Are you trying something new lately? We are interested!
"It is common sense to take a method and try it.
If it fails, admit it frankly and try another. But above all, try something."
– Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
Welcome!
In this thread we chat about keeping ourselves strong and capable as we pursue our calling as homemakers. Our family members may need to lean on us, and we may need to lean on them. Proactive medical answers, sensible consumption of healthy food and water, getting enough rest, and getting enough activity, too - these are all part of our plans! Helping each member of our households work in all their healthy habits is priceless!

What's new? For me I am trying to get dressed and walk earlier in the day to beat the summer heat.
Gradually doing this increments has been successful. I walk at different times in different seasons.
Other opportunities is gardening for some additional steps like today I thinned apples on that tree and some pruning.
Hand sawing branches for arm work out.

Remote needs batteries so less tv time.
Talked to a gal on my walking route a bit younger than me had a mild heart attack in Feb.
great motivator for me to keep up with my health & fitness stuff!

Nancy… sounds like a great walking plan to me.
In the past I was always an early riser, but as I’ve aged or because of so many years of having to get up at zero deal thirty…4;20… I am enjoying getting to stay up later and sleeping in. I don’t have classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays so that means I can stay up later than my usual 10:00 lights out.
On days I have classes I am up by 6.15. I like to drink my coffee and watch some tv before I need to leave a habit I started many years ago. Plus I suspect since I don’t have my son here any more I can be a bit more relaxed during my mornings.
I have changed my eating plan a bit to allow for some fruit. I usually do this during the summer cause I enjoy fruit during this time of the year. Still no white stuff or bread and I am trying to limit the amount of dairy I am consuming
I did sign up for another diet bet and am really focusing on my exercise and eating. We’ll see how I do this time

Happy to report I got 11k steps in and stayed on my new eating plan. I also drank all my water. I’m really focusing on that.
Today is the French Open ladies final so I will climb aboard my gazelle and get my steps in while I watch. Also may do one of my 30 minute video with light weights. I want to start doing more strength training …I don’t do much during my classes if at all…
Nancy…are you still doing your wall push-ups? I’ll be joining you

Stayed on target yesterday with my food. Got in over 10k steps and all my water.
Last night sugar was really talking to me and I had to tell my inner child no to the cookies in my pantry many times. I ended up making a flavored drink which isn’t on my plan before I went to bed, but only drank a bit of it. It quenched my sugar craving without doing too much damage to my eating plan

Yesterday was sort of a washout with a migraine... very few steps but I did stay on my eating plan and drank most of my water.
