Passover begins tonight - and my family will be together (me and dh, ds and dd) with dfriends.

I hope Easter planning is going well - however you celebrate! Muslims are also observing Ramadan now. I saw a Pillsbury Doughboy meme yesterday for the three - it's linked to my Dropbox. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ulf36d5393zy8 ... n.jpg?dl=0 (He is risen, he is not, he is off limits until sundown.)

Have a wonderful time with your family Twins! Thank you for opening the village today!

We are expecting a very warm day here, but there is rain with thunder and lightning in the forecast as well as high winds. I will go shopping later and enjoy the warmth.

There are clean dishes to put away from the dishwasher. There are also clean clothes to take out of the dryer and put away.

I will see about supper when I'm getting groceries. I'm really in the mood for ham or a cottage roll or something like that.

I cannot believe that the washer guy has already been here and is gone. Washer is leveled, he says hoses in back are okay and don't need to be replaced, and I need a part that has to be ordered (he says it's a top seller, an indication that it breaks a lot.) Since leak is minor I can use it for now, and should only take two or three days to get the part. So that is done.

I need breakfast, then need to s2s and get busy. I didn't think I could manage to get a shower in before eight a.m. honestly.

I'll meet dd's flight at 2:46 and we should be at dfriends' at six p.m. Since I'm making a brisket for Friday night, I should take it out to thaw today. It's seven lbs, including the layer of fat on the underside. I still need to get the guest room made up.

Texted with dd - she's boarding in Newark!

Twins: I love that meme!

It is a dull day here and the ice storm has started in earnest.

I need to s2s in case the power goes out (I'll still have hot water but the bathroom would be dark!)

Then I need to plan ahead. I'll boil a kettle of water so I can have tea or soup later. I now have a tiny little 'stove' that cooks using a solid fuel container. So I'll be able to heat food. Lights are fine, I have candles and flashlights. Heat will hold. So, in a power outage, I'll be ok. Not great, but OK.

Good morning!

Twins - I hope you, family and friends have an enjoyable time together.

Cathy - I'm glad you mentioned ham. I need to get one out of the freezer to start thawing for this weekend.

Harriet - I hope you share about your new flowers and plans for them.

I am in hour #3 of my day and it is going smoothly. Hourly tasks are being marked complete at a good pace.

I woke up several times during the night because I was in pain. That is rare for me. I am not sure what the cause is, but I have my suspicions it is caused by sitting for hours in an uncomfortable chair at dealership and/or eating mostly high carb foods yesterday. If one (or both) of these are the cause, then the ache & pain should resolve itself as I return to my normal activities. I just now realized that I could have taken an otc pain med and made the pain go away so I could have slept better. I so rarely take pain meds that it doesn't even occur to me to do that.

I'm cooking for 125 people tonight. Super simple meal that I've done several times. I usually prepare the chili the day before but yesterday was too full to get that done. I will make the chili this morning and let it simmer all day.

FACT: If it isn't written down then there is a high probability that I will forget. I just remembered that last week I was supposed to pick up a couple of shirts I ordered to support a fund raiser. The shirts have been sitting on DFriends front porch for days waiting for me to get them.

I need to walk the dog a lap. Then I'll do guest bedroom. Why is that so hard for me to do?

I am questioning my sight & sanity. I have given away one of the dining room tables & 4 chairs. They are going to pick them up this morning. I moved the table and 3 chairs close to the front door so they will be easy to load. My problem is I can't find the fourth chair! I searched every room of the house over and over and over...stopped and then repeatedly searched again. This is not a small chair. WHAT did I do with it?? It is part of a matched set so I know I wouldn't have given it away. How can I lose a chair???? Have I gone crazy? Am I blind? I have enlisted DH help in finding the chair. He has walked through the house twice and can't find it.

I have to keep my primary focus on cooking for tonight.

Homeschool is in progress.

------later-----
It is 11am here and the chili is made for tonight's meal. I will let it simmer for a couple hours then check & adjust the flavor.

I still haven't found the missing chair. I should do a chair inventory. I suspect there are 30-40 chairs in the house.

LadyM is playing musical chairs this morning, although the chair taken away is indeed missing. Out in the garage? Or the shed where you keep those cats? None of the bedrooms? Or closets? This is the sort of thing that drives me crazy. I hope you find it!

I've been most of the morning working on this computer. DH has always been awful on this computer. This time I couldn't find a way to fix. Finally, after several hours I found a work-around for his email. Password from before is saved. Neither of us know what it is. Then his FB did the same and we reset all that. I have a password book to write stuff down. He doesn't seem able to do that any more. He seems to have lost that comprehension. :( I made a page for him and showed him. For him to stay in touch with the world this way is very important to him and he doesn't want to give it up. They don't make really simple computer programs for people who can't manage well. It's a shame. I went through his email and cleaned them out. I don't know how he does it but he gets subscribed to all sorts of email newsletters. I keep unsubscribing, others keep showing up. He doesn't know what he's doing to initiate that.

Anyway, he wanted help at 6:00 this morning and I was sound asleep. I couldn't get back to sleep then. So I've had only a few hours sleep.

Wondering how blessed is doing.

CI ~ I am okay. Taking a bit of a time out to rest my arm and shoulder before turning the tables on that one I am painting to do the bottom of the drop leaves. I have been catching up on journals. Did some art and inked in the pencil as I was still working on tweaks on a few of the pages. I have decided to add my regulars lists in this one with some art. Makes is more fun to look back on with art and the lists are great for review.

I've had qt & breakfast. Bs was up so had to wait to eat.
Still sipping on cold coffee.
It was frosty outside.

I am thinking that I have 4 tables here and as many desks furniture inventory might be something for me to consider.
The packed up the rest of the stuff from the estate sale and hauled off that and their tables in a trailer and two pickups.
It took them a month to sort purge plan and do that sale.

I am thinking how much yardage it will need for the small drop leaf table.
Last color of paint is next. But I am not in paint clothes yet.
Dishes are current.
Lawns are being mowed here these days.
I slept well last night.

Waving to everyone hoping you all have a great day.
Squirrels are scampering up and down the tree out front this morning.
