I have been putting off washing sheets so I got them in the washer.
I put off picking up seeds weeds & branches that I'd cut pulled and collected got them put where they go and put away the wagon and
my wheel burrow yea for that!
Tossed some trash on the counter.

I have walked the ddog.
Journaling *
Some planning done.
Bujo still to do.

I need to set up my journal for June.

I got up really early because the house inspector was coming. I had time to work on 2 last rooms, well 3 actually. Wiping a bit and tidying a bit so as I went around with this really nice fellow I wasn't embarrassed about anything. We might not be fancy, but we are neat and mostly clean. He had his wife along who was inputting information into a program on something electronic as they went around. I pulled the car out so he could go up in the "attic" to look at things. Then because the air handler part of our a/c system is above the shop we had to drop those ladder/stairs down. I forgot exactly how we do that (it's on a pulley system) and we began using the wrong pulley rope which lowered the truck tires DH has hanging... and we quickly saw our mistake and then I remembered how to do it. I don't mess with those pulley and rope system by myself, DH is always there.

I had myself very apprehensive about this inspection, mostly because this house went through that hurricane and took a beating, and I have never seen the roof up close, especially after we repaired the couple spots after that storm. The guy actually went up onto the roof and took pictures. The good news is that he said our roof has about 10 more years of life left in it. Yippee! That's the best news I've heard in a long time. I wish the insurance companies would recognize that and not be asking us to change it.

So, everything is tidy, dailies are done and I am free for the rest of the day. I've even done my QT already.

Harmony & Nancy - Thank you for opening the SHE village this morning. You both posted almost at the same time!

I had two times getting up during the night with DS14. He wanted to talk at 10:30pm and then later he woke me up again a little after midnight when he discovered a tick that needed to be removed. He has called me twice this morning from work. One of the times was to tell me that he pulled the chain saw cord to start it and the cord came completely out. Another call was to discuss his daily drink fund. Sometimes I find myself frustrated with his constant need for interaction, but I remind myself that this is a short phase of life. In 3-4 more years, he will be self-sufficient and independent.

Yesterday we kicked off the start of the 2023 kids bedrooms declutter, deep clean and organization. This year we are doing it differently than we have in the past years. Instead of removing everything from the rooms and painting, this year we are tackling the bedrooms by categories. I think this will result in less decluttering, but the kids wanted to try doing it this way. I'm okay with whatever method they use. I have 50-gallon bags labeled and ready to be filled. One bag is labeled Trash and the other is labeled Give Away.

I have put off doing most inside stuff for garden focus in May.
So...pretty much everything needs attn.
I have swept & mopped the rest of the floors upstairs.
Rinsed out the mop emptied bird bath to let it dry and clean later.
I put a bucket of water near it under the tree for them.
Emptied vacuum canister.
Placed Amz. order.
I have a meal plan.
Bujo done.
Got June journal set up.

I've had a very productive morning!

Up at roughly the right time, had my tea on the balcony where it was cool, checked email on the computer and saw an excellent 'cooling activity' so sent an email asking if it was possible (turn on the sprinklers on the front lawn so we can run through.) Got dressed.

Ran my errand at the other building, stopped in at the office (a sauna, since it is a glass box with only the door for airflow), got the sprinkler approval, ran a second errand to the other building (forgot to check my texts before leaving), had a call with a resident asking about subletting his apartment, got the FB notice done, sent a mass email to 300 people about it, then headed out for dh's ECG appointment. Dropped him off, went to the dollar store for Freezees and water balloons, picked him up and got my library holds and my rings plus a battery put into my watch (that's a 2 year old to-do off my list plus my watch off my desk!) Once home, I put the Freezees in the freezer and hope they'll be frozen by 5.

The one fail today is that I forgot my load to go to the thrift store so that is still in the cart in the front hall. I'll take it down to the car and hopefully drop it off on Friday or Saturday (no time tomorrow.)

Now I have just over 4 hours until I need to start filling water balloons for water play outside between 5 & 6.

The apartment is hot and stuffy. We had to shut windows by 10. Thankfully, I have a very small fan that is blowing air on my face to keep me feel like I'm not hot or suffocating.

We chose to set our a/c to 80F inside. That is warmer than most people choose to keep their homes. We do keep several fans available to turn on if you want air to be blowing on you. Having a fan moving the air makes it feel comfortable. Everyone except DD12 spends many hours outside on most days. After spending time outside the 80F inside the house feels cool.

I made eight cheeseburgers for lunch. Hopefully, there will be several cheeseburgers left for the ready-to-eat stash.

