Easter is here! Sunrise services, worship and praise,
Easter baskets and egg hunts.
And Passover continues with its unleavened bread.
What's going on with your family today?

Thank you Harriet (and Twins) for opening us today!
I'm part dressed and actually managed to get clear nail polish on (to set while having tea and chocolate.)
I put on my slimmer pantyhose and slip and sat down. Immediately I got up and struggled out of the slip. That's not happening, my abdomen had immediate discomfort. Panty hose seem ok because their upper band is on my rib cage. That settles which dress I'll wear.
Aside from church this morning, the day is an open slate. Lots to do (I have a list on the go) but no special meals planned or visiting planned.

Another night of weird dreams. One of which was taking an armload of loose knitting needles to a thrift store. Then I went into the store. They had Pyrex bowls piled high to the ceiling and thousands of knitting needles. I think I've been reading too many FBook pages about decluttering and donating.
I've vacuumed the pantry and the black mat at the back door. Lots of grit on both.
Dh and I exchanged cards and chocolate. It's a gorgeous sunny day here. Very little wind.
I've got a load of laundry going. It's a small load. Dh wanted to burn stuff, but I have less than a full bag, so he said we could wait, although I know he has 4 large cardboard boxes that used to have tire rims in them. He wants to burn those.
Trying to not mop the floors today, just for a change of pace.
Scalloped potatoes and ham for supper just for the 2 of us.

I just put on my $1,900 custom tailored blazer from Hong Kong.
No effing pockets for a handkerchief unless I choose not to carry my cell phone. No patch pockets as requested (I think I knew that.) Only ONE inside pocket that barely holds my cell phone (it is sticking out by 2") and no pocket on the opposite side so I could put in any weight there to balance the jacket to it pulls to the left so my right sleeve is 2" shorter than the left sleeve. All because of MEN who refuse, even when selling a custom jacket, to supply the requested pockets.
The pocket that fits my cell phone is so tight, the handkerchief cannot go in it.
Please note the pockets were specifically requested in order to hold the transmitter for my mic when I'm preaching. The pocket is too small for that. Men, of course, get the choice of putting the transmitter in their inside pocket or attach it to their belt. My preaching dressing do not have belts. And now my preaching blazer doesn't have a place to hold it the transmitter either.
I hated the whole process, dh insisted I get the jacket. The fact that I've wasted $1900 makes me sick to my stomach and now I'm so upset I don't want to even go to church. I'm literally sick from this.

Happy Easter Morning to all that celebrate!
Geesh, just as I started posting Sweetie said he has ants covering his cereal box! Thankfully they had t found their way in. However the box is kept on the top shelf of the pantry, so I immediately start emptying that side so I could follow the ant trail. I wanted to see where they were coming in from.
Fortunately most all my food products are kept sealed so the ants had t found a way into them. Once everything was emptied ….it’s all on my island…I found where the ants were coming in. I vacuumed the pantry floor and sprayed the area and the wall with insect spray. I also placed an ant bait at their entry way. We’ll call our pest control guy in the morning.
Forgot everything I wanted to say except I love thinking about Kathryn’s unusual places
She find to do her stretches and Harriet's joke made me laugh.
Cathy I like your new attitude… good for you!
Harriet we think a like. I gave my grand daughter a garden starter box for her birthday this week. It enclosed 3 pots which she can paint and decorate, compacted dirt, and three types of flower seeds to grow.
We are going to our sons this afternoon for Easter fun and dinner. My son sent me a wonderful text after we spent the afternoon at his home celebrating my dgd’s birthday telling me how much it meant to him to have us in his life to share these moments.
Doesn’t get any better than that!
Enjoy your day

Not sure what the afternoon holds. We're hanging out here this a.m. and need to have dd at airport at noon for her 1 p.m. flight. It's a small airport here.
I'm not much in the mood for people yet but suspect we'll spend some time at the river today too.

Marie Kondo would say the jacket is not bringing you joy, Kathryn. That jacket needs more to its identity - transformation of how you think about it. Brainstorming - use the jacket as an object lesson for a children's sermon and find something universal to learn from it. Take it to a local seamstress and ask her to put in a reasonably-matched inside pocket for balancing (compliment her profusely, give her a positive online rating). Sew in your own inside patch pocket the simplest way, using a funny bright fabric that makes you smile (taking every opportunity to show it off)? Use a happy character fabric, maybe, or let your grandchildren pick.
Cathy, I can tell you have thoroughly enjoyed the curling events. Best wishes on the competition for the gold.
lucylee, is your dmother still in the hospital? Is there an explanation for the bleeding? You must have been exhausted with all that. (Whoops, now I see you were only considering the ER. If you avoided it completely, that's a win for sure.)
We've enjoyed dd24 being around this a.m.
HRH baked peanut butter cookies randomly. He saw a youtube video. They puffed up tall and he didn't like that, so he used a fork to press down and of course that needs to be done before baking, lol. Rookie mistake from an experienced baker. He was amused at himself. Dd says the aroma makes the house smell great and they certainly taste good.
Nearly time to watch church service.

Laundry is done and put away.
I've boiled some eggs.
Working in the kitchen. Dishwasher is loaded and ready to go.
Dh has turned the music on an it's loud. They are playing some songs we haven't heard in so long. Elvis Costelllo, Elton John, etc.
Dh just came and asked to go out for breakfast. I reminded him that the restaurants would be full of sugared up kids, so he is going to take himself to Wendy's. I told him I wanted some boiled eggs which I just cooked.
