Morning…
Went to class and all my routines are done. Came home, made my breakfast and am now watching Men’s Wimbledon …a treat for me. New American hope is playing. His name is Chris Eubanks. Wish my mom was here with me. We always watched the matches long distant together while on our phones. She would really like this guy.
Don’t know about the rest of the day…will think about it after the game.

I woke up at 6am and enjoyed being lazy in bed for a bit. I am training myself to shift my sleep hours a bit earlier, but I don't have the necessity to hit the floor running as soon as I wake up. Next month I will need to do that but for now I can enjoy the luxurious feeling of starting my day a bit slower. #SummerVacationMode
I have been outside spraying wasp and hornet nests that are too close to the entrances of our home. I also spent some time cleaning the SUV windows since they were covered in the early morning dew.
Yesterday I wrote my goals down and it helped me to accomplish them. Making a plan or setting goals is helpful to me.
My goals for today -
** Keep focus on habits being reestablished. Hourly movement, meal planning, health tracker spreadsheet, PM cards
** Linen cabinet - 3 shelves stuffed with various sizes and colors of sheets, pillowcases and ??. What do I want the end result to be? Hum.. We only use twin bottom sheets & pillowcases. Everything else needs to find a new home.
** Process tomatoes & peppers. Wash, chop, freeze.
** Top freezer in extra room. Empty & clean, inventory food items & organize.
** Mentor DS14 - observation of wasp/hornet nest in eves of house and their removal
** Mentor DD12 - learning how to use weed eater.
** Meet with church family. Play with the babies & toddlers.

There is not enough, but also too much happening. For dh, who is already very bored with the day, there isn't anything happening. At 7:50 he was itching to get to a garden store that opened at 9. We went to a grocery store near there, thinking that would take up the time. Nope. We were parked in their employee parking lot at 8:45. Dh wanted to get in there. Almost as soon as we walked through the doors, he turned around and said he didn't see what he wanted. He didn't even go to where the plants were. He asked an employee about something and that was it. He was done. We were home before 9:30 and he's already stretched out on the bed. We do have a guy coming over to use his own weed whacker to do the back yard and dh doesn't know when he's coming.
For me, there is laundry to switch over. A bean salad to be made. A dishwasher to be emptied. A hall way to figure out. I want to paint it glossy white. Everything I see online has a mirror hanging in the hallway. Dh claims the stud won't hold a mirror. It might be off center... etc. He doesn't want to go with me to look at doors for where the boiler/water heater are, but he doesn't want mirrored sliding doors, he doesn't like or want louvered doors, but we need to have air flow in there, so louvered doors are needed. etc., etc.... But he's bored but he doesn't want to have to do all that walking, but he's bored. I swear he's worse than a 5 year old sometimes.
We are having home made hamburgers for supper and I intend to BBQ them.

Hello, all! It’s been a while. DH is back from his trip to Spain. And my blood work from my most recent checkup had good news and bad news. My lipids were all in the normal range, but my A1C and glucose were heading into scary range. So I’ve been advised to eat as if I were diabetic and schedule a consult with a nutritionist. I have very little clue as to how a diabetic should eat, but I’m sure the consult will help with that. For now, I’m avoiding sugar and increasing veggies and protein. The poor eating habits I developed over my year spent mostly fridge-less (well, with several months of just a mini-fridge) have bitten me.
I currently do not have any paid work, so there is little excuse to avoid housework — and yet I do! I should have some lunch — a salad and a sandwich on thin-sliced whole wheat bread. Then I will have to tidy the bathroom and get a load of laundry started. Sounds like a plan, right?
Have a good one, everyone!

CI after lunch
I pulled 5 weeds.
Picked up after the dog.
Hand wash is soaking.
I fetched the mail & processed it.
This morning the contractor left a few shingles in case roof repairs are ever needed down the road.
I napped that is what happens when you get up with the birds.
The crew is back.

Mystery - I have been missing your CI. There are a lot of things happening in your life. If you find the answer to eating for health I would definitely be interested. There are so many experts that recommend opposite things that it becomes overwhelming to me to sort out. I would love to hear about your journey to improve health.
I have made good progress on the linen cabinet shelves. Clearing, categorizing into groups, decluttering, and organizing. I have learned to enjoy this process when done on a small, focused area.

Well on our way to Quebec, just dealing with rush hour volume east of Montreal.
The day has been smooth although neither of us slept well last night. Before Dh headed for his hair cut by bus, I got the house blessing and a load of laundry done plus everything to the car except my computer and papers and the cooler. Dh also did over half the apartment shut down list. I had 75 minutes to finish loading stuff and lock up the apartment. I waited only minutes outside the salon, then on to dd's to drop off something, then hit the road.
We will charge while having dinner, and should be at the hotel around 8.
Our hotel has a charger so we can charge overnight although I have to check if it is free. The nearby fast charger isn't working so that makes a difference how long we'll charge at supper.

OMG, the car took us off the highway and for a little bit it was faster, then a mile from rejoining it became stop stop stop and go a little. Both lanes were stopped and we needed a left so sat in the left lane. Then within 2 blocks of the turn it said to go right and drive on side roads for miles more. The highwwe were turning onto was ok when we left the other highway and then got blocked while we sat on sidestreets, so we stuck with the original plan and, so far are moving much faster on the highway.
Still, we will get to dinner 30 minutes later and thus to bed much later. Sigh.