I went to my morning class, came home and did morning routines except I have massive footprints every where. Thats because I am rearranging my rooms and pulling some things from one room to put in another to see if I like it. This also includes pictures that are hanging on the walls.

I have dusted and vacuumed the house, plus did kitchen clean up. Now I am working on washing my area rugs.

I like the changes I have made in my two rooms and I just made a list of things I want to do that are bugging me. Included are several closets that need my attention. This house is very short on storage space which makes many things a challenge. I also see there are several places that need some deep cleaning including my huge shower in my master bathroom. The tile in the area where Sweetie showers needs some scrubbing. I bought a battery operator scrubber just for that purpose so I need to charge up its battery before I use it.

Think I can also use the scrubber to clean the tops of my base boards. Figure I can just work at one area at a time. In my other home, I would sit on the floor and wash the base boards by hand, but I'm not sure how happy my body would be at the moment if I did that.

Still need to work on my office. After I put the bookcases back together again, I somehow gained some more shelve space. Not complaining. I also have pictures that I need to hang. My ADD is really getting in the way, so the first thing I'm going to do is put a bunch of linens and things that are in my hall closet out in the garage. But like everything else around here that a two step process. I have a wooden chest out in the garage that they will fit in, but first I have to unload all the stuff that is sitting one i. UGH!!

However I know I'll be much happier once its done.

LadyM...Mine is set at 77*. However when I lived in AZ, mine was set at 79*. Difference I think is in the level of the humidity. But, I do lower it to 74* here at night because otherwise I can't sleep. In AZ, I lowered it to 76*. And I do use a floor fan to circulate the air. I need the weight of a heavy blanket to help me sleep. And Good sleeping is the only trigger I've ever been able to connect to my migraines.

Should add, the recipe includes make your own sauce, but I used 1 1/2 jars of good marinara sauce.

(((Kathryn))) * Make that (Air Hugs) because when you feel all hot and stuffy, you don't want anything to touch you! Is the temperature of your apartment regulated by the whole building and you are unable to adjust it? I think our school building is like that now and individual teachers have no control over their classroom thermostats. I would hate that!

I am having a Wonderful Wednesday because I am doing NOTHING.
NOT that I have nothing TO DO, of course, but I am giving myself a treat of a very low-key day.
-- Monday dgd was here till noon, then both of them for supper... and I did LAUNDRY
-- Last night they were both here for several hours... and I did IRONING...
-- Tomorrow, I have to get up early-for-me to go to funeral for dmom's preacher's wife... (no one would really notice if I didn't go, but I really thought a lot of this lady and she and her husband were a great support for me after ddad died and dmom was so sick.) Tomorrow night dh wants to go out to a movie or something.
-- Friday/Saturday/Sunday will be the usual back and forth with dgrands, etc and the Sunday busy-ness, with an added party for dgd's softball team.
SOOOO -- deserved or not, today Lucy is doing whatever Lucy wants to.

I would have taken the dgrands to the pool today, and the weather is wonderful, but dgd started running a fever last night and ddil is having horrible stomach virus symptoms, up all night, diarrhea and throwing up. So we decided it would be best to let this run its course and keep dgd in a day or so.

Nancy, you are just amazing with all you are getting accomplished. You go, girl!

You, too, Rose! You sound very high-energy today! (Of course, you always do! I wish you could bottle that and mail me some!)

LadyM, I think that is wonderful that your ds wants to talk to you so much. I know it can interrupt the flow of your day, but it is just a great thing that you are the person he turns to like this. I know you treasure these days. I bet you will always be super close!

Helia, have a good day at class. IKWYM about having a hard time decluttering clothes. I'm in the same situation.

Harmony -- is the inspection something that was required after the hurricane damage, or a homeowner's association, or what? We have never had a home inspection, except I guess you could say when the insurance policy was written up. (BTW, good for you on getting the day started here in the village.)

So far my TA-DAs for today are fairly small --
* checked bank auto-teller for deposits
* threw away old debit card receipts
* phone call to order dh's Supple (arthritis supplement)
* helped Sheldon average bp numbers for the month
* talked to dmom about funeral plans for tomorrow
* talked to ds, visited with ds & dgrands when he came by to pick up anti-nausea meds for ddil (Dgd feels fine as long as Tylenol has her fever under control)
* went to post office

I haven't s2s (I did D2S for the post office trip, LOL) and I haven't done my Bible reading or anything on my morning routine except weigh & eat breakfast.
