I gotta get it done today - almost everything and anything that I hoped to do this week!
But the rest of you, please use as anti-procrastination day! Don't mind me, over here, quietly going mad with stuff on my brain!

I worked on the addition to the article yesterday most the day into evening. I think I said I cancelled workout appointment and am hoping to make it today. DH bowled last night so I worked until 8 or so, then read a bit before bed.
Made some changes to article this a.m. and send it off with apologies, told her I can Zoom anytime today except for workout. I need to be at hospital at five a.m. I'll s2s this evening so in the a.m. can get up and go.
Now, the rest of the stuff that hasn't gotten done. Beginning of a list...
-Workout
-groceries via Instacart
-post office, mail dd's package
-bank for cemetery (I'm expecting another check and keep thinking I'm justified in holding it because another is coming, but I need to do before surgery and get it done.)
-catch up on laundry
-reread instructions re meds, etc. and for for morning at hospital, put out id and insurance card for dh
-what else?

Great theme for today, Twins.
I, too, have to get going. My alarm to get dressed just went off (again, I've snoozed it 5x so far this morning!)
I haven't been totally lazy here but only a few of my objectives have been met since arriving on Sunday.
I brought up my stick vacuum which is both MUCH quieter and apparently more effective than the upright Hoover that's here. I hate to use the hoover because it is so noisy it physically hurts to use it. Once, on the porch, I could hear a loud machine running and realized one was being used to clean the cottage next to us. Given how quiet it is here, I prefer to use my 50+ year old carpet sweeper for crumbs and visible dirt, and only vacuum rarely.
Monday I dusted the whole cottage well and vacuumed the back 3 rooms of the cottage and Tuesday vacuumed front 3 rooms. I need to wash the floors but will put that off until Friday. I don't have good tools for that job. My landlord just cleans them on her knees. Obviously she's in better shape than me but I have found her knee pads and added them to the cleaning cupboard with my bucket and mop.
I had to empty my vacuum multiple times per room because it captured so much dirt. I guess I'll leave it up here for a while (and bring up my cannister vacuum in October so I can properly clean before handing this place back.)
I've also properly cleaned out the fridge. I inventoried the freezer last trip and have been working our way through that. It is overfull, mostly with bakery items (bread and treats brought by visitors.)
We've been eating well, aside from hot dogs our first night. I planned our meals and brought up the meat needed for each meal and have filled in the meal-planning calendar on the fridge door. Each evening I pull out the following night's meat from the freezer to thaw (and cross it off the freezer inventory list.) I'm hoping by tomorrow night there will be room for at least two water jugs in the freezer so I can freeze them for the weekend. We are traveling down to the edge of Toronto for a family event and I need the cooler for that trip, so I'll need ice.
Today I need to work on data entry and paper organization. And do my nails today or tomorrow in prep for the weekend.
It is a large extended family bbq organized by dh's sister and then we'll hopefully, the following day, we'll visit with my sister if she'll take the commuter train out to us. I was talking with her last night and she's very confused and not sure she wants to take come out since it means missing church. She is noticing her confusion over a lot of things and it was a very depressing conversation with her. For instance, she thought my (written text) invitation to come out for brunch with us was actually an invitation to pick her up and drive her up to the cottage and she was trying to figure out how to get back. While on the call with me, she realized I had not written anything like that at all (nor had I said we were going on a picnic with her, which was something else she had 'read' from my invitation to come out to brunch.)
I should also get a decent walk in. I did on Monday but yesterday was a slug.
There are rambunctious children in the cabin next to us this week and that makes us well aware of how much dgs3 (and the others) could be heard while he was here. Dh has been going to our neighbours and apologizing. Thankfully evenings were quiet with him and a nap each afternoon but the rest of the time he was loud and sometimes excruciatingly so.
Ok, time to go get dressed for the day and inflate the air mattress and possibly clean out the car with my vacuum.

Hi!
Just spent close to 2 hours out in the garage with a favourite customer of ours. He brought coffee for dh and an iced cappucino (sp?) for me. We just sit and yack. He just left, so now I need to get things done.
Kathryn will you be renting the cottage next year? It sounds like you have been really enjoying yourself there this year.
Dh is getting his feet done in less than an hour, so I had better go change the litter boxes. (She comes here, which is nice.)
No idea what we are having for supper.

We just sit and yack.
I love those kinds of moments. #Priceless
I am feeling 100000% better with mind clearing
(not taking Benadryl) and energy level returning. It has been a 13 day PITA dealing with this rash but I think it is finally ending. I still have 2 more days of steroids to take but each day get a smaller dose so the side effects are reducing.
Today is DS16 driving tests and then hopefully a trip to the tag agency to get his license. I have dreamed of this day for ???years??? I have definitely been looking forward to it. I don't know what it is like in other states/countries, but it is a total PITA to get a driving test in our state. Most locals leave home at 3am to drive to the next county office to stand in line. The office opens at 8am but if you aren't in line before 5am you won't make the cutoff. I opted to not play that game and to pay $100 to a private business to give DS16 his test. hum....it wasn't much of a choice for me when the options were get up at 3am and stand in line for hours with the possibility of getting to take the test or just hire someone and get it done. SUPPOSEDLY the state officials are going to improve this process because of all the complaints. Who knows if it will really happen. I just want to get it accomplished and DS16 legally driving. PLEASE bring on the next phase of my life where I am not driving teens around 5-7 times a day.

Someone to walk DDog if needed while you are recovering from the surgery?
(((((Twins))))) You have done incredibly well dealing with multiple surgeries. Hopefully this will be the final one and you will have full use of your wrist and hand.

Ah, thank you, LadyM! I think I bet I can text today and get a teen to do it midday for weekdays for a while. Dh can do it morning and evening as he did after prior surgery. Dfriend M did mid day when she could after prior surgeries too, but I want to give her a break! Oh, and if we're leaving 4:40ish in the morning, I'll get a teen to do it tomorrow a.m. We should be home mid to late morning tomorrow but dh won't to walk at that time of the morning, and she won't be fired up about going....
WTG on getting it figured out on drivers license testing. This state used to be pretty bad also, but it has improved. When I needed "RealID" and needed to renew my license I went to the next very rural county where it could be done by clerks at the little county courthouse. Took maybe 15 minutes there, and I had a super scenic drive on a pretty day.
Productive round. Roomba is going. Second load of laundry (towels) in washer. Towels can be back hung up, don't need to be folded so they go before items I have to fold. I realized I had to refill my meds containers too, so that is done. I'll skip adding to the ongoing list.
Another round to :15 before hour should take me through a.m. routine and dailies, except for later s2s after workout.

Litter boxes and 2 garbage cans were emptied before foot lady got here. When she left dh and I gave her a large shopping bag almost full with hot peppers, green beans, potatoes, tomatoes and cucumbers. She insisted on paying and we insisted that we never take money to give things from our gardens.
We will be having penne with meatballs tonight.
