I'll think positively.

Smiling is still something I enjoy but can't share due to masking on my part. I was thinking about how much happier I was on the last day with dgs when I could see his smiles cuz he was well enough that he didn't need his soother 24/7 (he literally took it out with one hand and held and would put a piece of food into his mouth, and then return it to his mouth during the 3 days he was sickest.) That made me realize why many people react negatively when I'm still wearing a mask. It is missing the smile.

Where will you plant smiles today? Where will you harvest them?

I'm working towards getting to church today. Dh can be left for hours, he's tired enough that he won't get into too much trouble. During the party yesterday he showed up for about 20 minutes and then went upstairs and napped. Ds had to go up to the apartment for a knife to cut the cake and he reported dh was fast asleep in the recliner.

The party went well. Speaking of masks, I was masked for all the setup (not necessary cuz it was just ds and family) and then when dh was there, I noted he had taken his mask off, so I took off mine since I'm basically masking to protect him at this point. That meant I could eat, which was good because I had missed breakfast and it was almost 2 in the afternoon.

Dgs made it through his party without any nap that day. There had been a change in plans and instead of arriving at 10, they arrived at 11:40, too late to try and put him down for a nap. The three adults (and then a neighbour who joined us) worked on setting up the room. We were ready for 1:10 and the guests were to arrive at 1 but didn't start showing up until later. The room looked great.

When it was over, I brought up TG's parents and sister to see our apartment (and have them help carry stuff up) and then they had a little visit with dh before heading on their way.

It worked out well renting the room.

Dh and I were to go for a walk outside after but the sunshine and warmth gave way to snow so we walked the hall again. In the morning he only managed 6.5 minutes, in the afternoon (after a 2 hour nap) he managed 7.5 minutes. So that was better. Today I was hoping to walk outside but it is miserable again. It seems the nice days/times we are tied down with responsibilities and when we have the time for a walk, outside is inhospitable. It is sunny now, so maybe the winds (quite high) will calm down by the afternoon.

We had leftovers from the freezer for dinner and then I called dgs6 and read to him for a while. He has had a miserable March Break. Both parents have been sick so all he's done for his 5 days off school was binge watch TV. They have literally watched everything that dd approves of on Netflix and so she had to 'waste' a free trial on another service in order to get them more content to watch. I'm heartbroken but I was too sick (so was he) at the beginning of the week to do anything with him and then I had dh. These are children who normally only get 30 minutes of screen time a day, so they are sick of TV.

This afternoon, after nap time here, we'll take the party treat bags over and go for a walk with them outside if it is fit to be out. Otherwise, I'll let dh wait in the car (or maybe masked in their house of germs) while I play with the kids in the back yard. (I can't take them away, dh has to ride in the back seat so I don't have room for more than one in the car and my car seats aren't installed right now.)

I need to walk dh now and then get ready for church.

The sun is shining here, which is nice. I haven't put my glasses on yet, so I haven't looked outside to see what the wind is like or how much snow we may have gotten overnight. It was snowing when I went to bed, and I went to bed early.

Good morning, new friends. I have had a busy busy weekend, but I do want to post that I am keeping up with a few things! My room is coming together, and I've been doing FL missions daily, which for some reason I really like. Today will be my last day in the bathroom, and my mission is to wipe and declutter the remaining shelf in the medicine cabinet.

It's amazing to have done this dreaded, hateful job in 5-10 minute chunks! I put it off for YEARS, it was gross!

Lunch — done — chicken fingers and fruit tray was well received by lady managing the kitchen. Chicken wasn’t well eaten, but there were several meats.
Piano — almost done

Dh sick again. Gout pain in his RIBS this time.

Taking a break….

Moved entertainment center and rug in the living area. Rearranged all the furniture. Vacuumed the house, mopped the floors and am washing all the throw rugs.

Still have things I want to do but need to wait until my floors are dry. Have a few areas that need my quick vacuum that my other one, plus my mop didn’t pick up.

It is cool out and all my sliding glass doors are open wide. Helps to dry the doors and of course air out the house. Had to move furniture in my master bedroom because I brought some house plants in and they had gnats. Sprayed them but my window sills had a bunch of dead ones on them so took care of that too.

Still need to dust and clean the bathrooms sinks and counter tops …won’t take but a few minutes to do those.

Tuesday we are having our Lania cleaned and sealed. We have a few pavers that are sinking and they are going to be fixed as well. That means Sweetie and I need to empty the entire Lania tomorrow and put all of it outside.

I was up early enough to go to the middle church service. I had enough time this morning to order a couple supplements I take online before I left, so glad to have that done. The middle service is the most attended, and I hoped having 3 services now instead of 2 would ease that a little bit. I think it did, just enough to make enough seats. Looked like the first really early service had about half the people and a lot of them came from that middle service I'm sure. If I could get up early enough I'd go to the earlier one and I wouldn't feel crowded and the parking lot would be easier to manage.

Stopped at pharmacy and got DH's last Rx which the drs. office finally ordered for us. Picked up fresh milk too.

Morning chores done around noon. DWash emptied and drainer emptied, stuff like that.

There is much I could be doing. If I wanted. I did gather the garbage and got that out for tomorrow's early pickup.

There are leftovers from yesterday to eat, so I don't have to cook. Nothing else urgent today. It's grey skies overhead and was 57° this morning and it is a misty rain right now. It looks dreary but I'm happy to see the rain.

Spent in an inordinate amount of time making a reservation for dh to fly home April 1st. Finally got it done, though I was really hating to do it! Timewise it'll work out well as he flies out of Tampa at 3:55pm (gets into Rochester at 6:40pm). DD has a game -her fun job- that evening so she'll be able to drop him off and hopefully see that he has wheelchair assistance and still have way more time than she'll need to get to the arena. She needs to have him there by 2 and she usually doesn't leave here until around 3:15. Had to call S West after I finished as I never found a spot to list that he needed handicap assistance. Also asked rep about taking a walker and she told me how to do that. He won't need it at the airport but will once he gets up there I'm sure. Think we'll send the rolling walker as that will probably be the most useful for him at the campground. Unfortunately the fare was $132 more than when I was looking a few days ago. Oh well, it's only $$.

I enjoyed coming here to CUOP. So many things happening in the SHE village!

I went to the early service this morning by myself because I was taking care of the nursery. I am so glad that I went to an early service because one of my favorite nephews & family was there. What a joy to see them! DH and the kids came to church for small group and stayed for later contemporary service.

I made cheeseburgers for lunch to go with an abundance of leftovers.

DD11 phone quit charging so I troubleshooted it and got it fixed.

We have bright sunshine today, so I have spent most of my afternoon outside in the garden. I have planted more cauliflower and Brussel sprouts. I checked on the asparagus but didn't see any new sprouts ready to harvest. I recruited DS14 to help me move the 3 rabbit cages to a grassy area inside the new fence but outside of the garden. I have kept the fire pit burning to make a small dent in the stack of wood. I started the process to rake all the area that is near the fence construction. The contractor was good at picking up pieces of metal, but I want to be double sure before I take the mower through that area for the first time.
