It's Saturday My day's focus is:
PICK IT UP AND PUT IT AWAY. (that includes finish what you started during the week).

I am up got us at 5:15 felt like sleeping in for me! LOL!
More rain in our forecast today.
qt. & planning underway planner play today~ journaling next up.
Then bfast.
Sheets & sewing after that.
Maybe some painting.
And a worm walk with the umbrelly.

It's the end of September.

I've been up since before 6.

I've put all the glass/crystal vases that are on top of my bookcases in the bedroom into the dishwasher and now they are on the stove and the counter to dry every last drip from them. They go in front of the large windows so the cats will stay out of the blinds. The large ones that didn't fit got washed in the sink.

I've also washed all the blankets from the living room. They are all dry and back on the chair and the couch/sofa/chesterfield.

I also took down the 3 fly traps from the bathroom/kitchen/pantry. Flies are done for the year I think.

I also put 4 new felt pads under the table in the bathroom and dusted that entire table.

I also burned 2 bags full of paper and cardboard. Absolutely no wind here yet today, and it's overcast.

No idea what's for supper tonight.

Harmony I think was posting about q's on what medicare covers I came across a book I got in the mail it is state speciffic.
But covers info. it comes each year, but if you can look up the address from us dept of health & human services centers for medicare & midcaid

Nah not going to do the sheets today.
There is a baby shower at the park me not doing that in the rain either.
Did do an entry in my prayer journal.
Thinking what I can put in my last few entries for Sept. booklet I did instead of a bujo last mo.
it was helpful for seasonal and beyond planning.
Some of the stuff makes me think I need a break for a bit and to stop over thinking.
Sewing project today might be doing fringe.

Walked ddggo around the block, drying our feet now.
I painting the tops of two side tables and did not have to move em did it in the shed! Win win!

Headed to the ballgame. Dgd couldn’t come, fever and sore throat… dh can’t go, gout… so dgs and I will sit with dbil and his girlfriend and try to sell the other 3 tickets.
We’re also still waiting on the man from ServPro, to get a key to this unit.

Yes it is, bw2! We had a fire outside last night and I owe dh an apology because it was actually very nice out. I think the lower humidity makes a huge difference. We stayed out until maybe 9:30 with dneighbors, whom I enjoy so much. Ddog has been walked two laps and fed, and the walk with her put me over my weekly step goal.

I ate breakfast, I'm going to go ahead and make chili so it's ready later when we come back from the wedding. Dd reports that the food is a "baked potato bar." As a diabetic, dh doesn't eat baked potatoes so we'll nosh a little, visit a little, and head out.

Dh and dfriend A have gone to help load and pick up a Green egg smoker that a friend was selling. More stuff on our back patio and I'm betting it doesn't get used much.

I'm remembering the song "Try to Remember the Kind of September" except I've substituted "End" of September in my mind.

Good morning (barely)! I did go get those shoes yesterday. They were black, and I would have preferred navy, but they didn’t have navy in stock, and my coupon was only good for stock on hand. Plus it’s nice having them and not waiting for them. I remembered that I had seen there was an Asian grocery store near there, so we stocked up on junk food. I got a bunch of green tea-flavored things, and DC got some Korean chips they discovered on our last trip to World Market. We picked up some cookies for DD and a variety of Japanese pop.

DH is out with the Scouts this weekend. I may have my “revenge” on Monday; dfriend has invited the girls’ group out. There is a reunion for my high school class tonight, but I’m not going. Finding out about it just last week, after reservations were supposed to be in, provides a convenient excuse. I don’t know of any of my good friends that are going, and I’m awkward in crowds. I picture myself just standing around, and it’s difficult for me to stand for any length of time. Anyhow, more reasons not to go than to go.

I need to make a grocery list; I have no idea what we’ll have for dinner tonight.

Our weather here is gorgeous: sunny, and the high is supposed to be about 70. DH has got a nice weekend for camping. I hope you don’t have too much rain, Nancy (though the worm walk makes me smile), and that everyone else has fair skies (unless they need the rain). Have a good one!

What a busy SHE village with many tasks being accomplished!

How is the weather where you are at? Can you see fall coming?

We are still in the 90F's here. Not as hot as summer triple digit temps but still hot enough to have to stay aware of not getting overheated while outside. Our weather forecast shows next week will be cooler so I'm looking forward to fall weather pattern to start then.

DD46 picked DD12 up before 7am this morning to go clean someone's house (DD46 cleans for a living). DD12 was back home within a couple hours.

DS15 is at work. He had planned on taking today off but changed his mind last night. One of his friends is working today so DS15 wanted to work with him. They are cutting tree saplings down around boss pond and hauling the cut wood to burn pit. It wouldn't surprise me if they have fishing lines in the water while they are cutting/hauling trees.

My focus for today is to get my monthly tasks accomplished to be ready for October.

Twins, reading the words to that song made me tear up. I'm feeling like our life is sorta over in many ways.

DH is obsessing over a problem in the yard work. I had to help him as he tried to get the blade off the edger. We've never been able to fix that thing. A carburetor rebuild kit is ordered and has been on order for over a month I think. We checked on it but it hadn't come in. So DH decided he wanted to put a longer blade on it and dig a trench between our property and the one next door. They do what most people down here do, they just cut their grass and whatever weeds come up they just cut them too. Nobody pulls all their weeds out of their grass like DH does. Next door they have some viny stuff that's coming over into our yard and it's causing him a lot of trouble keeping it out. So he has some of that rubber edging and he's going to put that down the property line to keep out the invaders.

I think he should be going through the truck to pull out the few things he wants to keep for himself. He needs to be getting ready for the guy who's coming from the auction company Monday morning. I am frustrated.

I guess I will close out the quarter, email one report and copy another to send in the mail. I emailed my friend, discovered I had no cell service...it's spotty out here where we live.... and I would like to call our CPA to ask some questions about all this. I guess that's my priority for today. I'd like not to be outside doing stuff, my rashes are - if anything - getting worse. Monday I will call dermatologist. I definitely need some help. It's 95° right now.

Thank you Nancy. I just got our 2024 Medicare booklet. I didn't have it when I made the call to them. My problem came from not understanding what the rules were. My Dr. does things very differently and what their rules are I guess their own procedures. I don't think they try to make up reasons or enlarge things so that they can get covered for more than 2 times a year. I do think that's what DH's dr. does. He does have things they need to keep track of, but maybe not to this extent.

Can you believe we only have 3 months of the year left? Plenty of time to get bunches done, right?

Yes, it is also lovely outside here BUT until I get past this evening's very social and potentially ... um... multi-opinioned ... neighborhood meeting, I can't relax and enjoy outdoors, or baking (which I sort of planned) or sewing (which I definitely planned). Neighbor called this morning to tell me she counts 28 people now and rising.

Dd25 is here lying down and will be until tomorrow. She is having her usual lethargic and headachy reaction to the new Covid shot. She has a very alert immune system , so she is always down for the count for about a half day. Friday evening after work was the best time for her to get it, so that she can just come be her Daddy's patient for a while Sat afternoon and night. She needed it this weekend because she leaves in 10 days ( ? or so) for a trip to the west coast where she'll be a bridesmaid in a college friend's wedding. She'll stay for several days and be around a large group of people from all over.

She just took her temp, 101. She says the side effects seem less this time.
