How are you today?
I am doing okay.
Got dressed by seven today yea!
On track again now with my QT.
Journaling happening. / bujo next. x
Short walk with ddoggo around the block.
Done to here.
-----
Waving to all.
Poof and just like that I"m back from a couple of errands.
Food and one other .
Got a law chair the plastic Adirondack type that did not fit unter the cover of the truck so I

put it in the back seat upside down! It has been hosed off and the tag removed.
I put side tables I had the go with this color teal blue-ish.

Happy... it is muggy and
T- storms will be north of us in the afternoon. But it is muggy out.
-----
After a rest and lunch break.
I have put the petunia I got on clearance $4 in the ground by the steps for a bit more color.
It always helps to have a reason like that to do some weeding!
I did get sunflower seeds scattered in the beds and watered those too.
Wind came up and we had a bit of rain.
I have been resting ddoggo is in her safe room as she so dislikes wind.

Good Morning!
Nancy - Thank you for the start today.
I slept in this morning and ended up with over 9 hours of great sleep. I was up during the night as the thunder & lightning were noisy & bright but it was just a spring storm without danger, so I easily went back to sleep.
The blue index cards arrived in the mail today so I can create DH cards. It just seemed wrong to me to have DH cards in any color other than blue. I have used the color blue for decades to designate DH items, so DH & blue color is well ingrained into my head. The arrival of the cards also gave me an opportunity to chat with DH about the cards. He hasn't been using the 4 cards the last couple of days so I wanted to make sure that he wanted to use cards. He does want to use cards but he can't remember to check them. I have moved the location of DH cards so they are separated from the kids cards. We will try again.
DD12 has an appointment with her counselor @1pm today. That means we are having subway for a meal today (DD12 chooses). Tomorrow is DD12 birthday so there is a high probability that shopping will be included in our adventures today.

Hi everyone!
I am having a PJ day. All I've done other than make breakfast for dh and myself is work on a cross stitch project. I've never done a project where all the colours are on their own needle so I don't have to spend the time switching colours. I am making fanatastic, FAST, progress.
Supper tonight will be soup and grilled cheese sandwiches.
Dh is having a quiet day on the couch. He has a "hangover" from a special cookie that someone baked for him. He had 1 last night to replace the usual gummie and regrets that he ate the entire cookie today. I'm extremely happy that I didn't eat any.

Soup and sandwiches sounds like a great idea for supper! Thanks, Cathy, for the idea.
I'm slowing down here. I did get the smallest counter wrapped and am running into issues with the contact paper seeming to have spots without adhesive. My second issue is that it won't stick to particle board so I can't wrap the paper all the way around the edges because it won't stick to the uncovered parts of the laminated counters.
I'm thinking I need to buy some sort of adhesive for that part. The next section to do is the rolling cart/island that sits in front of the window. It came with a cheap butcher-block type top which wore out and dh replaced it with a piece of laminate counter top he got from our super. It doesn't match my other counters and has bugged me from day one although it looked better than the damaged wood. But this isn't finished on 3 edges (because it tucks in between two counters) and I suspect I won't be able to get avoid air bubbles because I can't pull the paper tight and get it to stick.
I'm very close to abandoning the project but will try this, then stop and leave the two sections done (plus the drawer unit tops) and see how they 'wear' while I wait for dh to get home and get his opinion. In the meantime, I'll return the 3' wide roll of this because I suspect we won't go ahead.
I'll have to decide if I'm going ahead with the back splash paper or not. I don't think it will look good with my existing counter but I'll keep the paper because I have another idea for it, lining under the sink since the thermafoil edging of that has chipped away and looks awful.
On the positive side, this has triggered a deep clean of the countertops and rethinking of where things will go on top of the counters. Which is a good thing.

