I need a simple day, no Zooms, nothing on the calendar except maybe going to the river. Perhaps piddling around the house, stamping, perhaps a nap.
What makes a simple day at your house?

Hi! Thanks for starting us off today Twins' Mom!
A simple day would be just watering the garden and a long nap in the afternoon. I stayed up until 3 a.m. finishing a book. (Catherine Cookson~The Glass Virgin)
I want to sit inside in the air conditioning and stitch. Yesterday at knitting they had the opening of the Olympics from Paris on the tv. It was interesting. Very "French".

Good Morning!
Simple day for me is one that has no drama and is filled with opportunities. Bonus is days when I can be outside. A double bonus if those outside times include near sunrise and then before sunset.
DS15 comes home this afternoon so life as we know it returns to normal. We only have 9 days to get through until he turns 16 and can drive himself. We are almost there!!
DD13 chose last night as her one-night-a-week to not have internet/phone restriction. I got up a couple times during the night to check on her. She was awake most of the night and was still talking to friends this morning at 7am. She is sleeping now.

Was up early to start my day.. drank my coffee and did my morning routines. Put on my bathing suit and coverup and walked to the pool to join my friends for a walk-around. We walk and talk as we travel around the pool before the rush of people show up.
Walked home, jumped in my pool to cool off, got out changed into some comfy clothes and made my breakfast. Need to make a small grocery run, but first need to make out my list.
Twins… yes I finally got Einstein to work. Needed an additional step that was NOT listed in the instructions to connect to my phone app and WiFi. Called the company and they walked me through the process to make him work. After I get home from the store gonna find out just how smart he really is

Nancy… my new robotic vacuum cleaner. I named him Einstein because he mapped my entire house and now knows how to clean it while I sit with my feet up and read my book

A simple Saturday for me would be one where everything is caught up, and I can spend the day doing what I want. Whether that's gardening, crafting, writing.... That's not going to be happening this Saturday, though
So far, I've worked on decluttering stuff - taken apart a large but never to be finished crochet project (so the yarn can be donated to a local senior's home), and going through binders to empty them out and shred papers (headed for the compost bin). I suppose I should get moving on some "real" housework
- wash dishes
- clean off kitchen counters
- swish & swipe bathroom
- put/throw away 10 things from the dining room table

We had pork chops, zucchini and small potatoes with onions all done on the BBQ. The potatoes and onions go into a small black roasting pan with foil over the top with oil, butter and black pepper in the pan. Today I put a small piece of parchment paper on the bottom to help with clean up. It also kept the veggies from getting burnt.
