Good morning
DH and I will have a few hours ALL TO OURSELVES today. DS15 is going with friends to Dallas to watch a game. DD12 is going to DD47 home for a few hours.
DH and I are taking this opportunity to go shop for dishwasher and stove. We have needed to replace these appliances for a while, but it keeps getting shoved down the priority focus.
We also need to pick up the food I ordered for Christmas eve meal.
The family doctor is changing my one and only prescription to what he referred to as "the best statin currently available". I will be picking up a 90 day supply of that new prescription.
I want to use some of this free time to plan. Planning always makes things seem to flow easier. When i have a plan then I tend to not become overwhelmed. I am using
the yearly spreadsheet to plan. I have added several columns to the month to make it easier for me to see at a glance what and when things are occurring. I am also including my menu theme in this. It seems to be coming together nicely and I am pleased with how it provides me a broad look forward.

I was writing this post and then life happened. Later I came back to laptop and found that I didn't hit submit

dd younger and her dog is here! dd younger said she was worried, as well, that she wouldn't make it for Christmas. She said she would have driven if the flight was oversold. I am glad that wasn't an issue.
Her dog was ecstatic!!! when he got out of the car he was jumping in the air then ran to each of us in happiness. So cute!
Our dogs are equally as happy to see him and of course dd!

today:
started the day with a prayer of gratefulness.
put away my laundry
put away everything
make appetizer for tomorrow
clean out car for packages.
girls are making cookies with me today. My hope is to drop them off at neighbors and my old neighbor.
shower today as the girls will use up all the hot water tomorrow
dd younger needs to buy pj's for Christmas Eve - a tradition since they were young. everyone gets new pjs and new pillows and every so often new blankets or sheets. I know weird but it helped keeping current with good bedding and pjs.
have a wonderful day everyone!

Good morning thanks for the start LM.
I have done my qt and some journaling.
Had some food & took my Rx.
The sun is up and I'm watching a flock of geese fly by it's not foggy yea!
I have praise music on it is helping today.
I am glad the days are getting longer now & that Christmas celebrating is done for the family.
Wondering what day for doing eggs to devil.
I cut ribbon to tie on the wreath out front when it warms up a bit.
Later I'll be working on the hot pad trying to get it to the part where I can put on the yarn
to add the stripe color that is my goal, and spin up some wool I'd carded and color blended.
Sheets need changed as well as trash needs to be taken out & one round in the zone.
I am pleased with how I've been rethinking & using my planner pages and doing what works for me and if that is different daily that is okay!
.......
Sheets are in the washer > dryer now.
Eggs have been boiled and are cooling in the fridge. I am glad I remembered to do instead of 12 for me.
I have added the colored yarn for the stripe and have a half of a row done of it.

No mail.

everyone must be busy little elves today!
hello dearest Nancy!
I love when the geese fly by. I missed that when I lived in my part of Wisconsin. It's lovely to have them here. We also have swans.
how nice to have praise music on! good for you!
I love that you can card/color blend/and then spin your own wool! I have always wanted to try that
glad you are finding what works for you!
hello all!

dd older decorated more of her cookies and cleaned up after herself.
my appetizers for tomorrow are ready to go!
dd's are planning to take mom for tea/coffee and a couple pastries. (up my mom's alley)
I need to go to the grocery store for a few last minute things.
I might pick up some greenery to decorate mom's table for her dinner with my brother and sis in law. I just worry she will toss it out before they come tomorrow. She is fast!!! I am thrilled she didn't take down the Christmas tree

She keeps saying she is going to take it down but it is still there. It's my tree but she has adopted it. I might have to grab it the 26th before she does something with it.
todays hope:
make Christmas cookies and drop them at some neighbors with Christmas cards
store for last minute things
make part of christmas day's dinner
write French family on fb
decorate mom's table
put away laundry
rinse floors again as I want the house clean for when we go tomorrow.
empty the car
pull cloths for tomorrow

dd is dealing with a problem at work - hoping it all pans out. It's hard when others leave problems for the last minute without telling anyone. hoping she is not dealing with this over Christmas and on her vacation. She can't fly to the east coast. A simple thing can blow up if not taken care of.