Got distracted by a phone call. Had to get tape off my fingers to answer the phone.
Have figured out more about the funeral lunch arrangements for tomorrow (one of the cleaner's father, not anyone I know.) I've called the caterer and given my name and number to let them in and get them set up when they arrive with the food. I'll set up the room tonight with a couple of others and then finish it off tomorrow during the funeral. They are expecting up to 80 people. The room holds at most 40 so but if the weather is OK, they can spill onto the patio outside.
The superintendent's wife is worried about the number of people and where they will all park. I told her neither were my problem, the room will be ready for the family and that's all that I have to think about!
Now, I'm apparently heading off to Costco the moment I finish putting the tape that was on my fingers where it was supposed to go. I just got a text requesting I pick up some stuff from there for someone else and I'm out of milk and yogurt so need to go for myself.

You had more success in the plant clearance aisle than I did. I tried to find something to bring home but came home without a plant.
Kathryn - the cleaner family sounds well-loved with lots of friends and family. I hope the funeral & meal goes well for them.
Cathy - YEAH for PJ days. IMHO they are a necessity sometimes.
After DD12 counselor appointment we picked up one of her friends. She will be spending the night with DD12. Four stores later we have DD12 birthday gifts, cake and pie selected and ready for tomorrow.
I stopped by the apartment where DS15 is working to drop off his Subway. He has another job lined up to start as soon as he gets off work. He asked if I would take him from job#1 to Job #2 at 5pm. Job #2 is farm related so DS15 can legally drive their farm vehicles. He expects to get off work from job #2 around 10pm. I expect it will be closer to sundown (9pm). DS15 will be taking ties off barb wire fence and burying the old wires. There are miles of fence to do so it will become repetitive mindless work.

Okay. The tween girls are fed, watered, and playing card games in the living room. DS15 and friend has been fed, watered and delivered to job #2.
Time to do something for myself.

Oh, please tell him to be methodical and careful working with barbed wire, LadyM. Thick gloves! I'm sure he will do a great job. That was a fast completion getting new set of cards ready.
Good to see Kathryn posting. Hello to family! I'll have to go back and read about this project.
Sounds like a very efficient, well-planned piece of needlework, Cathy.
Nancy, glad you found a way to get the chair home. That's nearly the best color for outdoor chairs and tables, I think. Blends with surroundings but has personality.
Yesterday with dd25 was done in her way, for sure. Boba Tea and steamed buns from the Asian sandwich shop in the international grocery. We also bought a few things, but nothing all that special because with other errands, we didn't think we could buy produce. Grateful to find Black Bean Sauce for stir-fries.
Today I got in more deep cleaning of specific items and surfaces, mostly in the kitchen.
Next up, the recyclables and trash out. They are ready.

I have had another day of lying on the couch, resting my voice. Finished the Z-pack today, but still coughing, so still taking Mucinex DM to try to get rid of the cough. Still feel like I could just sleep forever. Still have upset stomach, but OTOH, I don't remember when I
didn't have upset stomach.
I got up and s2s around 8:00 am, went out to dmom's (because her phone was out of order) and made sure she went to the doctor.
She did, he worked her in without appt and gave her new Rx for MRSA infection -- her culture had come back and DDIL was very concerned last night that dmom would not miss seeing the doctor today.
Went by the hospital and paid a bill which was due yesterday, but you know, holiday.
Ate Egg McMuffins for breakfast.
Came home and slept really well, except when people called on the phone.
Later, went to post office, paid a couple bills, got supper.
I really need to do laundry and wash dishes today... and file some papers that are piling up... and reconcile the bank statement...
and just get things generally straightened up around here...
I can't believe it has been six weeks today since dh's funeral. How does this even happen? Most of the time, I think I'm just kinda avoiding thinking about dh. I'm either sleeping, or busy with grands, or just doing whatever the next thing has to be done... and it just doesn't seem quite real that he's gone and this is my life from now on. When I start thinking about College Town this fall, or trips we had planned for the summer... then I get kinda panicky and depressed and mad.

Wow, lucylee. I missed there was even the chance of MRSA. So sorry. Thank goodness for caring med pros. Disappointed for you that you are still having to have Mucinex.
