Sunny Saturday

Good morning folks! I've brought muffins, fruit, tea, coffee, juice of every kind, and even napkins 
It's wonderfully sunny here today with an expected high of 25C (77F) with a possibility of some showers later this afternoon.
What's on everyone's agenda today? I've got housework, garden work, and, hopefully, a little sewing or crocheting. First, though, I'm going to finish my coffee

Hi BSweet! Thanks for opening the village today!
Absolutely NO plans for today! Dishes are under control. Laundry needs to be switched to the dryer.
It has been raining since before I woke up.
No idea what is for supper tonight. Dh wants grilled zucchini as the garden is producing so much of it this year. When you build larger garden boxes, and have room for more plants, this is the result!

We're overcast today with a low chance of rain all day. But high 91 or so with high humidity. The "feels like" temp will be much higher.
Instead of dragging myself to Lowes right now I ordered online, to go pick up later. I'll either take dh or ask them to load for me, and dh should be able to help unload too.
Oh my, just got a text that Z and his wife C, our other son, had their baby girl early early today. Part of me wants to get on an airplane and go there right now! Of course, there are four other sets of grand parents first in line, but I'm so excited for them.

CONGRATULATIONS ON THE NEW GRANDBABY, TWINS' MOM!!
I've gotten a few things done around here. I'm thinking it might be a good idea to alternate doing a few things in the house, and then a few outside. I also need to run a couple of errands later this afternoon - overdue library book and some boxes to drop off at the donation centre.
Next up:
- deadhead some peonies (I have five huge bushes)
- wash the rest of the dishes
- gather some recycling
- fill the bee fountains
- straighten the couch blankets (courtesy of Super Storm the Wonder Dog)
- flip laundry

bee fountains? I've heard of butterfly houses, but bee fountains sound fascinating
Super Storm is a good name for a couch-rearranging dog
Oh, Twins', that IS good news. We've been hearing about Z for many years, and it's wonderful to hear about the happy event.
Finally, Cathy, I can join in rain news, too.
Obviously, I was up through the night several times, as was HRH. Suspicions galore, lol. At about 4:40 I stepped outside at the front just to check for unwanted wildlife, and lo and behold 
it had just started raining as I got there. Wasn't "supposed" to. What a blessing for all the wildlife (and for us), probably interrupting the desperation that must have been felt lately for water or dampness. Maybe everything won't be so browned and burnt. Wildlife can go back to pre-criminality habits.
More rain forecast tomorrow at about 6 p.m. I may go outside and look upward like in those tv westerns when they waited for the raindrops.

I have had an adventuresome morning.
Congrats Twins fam!
Needed to drive the Jeep so loaded up donations and headed to the drive by t he church to see if yard sale was today, nope.
Glad I did not load the TV. There was a funeral today they had 2 guys out ready to grill and lots of gas grills lined up.
I had taken 3 pics of the TV box and asked if they wanted it one said yes and will come get it said I was not loading it myself & hauling it there
he things he can get $100 for it on cr. list and can give it to the lady at the funeral. So happy to help.
I saw a yd. sale at a place that had good stuff on my way home stopped and found flower seeds buckets for them baskets a pink KJV study Bible, floral sticky notes a couple of items to paint etc. score! And they took the donations to add to their sale! wa-hoo! Take some leave some gotta luv that.
Walked and spotted another one had no $ with me so will go back to it in a bit maybe mostly guy stuff.
I think it was a sale no signage out front however.
Harriet my a/c has a small tube reducer might work water drains in to the grass discreetly, I do have buckets around the back part of the
yard for dog & birds etc. and out front too. Just a thought.
Got a twig off my roof with a long stick.

Twins - CONGRATULATIONS! This is wonderful and exciting news.
My day started off great with waking up from sleeping almost 11 hours and then immediately going for my morning mile walk. i will jump over to J&C with the rest of my morning activites.

bittersweet, how good to see you! But you are clearly not in my neck of the woods — we have pouring rain!
We are supposed to go to my brother’s this afternoon for a cookout. His girlfriend has already bumped the time an hour later, but I don’t know if that will help. I do hope this comes off; he’s invited our aunt and uncle and cousins, whom I haven’t seen in ages. My aunt used to host the extended family for holidays until her own family got too extended. She and my uncle are up to five grandchildren and, I think, five greats now. My cousins’ kids and grandkids will not be there tonight; my brother’s house isn’t that big. Heck, it’s tight when just my family comes over.
I’m a little worried because I don’t want to face the implied criticism that I get from them (my weight, why don’t I host anything, what are my kids doing (floundering while my cousins’ kids are all doing well)), but I miss them and do want to see them.
So glad Twins gets to be an extra grandma!
I am off to put the laundry twins to good use. I worry a little in this rain, but the basement drain has not backed up (*knock wood *) since our tree has been gone. Have a great day, everyone!

Hi to Mystery. How was your anniversary? We remembered you and were ONLY two days belated.
Sounds like a great and beneficial day of being out and about, Nancy.
HRH was delighted with himself a bit ago, came into my office and got me to bring up a new window on computer. He'd found the "Children in Need Charity" 6-minute "short" that was performed and donated by the cast of Keeping Up Appearances in 1995. To my knowledge it has never been something we could see in US. And there it was in a YT a month or two old. Great fun.
Probably missed Mystery now, he was so caught up in showing me what he'd found. LOL! dd25 will be happy.
Mystery, I would rather have YOU come and visit ME than anyone who would imply criticism for you! I hope if they are privileged to see you, they will realize what a compliment it is for someone as terrific as you to include them in your life.

I went to Lowes to pick up my garden soil, I had to go to prod to get my "curbside" pickup but I got it. Dh is going to do unloading honors for me. I have finished with geraniums and asparagus ferns, finally. I still have 12 zinnia babies to get in the ground or a pot. I can't believe it's end of June and I'm doing this, but that's the kind of spring/early summer it's been. Maybe that means they'll go longer this fall, lol.
Z called while I was at Lowes and he and dh talked. Everything is well with them. I feel almost weepy with emotion!
Dh will go to store later and get keto buns for burgers tonight. We have some of the frozen burgers and will grill. I'm so enjoying not having anything on the calendar for the weekend right now.
Bittersweet, so good to see you and I'm so envious of you having peonies and blooms to deadhead. They are such a beautiful flower!
