weeded the drive way out front.

I don't have a lot of "w" chores today, except washing up the dishes, and - since it's raining outside and I can't do any weeding, I think I'll clean all the windows instead. There aren't that many - two smaller ones in the kitchen, one in each of the three bedrooms, and the big living room window. I may even clean the glass on the screen doors (more nose art from dSuper Storm) I could also wipe all the light switches and wall corners. Hmmmmm....I could think of seeral different things that could use "washing", so we'll see how far I get:

- wash dishes from baking yesterday
- wash kitchen windows
- wash living room windows
- call doc for appointment (bonus non "W" task )

Why is it that I never seem to remember that I should get DS to clean the kitchen windows?? He's taller and can probably reach the top of them, whereas I need to use the stepladder, and I hate, hate, HATE being on ladders of any height!! I did get all that done, though (excpt for a couple of dishes that are soaking), including the DPC to the doc to get an appointment for a replacement requisition. In April she said I needed to have a cortisone shot in my hand because I managed to develop trigger finger, and she also offered one for my hip. I declined the hip shot (rethinking that now, as it seems to get progressively more bothersome), and then managed to misplace the requisition for the hand shot I'll also see about getting a note to cover being off this week.

Hmmmmm.....what should I do next? I'm not sure I can come up with an entire day's worth of chores beginning with "w"

- wipe down pantry cupboards
- wipe wall corners and light switches in the kitchen
- WATP - one mile (or as much as I can do)

Fuel mower & add oil X
Pick up lawn furniture & move hose in back yard. x
Mow back yard. X
Water flower beds in back x
water yd. in front. x

Start laundry / put in d dryer X
Make & eat lunch x

Hi!

Walmart shopping has been done for at least 2 weeks.

Costco has also been done, hopefully for the month.

I watered all the plants inside and out yesterday.

There are a few dishes, but right now I'm exhausted, and dh said he was going to lay down for a bit.

We are having a cottage roll for supper. I think I'll do the potatoes and onions in the oven. It's gotten extremely warm again and it's windy as well.

Time for a nap.

Twins!! Congratulations! That is an amazing awesome accomplishment. I am so very happy for you and know that you put in tremendous time, education and effort to achieve this milestone. WOW! Just WOW!

I took yesterday off. Or rather I tried to take yesterday off. We had multiple drop-by visitors, phone calls, text messages, teen uber runs, plus the usual revolving doors of teenage activity. I also cooked and served three meals. But otherwise...I took the day off. For the first time in many years, I read an entire book (269 pages) in one day. Then I went to bed early and slept 8.5 hours.

I needed to give myself time to process the dual surgery that I have scheduled. If it were just cut/dry absolutely no other choice, then it would be easier to accept. However, I did a little research and found there has been a new laser way of doing the surgery instead of the standard knife/stitches method. I had this knife surgery a couple decades ago and know exactly how major of a surgery it is. I would much prefer the new laser instead of knife for a slew of reasons. My periodontist isn't certified in the laser method so that would mean giving up my trusted periodontist and going to someone new. Years ago I went through 6 periodontists to finally find a good one and the thought of giving him up and starting with someone unknown has me reluctant to make that decision. Also since this is being paid all out of my pocket this decision includes a hefty price tag to start over. Choices -
#1 - Stick with trusted proven periodontist and do the knife/stitch surgery. I prefer the laser surgery. Also my periodontist is 77 years old. He is mentally sharp, but his body has become frail, slow and unsteady. I noticed his hands/fingers seem swollen which leads me to think they aren't as nimble as they used to be. His hands were in my mouth for an hour on Monday and it was painful. FACT that I have learned the hard way.....the size of a periodontist's hands matter.
#2 - Start over with a new periodontist that offers the LANAP method. There isn't a lot to choose from unless I want to travel further.
Either choice includes that 3 hours round trip drive.
