I am typing one-handed - I'd forgotten how hard it is with a cast. And the back of my hand hurts where the "rebar" came out but I'm doing well. I'll need a shower today, thankfully still have the cover for showering.

We're going to friends' home for dinner tonight.

Twins - Thanks for the start today. It is good to see your CI and know that you are progressing in recovery. ((((Twins)))

Guess what? It is colder outside than it is inside our home. WEIRD!!
We keep our home thermometer set at 78 in the summer and it always feels cold when you walk inside the house. I know that most people would consider 78 to be too warm for inside temperature of a home but being 20-30 degrees cooler than the outside air makes it feel wonderful.
Today it is unfamiliar feeling as I walk in the door of our home, and it feels hot inside the house.
It is the same 78 degrees in our home that feels cold most days but not today because it is 70 degrees outside and raining. NICE!!

Hi!

I slept in until 10!! It's dh's fault. He has heavy blankets and he put 2 of them over me and I guess that it might have been the weight that made me sleep so long. I wasn't cold, but dh just has this habit of covering me with whatever is on the bed. I took my duvet off the bed and put it on the dresser part way through the night because I was too warm. We haven't had the a/c on for the past few nights.

Right now dh is cutting the grass. I have dishes to put away and a pot to wash from Thursday night.

DS16 girlfriend is here. In a perfect world we would all go out to eat as a family together later today but 3 of us don't want to go out to eat. (DH, DD13 and myself). So I am going to pay for DS16 and girlfriend to go out to eat like I would pay for their meals if we were all going together. Make sense? Probably not.

This morning was cool during my morning mile walk. I came home and told DH that it was cool enough for him to be outside. He immediately got on the zero-turn mower and went to mow at church. He was able to get about an hour of mowing done before it started to rain. DH was soaking wet by the time he got back home but he was SO HAPPY to be doing things outside again. #TreasuringTheMoments

My energy level is low today. I acknowledge my mental/emotional stress level has been high while dealing with DH memory loss the last several days plus I just ended 10 days of taking steroids. I am going to attempt to do as little as possible until my energy level returns.

We are having BBQed pork chops with a broccoli and cheddar cheese flavoured package of rice. Good enough when I wasn't sure what we would end up having an hour ago.

Dh is watching the Olympics. Possibly a basketball game. Not a sport we would normally watch, but football (CFL) isn't on yet.

I also cut up a bag full of plum tomatoes and a bag almost full or beefsteak tomato chunks. Plus I put the blackberries into a bag now that they are frozen.

I'm avoiding the dishes and the laundry.

I suggested some things for dd to do while home in recoup phase.
the list of prompts I put in the journey thread she loved.
She needed net - flicks idea I have given her plenty of those some dgdson would enjoy as well.
Some were on my not recommended list.  With a warning.

To rotate with a chore idea.
I 've lunched napped s2s happened, and watched a movie.
Boiled and peeled eggs.
Fed ddoggo let her out and in 2x LOL!
Felling better I might see if I can get the game NFL on my team is playing.

Did up a bit of spinning for my creative pursuit today as well.
I am enjoying my veg. soup for a snack today.

I put the clean clothes away after I took them out of the dryer. I started a new load in the washer.
I did some dishes, including some sharp knives that were too sharp.
I deep cleaned both litter boxes. I also carried in a new bag of litter from the garage. Got yelled at by dh.
I brought in the new bag of dry food and put it away. Got yelled at by dh again. I can do it just as well as he can. I buy the litter and the dry food and take it out to my car, but he wants to bring it into the house for me. They aren't that heavy.

I need to empty the dishwasher and refill and turn it on before I go to bed.

I've been told to stop working so hard and to "go sit down!!" So I'm sitting for a few minutes.

I have slept a lot today, but i have also spent about 50 minutes or so on yard work. It was a lot cooler here too! 85 degrees and not so humid. MUCH better than that “feels like 103” from a day or so ago.
Dgs and I went to Next Town for Chick Fil A, but now he’s asking for supper. Sigh. He’s at that age.

This constant sleepiness bothers me, but I know starting the day with sugary cereal was probably going to cause this.
