bw2, you're an inspiration yourself.

I'm still feeling stressed and overtired, not surprisingly. I think the only must do today is to get to the workout, although I need to tell trainer about fall, still slightly sore hip and ankle, and overall malaise. I took out chicken to grill for our supper - simple, and I'll add a salad and another veggie, if I remember to go buy one. :? Not surprisingly, my grocery list on Tuesday didn't extend to our dinners.

I should figure out the day instead of just sitting here. OTOH, I may need to just sit some. I'm piddling around with the info to my cousin Bill.

d twins - I was feeling the same way yesterday - take time for you to rest!!! I had sciatica for 4 days and pushed through it but that was not a smart idea because it was keeping me up at night. My body said "what the dog gone are you doing to me" and I finally had to give in to keeping things restful and easy. I dislike every minute but it was exactly what I needed.

Take a day off from a lot of physical stuff. Your body is tired! Your brain needs you time as well.

Your body is like a car - if you run on empty; you can't go anywhere!

waving to you and I will set up Ice tea, fresh fruit, a few things to nibble on and a cool restful seat in the shade

Hi!

No knitting today as the building is being used for something else today and the rest of the weekend. The street is going to be closed as there is a large event going on until Sunday night. Due to that, we went and got groceries at a large store there this morning "before they closed the road" and I think a lot of other people had the same idea.

I need to finish with the flowers today if possible. It's overcast and cool here right now. I also want to go and buy another garbage can, as we only have 1 for garbage. We also have 1 for bird seed and another for peanuts for the blue jays. I should get that today because that store is in the same town as knitting.

We will be having Shepherd's Pie for supper.

Good morning! I have not done much yet. If I had not yet completed my part of the welding project, I’d be in a meeting right now, but I have, so I’m not. :) Both kids are still sleeping. I should wake them, but I’m enjoying the peace and quiet. I really should remember this evening to contact dfriend’s husband about taking the kids out driving. Since remote jobs are not panning out, it would be nice for them to be able to get somewhere.

I also need to remember to have DH call for a sub for church Sunday. I’m scheduled to read, and he’s scheduled to help with Communion, but a college friend is coming in to town, and friends are planning to get together for lunch on Sunday. If we go to our regular service, we wouldn’t be able to get to the restaurant until 12:30 or so. So I’d like to go either to the early service or the vigil the night before. Finding a sub for me is easy — ask the woman who’s doing the other reading if she’d do both. Finding a sub for DH is harder, but there’s one woman he’s subbed for at least twice at the last minute, so she gets my vote for first choice.

I really need to get going on the wash. I didn’t finish yesterday’s load, so I am commando today. I also need to get my butt moving to see if I can get my steps in. Pass the BGS!

I've felt so concerned about (Dee) of course, as I read in J and C. Thinking of her so often.

I neglected to say anything about the loss of the one hen, LadyM. I know what's it's like to just have one left and also how, when there's just one, it's more of a pet concept, no matter how many eggs may happen. What a shock to think there could be hail that could kill like that.

(Harmony), I hated to hear about you cleaning up that explosion of carbonated sweetened drink, after other difficult parts of the day. The afternoon of my late dh's funeral, my dbil, who had been one of the ministers, was talking to me in our dining room, and ds had been so nervous all day. Ds was absentmindedly sort of tossing a can of cola or something back and forth in his hands. I remember his uncle said something like be careful. Well, it dropped and the soda sprayed and sputtered, to the point of hitting the ceiling. Ds was devastated, dbil was angry/frustrated. I was cleaning and cleaning and didn't see the ceiling until it was dry. Sigh.

I've spent a disheartened few days because of the actions of my former church big-denomination, now making headlines. I was so happy when it fell to me during my 30s and 40s to give talks/programs on contemporary women preachers during Christmas and Easter offerings, both named after their historic woman leaders. I still have some of the literature. I guess they won't even use those revered ladies' names anymore, having decided they were wrong to lead? Or will they sanitize the history. Don't know. Sadly, as goes this newly "strict-to-tradition" denomination, others follow their reversal.

HRH is talking about a trip out. I should stay home and get chores up to speed, but we'll see. If we can get along (smile), he does best when I'm with, I think.

Mystery, I like you. You are the honest woman Diogenes was looking for.

Harriet, I too have read of your church's decisions this week. It's very sad.

(((Harriet))) As Warren said, “I say we need to take the church back to the first century. The church at its birth was the church at its best.” Which reads a lot better than the woman who said, “We should leave no room for our daughters or granddaughters to have confusion on where the SBC stands.”

Yup, no room for our daughters and granddaughters. That about sums it up.

I'm having a tough day because I forgot my ADD meds. And it took until 12:45 before I realized why my brain may not be working well and why I might be so terribly tired. I thought it was the smoke (which is back.) Or the lack of a/c (which is still not working.)

I've made progress, just not at the speed or with the confidence I need to make this day a success.

Music is set for the service on the 25th, the written parts I need to submit to the bulletin are in, and I have started to learn what I need to do for a Power Point presentation (step one, concert to Google Slides to save another volunteer that work.)

So, in fact, things are going well but it doesn't feel that way.

Next I'll do a walk around the building (inside and possibly out) to get some movement in. I'll have to be masked because things are getting that bad. And I really regret delaying the purchase of the air quality meter. At least I have enough masks.
