Not much to say for today. Typing still difficult for me and not sure what the day will bring.

What's up for Monday, Monday in the rest of the village?

Morning…

Another tough night, but headache is easing up. My home is so clean now that I’m using Einstein. I also have an electric floor scrubber that is making cleaning my home a breeze. Saturday when I used Einstein he went back to his home.. docking station… because his battery was low. My phone app said he was recharging his battery and then would finish cleaning my home. This is only the second time I’ve used him so I expected I would need to push the resume button after he was charged

Imagine my surprise while later sitting in my reading chair in my bedroom that I heard a rumbling and here Einstein came on his own. I watched him work as he zipped around the room and under and then out from under my bed until the room was clean. Then he stopped and said..finished cleaning is done and headed back to his home. Gotta love that “guy”!

Then yesterday I needed to quickly clean my master bathroom floor and was going to use my swifter and got out my floor mop instead. What a game changer … no messy bucket and it was just as quick as my other mop. Now I won’t dread mopping my floors any more. The cleaning pads washed up really well and my floors look amazing. There are several small areas the mop or vacuum won’t reach, but my little battery operated vac/mop will so it’s all easy peasy.

Good morning!

Twins - Thank you for opening the SHE village this morning.

RR - what mop are you using now?

Nancy - POTB You are making progress in getting things done.

I am back in public school/homeschool/teen work schedule. I have alarms set so nothing is missed but it is keeping me hopping to keep up. I went with plan b or is it plan c or it might be plan d....I don't know how many times I have modified homeschool curriculum already this year. What worked before isn't working now. Thankfully there are a gazillion options available so it is just a matter of finding the curriculum and learning style that will best fit our needs this year. I have this week completely planned with worthwhile learning while waiting for the new curriculums to arrive. I have never used this curriculum before so I am questioning my choice. It feels right but I won't know until we dig into it and see how DS16 learns. I don't want to just get through the classes so we can check off the state standards were accomplished, I want DS16 to really learn and be able to use what he learns.

Hi!

RRose isn't it great when house cleaning is easy!

All 3 major parallel roads are closed at some point today in our tiny town. Unless you know a back road to get around, it's not an easy day to drive around here today. I managed to go to morning knitting today but I'm not going anywhere else today unless it's an emergency.

Continuing on SLEEP thoughts from yesterday - Matthew Walker's book on the subject is amazing, and he has probably extended people's lives.
Also, sleeping positions - for digestion/sleep connection, it's not particularly news that sleeping on the LEFT side can have its place in helping us avoid awakening from acid reflux during the night. However, new evidence for sometimes sleeping on the RIGHT side is that the newly proven (5 yrs) Glymphatic Flow, meaning clearing of toxins from the brain, is probably best accomplished as we are sleeping, and more likely on our right sides. This is because most of us have right-dominate jugular veins. People used to think the brain couldn't clear toxins and now we know we do it every night and could possibly help it along by sometimes changing sleep position from our backs so that either right or left jugular can be open rather than partially collapsed.

I've been writing some notes for dr visit.

lucylee, I think just having someone to talk to eye-to-eye, who is not family, church, neighbor, etc., could be valuable to you. Btw, it's great to find out about ideas of plans and programs, but if they don't fit you, just put the info into your bonnet, use what you can, but move on to find concepts that are more helpful. If what you need is a better way to conceptualize and find comfort in your personal best life during widowhood, BUT are finding "how tos" on taking the world by storm and getting accolades, that's out of step with lucylee.

LadyM … it’s a Bissell Spinwave model 2039. It’s says it’s for hard floors … and I got it from Amazon. Some people use it on their wooden floors and some, like me, on their tile. The solution it comes with says for hard floors, but I mixed it 2/3 solution and 1/3 fabuloso

My floors dry quickly and don’t streak. It comes with a long cord so I don’t have to keep plugging and unplugging the mop as I go. My battery operated vac/mop is great but it’s not heavy duty and the battery life is only about 20 minutes so that’s not long enough to vacuum my floors. Basically I use it to vacuum my kitchen area after dinner and my two bathrooms that Einstein can’t do. He does vacuum my kitchen, but I only use him a few times a week and try to vacuum my kitchen and eating area most nights. My stick vacuum/mop is very light weight so it takes 5 minutes to do my kitchen and eating area.

I toyed with getting someone to clean my home, but with these tools everything is so easy to keep my home clean without a lot of stress. I’ve discovered a DYI solution for my shower door and the glass shower wall in my master bathroom….it’s 8 feet long…that has really made cleaning them much easier as well. I now also have a battery operating scrubber for my shower tiles. I absolutely hate cleaning those as well.

Right now my outside sliding glass doors are in dyer need of being cleaned, but the humidity is so high that I keep putting it off.

Well I talked myself into cleaning my sliding doors and tracks. Asked Sweetie to clean the top glass on the doors because he’s way taller than me… that way I didn’t have to get my step ladder out … I R smart sometimes

I was chopping a huge red pepper to cook in the pasta sauce I'm making. The knife was sharpened recently. Now I have a huge bandage on the end of my left thumb.
