Hi! Thank you for opening our village this morning LadyM!

Our septic system has been gurgling since last Tuesday when dh was prepping for his colonoscopy. It has been getting louder over the weekend and last night it was really bad. I put some baking soda and vinegar down the toilet last night and dh plunged. The sound seems to be gone, so hopefully it was just clogged a bit. Whew!! I hope we don't need to get the tank emptied, because there are just 2 of us here and we are very careful about what goes down the drains. Dh does admit that it was probably due to his prep last week. Fingers crossed that the baking soda/vinegar worked it's magic.

Other than that, I am heading to Walmart shortly.

Good morning

I woke up before the alarm went off. I briefly considered making myself stay in bed, but I was eager to get started on the day. I am claiming wins for ......Morning mile, personal AM, kitchen AM, kids woke and going.

Today is a slower pace day which I welcome the ability to drop down into a slower gear. Having to go all out can be exhausting so I need a break from the higher gear pace.

Next up -
** Take DD13 to school
** launch DS16 to work
** finalize homeschool lessons

Fall meals and menu ideas!
Squirrel Pot Luck in my back yard they brought their own hugs apple, I put squash seeds on a stump for them!
Maybe the deer left it who knows.
Cooking day here I have prepped a one pound package of hb meat some about half of it went in a meat loaf mixture
for stuffed acorn squash. I'm cooking that on the deck. Will freeze at least one of these for later one.
Cooked up scramble fashion some of it seasoned up for soup of stew maybe taco soup at some point, I will be freezing it after it's cooled.
Made a pressed hb patty to cook up later today. It was yummy ot of hb buns however used bread instead.
After crock pot is done I"ll do up the dishes.
I need to sweep & mop for my bwp Progress this week.
Still waiting on my coupons and the weather to cool off.

What are your fall fav. go to meals and menu items to cook up?

Cathy … you can use 1/2-3/4 cups of dawn down your commode …wait 15-30 minutes and then pour a boiling pot of water down it and it will help with clogs. You can also do it with your bathroom sinks

Good morning! A belated Happy Birthday to Nancy!

I have entirely too much driving on my schedule for today (really only two errands -- well, two and a half): DD has a dentist appt in an hour, so I need to drive her there and back. I should be able to grab some lunch before I have to take DC to their class then come home and take DD to work unless she decides to walk, though I suspect that she will want a little pampering after her dental work. DC has biology class and lab today, so they won't be done until almost 4; I might be able to get DH to do pickup if he's home early enough, although I think today might be board game club. It is definitely Scouts, so I will have to figure out something quick for dinner.

I should log on to the work computer and check whether there's anything new. AFAIK, I'm all caught up, but somebody else might have finished something and passed it along.

**********

Never finished this. Ran the various errands. Should ask DH what time he's coming home. Nothing on the work computer. I think, as long as I'm online, I'm next going to order some clothes. My underwear are getting ratty, and at least one pair of my leggings needs replacing.

I dealt with 2 DPCs. Glad they are finally done. I've been putting one off for far too long.

I also cut the grass in the back yard. Dh said he didn't think the front needed doing.

Supper will be brats, with fried onions and red peppers. Rice will be a side dish.

Put cooked butternut squash fries in a jar in the fridge to eat later.
Decoration I took down is in the shed now.
Dishes are in the sink.
Put a donation in the one rig, put ins. card in the other one.
Picked up a couple of small sticks I missed when I cleaned up the yesterday.
