School starts one month from today. Knowing that is lighting a fire beneath my effort to regain my lost habits. I must be on a fairly rigid schedule to do DS14 homeschool and DD12 public school things. I need these habits to make things run smoothly so I can do all that the two schools require.

I am still having to be super careful with my left knee. It is improving so I am going to continue to slowly add more activity each day. I have considered going to the doctor to get it checked out, but I am not willing to have surgery until I prove to myself that it won't recover on its own. If I am not willing to follow their recommendation, then why bother asking what they think? My knee can do things today that I couldn't do a few days ago so the slow recovery progress continues. I do have a time limit of letting it heal on its own. If it isn't better by Sept 1st then I will seek help.

Thank you for starting us off today LadyM.

I just came in from burning a LOT of cardboard. There is very little wind here, so a perfect day to get that job done. All the clean laundry is put away. There are clean dishes in the dishwasher. I also have a nice knitting group to attend at 10.

Leftover spaghetti and meatballs for supper.

I did a swish n swipe in one bathroom.
Cleaned the bird bath.
Put out snacks & juice for the crew.
They are not here might be getting supplies for the railing, weather delays or issue with one of the rigs ...
Considering how to do cinn. rolls in the crock pot saw some recipes in yt  I will look up brownies next did that.
Planning done.
Red Flag warnings up.

We had friends over for dinner last night - we had a good time but I was exhausted when they left a little after ten. DH grilled steak, and I roasted brocolli and made a caprese style salad. They brought fruit for dessert.

Today I have body work at 11:30 and a discussion group at 3:30. I never did the prep for the discussion group so not sure I'll even sign into Zoom for it.

Almost time to go, I've been lollygagging.

Morning....

Been to class, done my morning routines and had my breakfast.

Couldn't get on of my under the sink shelves to fix yesterday so back to Amazon they go today. I have several other things to return so it won't be a waste of my time.

Have a few things computer things to do before I leave. Its hot here of course but not as hot as it is in Mesa. Things to be thankful for.

I did get going timely this morning. Got my QT in before we had to leave for the dentist. DH's filling was done in record time it seemed, then they came out and called me. He had told them back in the exam room that since all the fillings are done he was satisfied to be done with it all. Nooooo. He has 3 crowns to do. So they called me back in and we went back to the administrator's office where I told him to start with the one that had a root canal done on it and had never been capped. Ok, talked him into that one. We chatted on the way home and I think I have him convinced to keep on the work and get the others done. He is worried he's running us out of money - which isn't hard to do at a dentist these days - but I told him if he's not going to finish I won't keep up mine either. Hummmph! It's not the pain and discomfort he objects to, but his age and the $. I think I have him convinced.

So today was a success. We stopped at home for his long shoe horn and we went off to a store to look for work shoes and this time found something he was willing to try. I helped him get shoes on and off and he settled on a pair that was amazingly cheap and seemed pretty sturdy. He has trouble with the way heels wear because of his rolling ankle. We think these will work for a while. If he likes them when he wears them I will go back and get another pair. His work shoes presently are a mess.

So I'm going outside to try to do some work. He says he will get the edger going for me, but I'm not holding my breath for that. We'll see what happens out there. Heat advisory today again. Yesterday I had to water one of the planters as my bushes were becoming wilted. Funny, the ones in the other planter were doing fine.

Hello everyone. It is a mostly sunny day here after a mostly cloudy weekend and still in the mid/high 80s.

I slept in an hour later than usual this morning. My routines are done and I just had a bite of lunch. I also watered the plants inside and out on the front porch. We didn't get the rain that was predicted for around our area yesterday.

Ddil and her dmom went out shopping for groceries. Ddil also brought more paint. She and dson have been slowly updating the colors in the rooms downstairs and also repainting the trim white. They worked in the den this past weekend. The top half of the room is painted and the bottom half is wood panel. Ddil wanted to brighten the room so she painted the paneling white. She also painted the window trim white. Eventually the room color will be changed from moss green to a lighter french blue. It will look nice when done.

Well, I'm on my laptop which just told me I need to plug in. (The cord is upstairs). So, guess I'll see you all later.

I've had a somewhat productive day. I've been down a rabbit hole trying to do some fixes to a family on the FamilySearch site - someone "hijacked" it - changed the name, deleted all the children and wife, added new wife and family, but left all the sources there. It's a mess. I also (finally) reconciled the checking account for the temple cemetery - there are only like five autopay transactions most months and I have to write a check now and then, but I hadn't reconciled since January. So that's done through May - I don't have the June bank statement yet - may be at the temple - and I never did the online access thing for it.
