We swim!
Hoping there is very little adversity in our village households today.
I encountered a bit, feeling sick yesterday. But up and tentatively ready to rumble today.

Oh, I'm sorry. Did I put that song in your head? Pay it no attention. Just don't listen to it.

LOL, Harriet! Thought you were talking about the storms off and on that we had last evening. It was lovely that just kept hearing thunder rumble for several hours.
I slept in a bit because I read quite late last night. I shouldn't have, still have making that card OMM and dMillie is expecting a walk (Although dh took her earlier...)
OK, walk, then to upstairs.
Wow, Nancy. That is hot, I don't think I'd even go outside.

I am sitting in walkin clinic waiting room. It seems my rash has decided to double overnight. The intense itchy woke me up several times during the night. I am out of prednisone pills so it is past time to get professional medical care.
I am not a fan of the new self service checkin at this medical clinic. I asked if i could check in the old fashioned way by physically handing them my 2 insurance cards and they declined. They told me to use my phone to scan their code that was printed on a piece of paper and follow the instructions on my phone. . I tried doing it but after about 10 minutes i gave up. I dont want to learn how to do new technology stuff when i dont feel good.
I absolutely love self checkout at stores but i hate self checkin at medical place especially when i don't feel good.
An employee took pity on me and did my checkin for me.

I don't wanna swim as i am expecting the tropical storm Debbie to be heading my way! I don't think the winds will be a problem...just 40 mph..but we may get anywhere from 8-12 inches of rain. That has never been a problem at my home so I am not too worried about it, but know the streets around me will flood.
Yesterday I just felt off..sort of a headache, just a pesky one. I went to my exercise class, but didn't go to my coffee gathering. Instead I made a short grocery trip. I keep emergency food in my pantry, especially this time of year, so that's not a problem. I did get extra water, again something I keep well supplied. However I did fill up the car with gas. There were others who were doing the same thing. Ya never know and I have had alot of experiences with these storms. It's not expected to roll in until tonight, and I only listen to a fellow on my fb page that is really good at predicting storms. He's all about information and none of the hype which I really appreciate.
Yesterday I just surfed around my cable and watched whatever. Nothing really caught my attention and I am pretty much over the Olympics.
LadyM.. so sorry you aren't feeling well. Hate when that happens.
Nancy...Stay cool. I know what those temps are like especially with humidity.
I may run Einstein today, not sure. I am beyond bored at the moment. Need to find a good book to read.
Waving to yall...

Nancy I'm glad the temp is more tolerable today.
Texted a bit with dcousin J, grandmother of bride and dh and I will take her home after. She said the outside part is only about 15 or 20 min, and it looks like the high today will be close to, but not over ninety as it has been.
Hoping LadyM gets the rash straightened out.
I am checking for responses re: article, and regretting that I dashed something off so quickly. She's probably sighing over it and wondering how I ever became certified.
Will report card details over in the Artsy place!

Home from a trip to city for walkin clinic visit. Although I am not a fan of filling out all the forms using my phone, I did receive good care there otherwise. I am home with 3 prescriptions. Oral steroid 6 day pack, steroid cream and antibody cream. The doctor concern with the rash is the area in a fold on my stomach can easily become a sore leading to an infection. The skin folding together only happens when I bend over so the simple thing is - don't bend over.

The doc told me twice to keep the rash area dry.
Hum....I wonder if he was thinking about our daily triple digit heat that leads to sweat happening on a regular basis. I will be limiting my time outside in the heat of the day to reduce sweating until this rash clears up.
I wish I had asked about using Calamine lotion. I seem to remember that it goes on wet but quickly dries and removes moisture from rash. Hum....
While picking up my prescriptions I ordered a couple large pizzas from sam deli and brought them home. DS15 girlfriend is here today so the three teens will be fed pizza. Not healthy but loved by them.

Twins', perhaps that was a back-of-mind thought - we were doused again last night, too.
Ramblin', I saw that the storm closes in, and I wondered if you are already as soaked as we are. Here, we are always sobered by the memory of what Hurricane Hugo did to us because the soil around tree roots was already made vulnerable. It should have been "bad", yes, but it was devastating.
As I went through fabrics for potential baby bib (I may not feel well enough), there's a nursery rhyme fabric "Rain, Rain, go Away!" I thought, what if I included it to commemorate to the mother what a weather situation our area had at time of her shower.
No, I was not ready to rumble. No.
HRH found me in bed again later. So sapped of energy today - don't know why. Continue to feel as though I might have a fever but never do. Always on the verge of asking myself, "is this digestive?" but it never is.
Oatmeal at noon - only felt like eating half my usual serving.
((LadyM)), the whole point of a medical facility is to take care of the human, isn't it? Cards and forms literally have no medical needs, so putting the emphasis on super-duper good care of them becomes silly, IMO. And just think how competent you are, compared to others with poorer health, or eyesight, or language, those who have not kept up with technology as you have, etc. I am grateful you got good care when someone finally saw YOU.
Nancy and sister - what wisdom.
