Setting out snacks, treats, coffee and tea so we can wait for Twins' Mom to have her final wrist surgery.
What kind of business are you taking care of today?

Compost and recycling have been taken to the end of the driveway.
There are pots from last night to be washed.
I would like to do some outside stuff because it's so cool here. We have had a lot of windows open for the past 48 hours which included 2 nights with cool breezes going through the bedroom.
I would also like to tidy the shelves in the pantry.
I think we are having leftover penne for supper. Dh put a box of jello on the stove, and I have already made the jello. It's the yellow one, which I am not fond of, so he can have all of it.

I'll help myself to some of that tea and chocolate, Cathy, while I join you in the waiting room. Hoping for the best outcome for Twins. It has been a long road.
Speaking of long roads, Lucylee I think opening an MO thread for your progress is the perfect solution for you!
My sister is rambling on a call with me right now. Will be back later.

Good morning!
Cathy - Thank you for getting us started today and preparing the waiting room. ((((Twins)))
I am sitting in a house that contains ZERO teenagers.
I have not gotten into my vehicle a single time today.
DS16 took DD13 to school this morning for the first time ever and then drove himself to work.
Quiet and calm surrounds me.
***soaking it up****

Twins - Glad to see your CI. Sending good thoughts and prayers your way.
I am feeling like a homeschool failure. Day #1 has arrived, and I am not ready. I am 99% sure the public-school kids on the first day of school are just getting organized today and are not actually starting their curriculum. Maybe I am not a failure, but I am late getting my act together. I know the curriculum we are going to do this year but need to develop daily lesson plans for each of them and get the assignments on DS16 calendar.
LucyLee - I did see your story about DMIL. It made me smile. It sounds like she was a strong woman that walked her own path. I like that.
DH just put his hat on to leave the house. I asked where he was going, and he said he was going to go mow at the church. OH NO YOUR NOT because it is going to be 105 today. That would most likely be a death sentence for him to be working in this heat. ***sigh**** He took his hat back off, sat down in front of the TV and then told me that he doesn't remember how to operate the tv remote control.

Well today the TV is buffering downstairs and net-flicks not working again down stairs sigh.
Doing the reset thing now did not help.
Oh well I just had to check on it.
Up on time I have been journaling did qt.
Lucy I want to say I'm glad you are doing that course!
It is good for learning. This year is a big learning curve for you I think you can have a higher score on that category!
I did some writing glad to have that accomplished.
Getting in the habit and it is better now.
I found a mental health journal and got a good look at it got all the q.'s but one can figure it out.
Trying them on my pages this week.

DH is taking a small load of tires to the landfill.
LucyLee I do go back and read posts from the previous day, so your posts are being read by me. I think you are doing well. The first year will be rough, with all the firsts you will need to deal with, and don't worry, you can forget things and please don't feel bad when that happens.

Glad to see LucyL. posts that one made me smile about the moo moo.
Twins glad you let us know your are home now.
I have spun up my quota of fiber for today. Just three more days in the challenge but I am pretty
sure I will need to continue to finish up at this rate. I am just trying to add some type of crafting in
to my daily habits so it is a success in that respect even if I do not finish in the time frame that was set up.
Smoke is not coming from the best direction today drat it anyway.
Today feels like walking in molasses for me. Sigh oh well I am moving forward so that is good.
I did three daily's yea.
