Found out the hard way that if the kitten gets out, she will (eventually) come home. Dh and I were outside calling her and shaking the treat container for close to an hour. We both came in and then I heard meowing outside, so I went to check and when I opened the door, she came in like she owned the place. The other 2 cats are still outside.
Dh wants pasta again tonight. We ended up having hamburger helper last night because dh said something about not wanting soup and I had some ground meat thawing. Apparently he is craving salmon casserole.
It's overcast here again today. I kept 1 window in each room open a crack last night. This house needed some fresh air inside.

Home from delivering DD11 to school. There are only 48 more days of school until summer break.
There are 13 things on the calendar for today but all of them are school related. DD11 has book summary due. DD11 has 10am appt with speech therapist. DS14 has 11 homeschool assignments. Nothing extra is on the calendar for today.
We are having already prepared food today (aka leftovers).

I am excited to read
Making Peace with IMPERFECTION By Elliot D, Cohen
I got it used not sure where but I was looking through it and after the first 1/4th of the book are steps to take for each type of prob.
so I am going to try to read a page or two a day. Some new great new habits would be good!
It is raining here this morning, part of the reason I worked so hard on the yard yesterday was I saw the forecast in the afternoon & decided
I needed to get back out there and finish up on a couple of things.
Was talking with my sdsis and some of the things lh & I did was good to remember.
Dd called as well we talked briefly.
xsil is moving to his new place they are building and dgd & s will have a good place to live a mile from here as the crow flies!
I slept well.
I have food for today and a plan.
Qt & journal*
Spiff kit*
Rinse off Jeep *
36* out br-r errands will have to wait!
Warming up now.
Got step count to where it should be for this part of my day.
-----
Mexicana is music on I closed the curtain pretending it is warmer! LOL
Read a bit.
Misplaced keys took time to track them down.
Unexpected blessing.
Goodnews was in that process found a journal I thrifted and had slid in the pocket of the door of the truck.
It is my writing day.
Overview of the book is a lot of 123 plus two more steps with each so I can develop some of those that work for me.
Made my lunch & cocoa found a packet in my purse when I cleaned it another unexpected blessing today.

Nancy - I looked up that book and it looks like one that I would like to read. Thanks for sharing about it.
I am finishing up my 4th hour of today. Each hour has been spent doing things that I planned plus extra things that I was eager to do, so I consider them a success. I did personal AM tasks, kitchen AM tasks, made improvements in 3 rooms, did 3 exercises, made smoothie & drank it, did Bible study, homeschool with DS14, and push mowed the 2nd back yard.
My plans for 5th hour are -
** 250+ steps
** Incline pushups
** Janes 1:5-6
** improvement to kitchen
** Spanish lesson
** electrolytes
** Raised bed #4

My day started with taking Sweetie for his blood work. It was the fasts in and out I’ve ever experienced. Figured we’d be there for an hour and we were there for only 15 minutes.
Came home, at breakfast and watched some tv with Sweetie then went out to build a row tunnel for my sunnies. The birds have long beaks and even with my netting they still can get through. A “cage” was made with two long tubes that sit together and inserted in each pot. I made an X with them and then covered each one with netting.
I had to remeasure and cut a 13 foot by 13 foot piece of netting into 6x6 feet pieces. The netting is not easy to measure but I got it done. Sweetie tried his best to help but towards the end I could tell he couldn’t understand what to do. I told him to go in, make lunch and rest. I worked for a while by myself and just came in for lunch.
After my break I need to start my laundry. The guys are still working on my Lania and I had to remove my plants to the outside. They don’t tolerate strong sun and this is taking longer than I thought so I took one of my sheets, draped it over a few chairs and made shade for them
Waving to y’all!!!

Did some writing.
I have been outside and did 20-30 m in. weeding and edging the front & by the drive way it looks better.
This is next to the 90 yo. neighbors roses a gal cleaned up yesterday and some more to be done was on my side.
Glad it had rained and was easy digging.

Tiny bit of cough sinus stuff and the yard work helped to clear that out! Win win!

When I left for the knitting group it was pouring rain here. My wipers were going at full speed when I was on the highway. Plus it was foggy out.
When I got home, it was still overcast, but the rain had stopped and the fog was gone. It was actually nice enough to sit on the patio while we visited with a friend/customer that we hadn't seen in a while.
I've washed the pasta pot again, and I've got water on to boil for the pasta shells.

Not really getting any new knowledge here... but I am going to look for that book, Nancy. Sounds like something I really need to read. Just last night at Bible Study, we were talking about this -- myself, particularly -- how I have such high expectations for myself (and others, such as ds, etc.) and I want to be the perfect wife, mother, Christian, etc, and that is just not possible.
Today has gone pretty well so far, except dh is having so much pain in his foot. He is leaving off his iron pill and refusing to take the gout medicine, because he is afraid either one or both of them are causing some of the stomach pain & heartburn he has been having. We know iron pills can cause constipation, which is a problem for him, and he knows the gout medicine causes the other bathroom problem (diarrhea) so... with three ballgames this weekend, and him having to get dgs to 2 practices... we are stretched pretty thin.
I do have ta-das, however --
* we both got our hair cut
* I've done a load of laundry
* I s/s our bathroom & his shower
Just about time to take dgd to her game. DGS and DH have already left.
Hope you all have a good evening!

Today's blood draw was quick for us too. Just over an hour round trip. I parked at a mall and picked up milk and OJ and a bag of chips.
I feel sick now because I ate the whole bag of chips myself.
Plus I'm upset over dh (check J&C.)
He won't mask around me. I finally yelled at him. If I'm out of the bedroom he comes to the room I'm in and then takes his mask off as if it is OK. It isn't. It isn't just my breath, my hands are a source of contamination and I hate the thought of him following me around before I can wipe down surfaces. He just doesn't care. At this point I'm inconsolable and doubt I'll ever feel well again and that he'll ever be well again.
