the temps above 0 Celcius, we have a LOT of water in our backyard, so we have decided to call "that" truck on Monday so maybe I can do some dishes. I;m getting sick of listening to the pipes gurgling and the toilet not flushing fully. Yuck!
Other than that, I also dealt with texting back and forth with SIL and dh's only cousin on his dad's side. There are no children other than my dd, so that family will have no decendants after dh and his sister and cousin are gone. My dd and my sister's son don't have children (both by choice), so that branch will also be done.
