No inspiration from this corner of the village today.
But the village is open.

I'm blinded here by the sun streaming in. There's an advantage to sleeping in later.
And I'm sweating because of the sun and the fact that my windows have no UV filters. Can't open the window though, it is too cold outside and the room would cool off too fast.
As you can see, I woke up grumpy. Still waiting on dh's test but I'm too lazy to put on a mask and go see what the result is.

(((Kathryn))) Grump away. You are among SHE friends. You are juggling a lot of health issues that affect each other. Today is your last day of isolation and Ken's tests. The winter storm isn't making it easier.
DD11 has woke herself up for 3 days in a row. Being in charge of waking herself up is a new habit she decided to start at her last counselor appt. She sets 5 alarms 1 minute apart so she can procrastinate. This would make me crazy to do that but whatever works is a success in my books.
I'm marking off the hourly tasks as I complete them. This method keeps me moving forward accomplishing things that I want to do without stress.

LOL, Kathryn, I actually woke up and was posting that dawn has broken, the day is sunny and beautiful, and spring is here! Positive vibes all around, but I completely understand how you feel.
No blow out or argument last night. I kept it all together and even took a little pride in what I've gotten done. Now if I could just get things back together.
We had a rough evening nonetheless because a smoke detector in our bedroom started chirping. Dh changed battery and it should have been happy with that that, but continued chirping at seemingly random intervals. I ended up upstairs and didn't sleep until past 11:30. Dog was terrified of sound and shaking and went upstairs with me. And it was cold upstairs (heat and a/c was off) and I didn't want to get up.
Later....just walked the dog two laps and dh is gone to work, thank goodness. He's on my last nerve this a.m., despite my chirpy mood. (See what I did there?) Workers are here, finishing today, and have festive music going so I really should conga around here.
LadyM, a life skill for dd! That is great. I still struggle with getting up and hit the snooze button.
Yes, grump away, Kathryn. So many health concerns at your house and it's been a long haul with waiting around for surgery, then dgs duty and now Ken duty and COVID and him sick too.

Dh's test was negative so off to the blood tests we go.
It is a beautiful, sunny, day here but really cold. Cold enough that I'll put my winter coat on instead of my lighter rain coat (which I've worn almost all winter anyway because it is warm enough to wear, with layers, down to 25*F.) I just have to remember to move my wallet into the other coat or back to my purse.
I'll go for a walk at the farm while dh is being tested. I've s2s and my hair should be dry enough by the time I get to the farm to be outside.

Morning…
Back from class and just finishing my breakfast. My new instructor worked my hinny off and I’m sure I’m gonna feel it tomorrow.
I have tons to do today because I had a killer migraine yesterday. Binge watch a new show on Netflix … the Night agent with Sweetie for most of the day and then spent time listening to Whale songs and Alfa wave music.
I have…
Laundry
Water sunnies
Pick up footprints
Do dishes
Straighten up kitchen
Make my bed
Open Amazon packages and put stuff away
Package steaks, chicken and fish I bought from Sams so I can freeze them
Get my steps in
Poof…

I'm not feeling very motivated today. Laundry room, hall to garage and primary bedroom/bathroom are basically blocked off with painters and equip. And next door we're getting a show too - the neighbors two pine trees were leaning so after last Friday's storm that they're coming down today. Guy is up in the tree cutting and dog and I are amazed. (I actually gave dog a sedative. Between painters and the tree guys she's pretty wound up and I don't have the patience today to listen to constant barking.)
I could go around to the garage and enter that way and probably find dusting/cleaning things. I need an envelope to mail an application for verification of death facts and can't get to those.
To the garage it is and I'll see what I can do. I had so much energy at the beginning of this week to do other things, and it's been sapped by the need to get things ready for painters and now overwhelmed at getting it back together.
-------
Whoops, didn't get this posted earlier 'cause I didn't check to see if anyone else had been through.
I have the powder room back together. Once dcleaning lady does the floor it will be good. If I need her to do other things tomorrow, I'll do the floor.
The painters have left for lunch/break. He has another job going with two more there, and only one guy with him today. I need to get the vacuum cleaner out and vacuum/dust where the pulled the head of the bed out. OTOH, I just want to sit here, because the house is quiet right now. The show is over in the back yards too, the two trees are down and tree people are gone.

Good morning. Beautiful blue sky here. I had a rough night. Had a real hard time getting to sleep, tried several different places to sleep, couldn't get comfortable. I think I was mindful that recently my left hip has been hurting a lot when I get up, and I was trying to not lay in such a way to activate that pain. I did feel better today, so I don't know why it's been hurting. Old age I guess.
DH was up and down all night so I was mindful of that, and I got up a couple times to check on him. He says his knee is a bit better but he still can't walk without his rollator.
Going to do the rest of my quarterly reports now. Not a lot of goals for today, dinner planned and a LOL, that's about it. Daily chores are done.

Nancy: I'm not negative. I time out of being isolated from dh tomorrow morning so I stopped testing since there's no point wasting the tests. I tried getting more while out today. No luck. So we are down to 10.
I am thrilled dh tested negative today, though. That's post nasal drip had me concerned.
He's got a bit more energy today which is good.
It was a long line at blood draw so I got in a walk (only 15 minutes because of the bitter cold wind) and then some grocery shopping. Diet Dr. Pepper is currently on the Not Available list. I've tried 6 grocery stores now for some, in any form.
