Monday Channel the Madness

I feel like it's madness here today with being upstairs in my seat at 10:30 ready to go. So I'm trying to get a lot done. I'm moderately successful so far.
How can you channel your own little bit of madness into the activities that make you happy today?

We are working on having personal care life skills done earlier each day. We have 16 days to reach our goal time of being ready to leave @ 7:30am each weekday. I was ready at 7:55am this morning so I need to improve.
DH has a dentist appt in the city this afternoon. I plan to combine this trip with some school clothes shopping.

The three biggies here are to walk the dog, s2s, and eat a healthy breakfast.
I've walked 5K steps already, and am eating breakfast. I need a trip to the grocery and may try for that in the 1.5 hr afternoon break. I'm doing some improvising for my breakfast veggie with cherry tomatoes and broccoli with ranch dressing for a veggie and fat. Otherwise I have a fried egg, fruit, a little yogurt. The veggies replace the spinach I usually put in my omelet and the dressing replaces the cheese on the omelet. I'll see how the ratios work out later.
S2s is next and I'll need to straighten up kitchen too. Another must-do today is to get a check for the temple cemetery into the mail.
I can also do some straightening up in my room upstairs while I'm listening this week.
I think I'm feeling less anxious and rushed now that I've talked it out some in my head, lol.

I was up at 6:30!

Dh said he was up since around 5. He is stretched out on the bed right now.
All clean laundry is away! There is a pile of black pants on the dresser. I have a bag of clothing donations in the car and I want to add some black pants to that bag. Maybe later today.
Dh is going to get a giant dagwood to have with our supper. We have a lot of fresh veggies I can BBQ to go with whatever we end up having.
We are supposed to get more rain here later today.

I was up around 5:30 today. I have done the a m quiet time routine.
Cleared stuff off the patio workspace, hunted up & found painting supplies in the shed I had a tote with drop clothes brushes ect. inside.
Glad to have that successfully out where I can use it. Also got out the pop up shade canopy. Hoping I can get the set up before I do this.
I am thinking on paint with primer for it.
Walked ddog and have half of my step count in for the day at 7:30 in the morning!
Waving to all and hoping you have a great rest of your day & week!

Success! I ordered some of
these bags in hopes they would help me organize the many blankets, sleeping bags, and quilts. The heavy-duty zippered bags worked better than I had hoped. Now everyone has their favorite blankets & quilts in a bag labeled with their name. I have decluttered all the blankets that are not claimed to be favorites of someone. Many of the favorites were gifts from previous generations so they have memories attached to them.
I spent some time organizing the rabbits and their stuff this morning. The triple digit heat is hard on the rabbits so I want to make sure they are as comfortable as they can be.
I have a new-to-me favorite breakfast. I don't know how I stumbled upon this combination, but I find myself wanting to eat it every morning. 75g of FF cottage cheese, 75g of plain Greek yogurt, 7g protein powder and a squirt of flavor enhancer. The high protein, ease to make, taste and texture makes it my #1 choice. I have learned (the hard way) that if I start my morning with carbs, then I will be overeating the rest of the day. So, I stick with protein for my first meal.

Quiet here today. Everybody must be busy.
We had our neighbor and his wife come by and we sat and visited on the porch a few minutes. I shared some of the pineapple we harvested from the yard. They were impressed! I asked him what the vine was he'd given DH and I planted. Didn't think it looked like sweet potato but he said it was. Let's see if I get some sweet potatoes from it. He grew a huge one from his.
DH wants to go to the beach. sigh...it's too hot, I don't want to go. Well, I've been putting him off for weeks.
Had a lot of desk chores to do. Lab values to log from my GP appointment, a bank to reconcile, emails to check for bills and I paid 3 online. Finally had time for a QT. If we weren't going out I'd have spent more time with this. I miss doing it if I miss a couple days.
Guess that's it so far. Have a nice day!

Lunch happened. It isn't fine dining, but it meets my basic requirements of being here and hot. I found a cheap frozen pizza that had got lost in the bottom of freezer.
Who knows how long it has been there? ANYway I cooked it to get it out of the freezer. I also cooked a couple dozen frozen meatballs in the air fryer. I prepared 4 packages of ramen noodles. Everyone can decide what they want to eat. I poured spaghetti sauce over some meatballs with ramen noodles. Sometimes my food selections look like a 2-year-old picked it.

Our lunch isn't until 2 p.m. I had a snack at the break. I'm trying to decide whether to try to get to grocery at lunchtime, when we have 1.5 hrs.

I have scrubbed off the outdoor cabinet and found white paint with primer in it here so used that on it. Looks odd with the color of vanilla ice cream for a counter top. [I had a lavender color of exterior paint.] I forgot to sand it so will let it dry sand it and clean out the inside and use the lavender for inside of that. Might do grey or navy or a darker green/blue. I have a painting with a border of navy and the vanilla ice cream color it goes well so I am keeping that in mind. I have a shawl that is nearly that color so might help and be easier to take for sample colors. Blue grey would go as well.
My back was a bit out so had to lay down and rest it and felt my back go back in place.
Lunch break now I cooked up veg to go with others I had for 2 servings & left overs.
I rested.
I have not done anything inside dishes away for my attention. These are done.
