Whale I can't tell you how lovely it is to see ALL of you again!!!

You know how when you go for a walk in the evening and you can see the lights on in peoples houses and may see flickers of family life going on as you pass by - I would do that here even if I couldn't walk in. (Someone named Blessedw2 locked herself out ) it was so hard not to be able to talk to you and tell you how much I missed all of you! I wish I could have been here for all of you as well! I am home and I am so grateful that I can walk home again to our SHE family!!! Thank you d Kathryn and d Harriet! D Lucy I just got your messages - I will write you soon. Thank you! Thank you for the warm welcome home! So glad to be here again!

Blessed!!! Waving a big hello to you!! It's so nice to see you!!!

I'm popping in before I start getting ready for church. We need to be otd in about 1 hour. Dh is off on a long bike ride; he still can't run long after foot surgery in June - but he's starting to try it out for short distances.

The weather is marvelous today - sunny, clear skies, forecast high of 71*F.

Being back at work has made life more busy - of course, but it's good. My next week has a lot of extras thrown in, as does the following week.

I went for a 3 mile jog yesterday so I'll probably try to go for a long walk in this beautiful weather. I also need to finish prep for class tomorrow and get clean sheets on the bed. I think we're feeding 8 for dinner tonight; we don't typically cook on Sundays, so we'll need to figure out if we'll do our standard bread and cheese (we stay GF for dd28 with celiac) OR if we actually cook something simple, like from the freezer. Or maybe grill chicken sausages. . . We'll figure it out.

Good morning! So happy to be home from the beach and find bw2 here! Welcome back! Bringing you up to date: I broke my wrist in April and have had three surgeries since, two to get plates/spanning plate into it, the last in August to take the spanning plate out. I now can move my wrist again and am ready to get back to whatever is normal here. I start PT for second time this week. (first time was with spanning plate still in to keep what mobility I could.)

So despite dh "putting a lot away" yesterday we have a bunch of unloaded stuff from the beach to put away/make right today. He has gone for a massage and then will go to Costco. He bowls tonight, so after a week of togetherness I have a little time on my own today. Dfriends were with us at the beach - I truly love them and don't get tired of them, but a week is enough with anyone!

I'm loving that the heat has broken here - lows this week in the sixties and this a.m. was into fifties. Makes me happy to have more moderate weather.

I need to get my second cup of coffee and get busy....

I have no desire to do anything today. Laundry just needs to be turned on. Dishwasher needs to be emptied. Plants need to be watered. Kitty litter needs to be emptied. Garbage needs to be taken outside. Nope, nope, nope. My inner brat is winning right now.

Welcome back Bw2~ So good to see you; wanted you to know that you have been missed!

I was sup by 5 today did my QT & journal stuff I've cut back on that some to make room and time for other things.
Some are a Sept. sewing challenge it is coming along I am still at the learning phase with the new projects but
that is good for my brain.

I've moved hoses to mow but grass did not really grow enough for that this month.
I watered in the back this morning it cool nice but smokey haze and unhealthy for sensitive groups outside.
We have fire watch weather advisory up & in effect today here as well.
So that is a bit concerning.

OMM:
I'm trying to keep stuff in the proper zones, like paper with that project area to be determined before next mo.
Basement for before day like and after dark as days get shorter I have a work table downstairs in the basement.
Books and journals not on the dining table challenging me to do that asap.
Keep my desk cleared off so I can actually use it better!

Good morning! Either this will be short and sweet, or I will finish it later, because we need to head to church shortly. I am doing the second reading today about showing no partiality towards rich or poor. I have persuaded DD and DC to join us!

Just got last night’s wash in the dryer. I didn’t wear the dress I wanted to wear for church because it’s too fancy to spend the day in when we get back, and I have nothing casual clean to change into. The dress I’m in is plainer, though I have dressed it up with a scarf.

We need to get going soon, so I need to round up the offspring. Have a great day, everyone!

We are home from church. I enjoyed every moment of it.

Chicken nuggets are in the air fryer. That is my default Sunday lunch meal when I don't have a plan for something else.

Cathy - is it this week when your DH will get the results of biopsy?

And the panic mode begins. DB and DSIL will arrive in Canada in 11 days!! It's really hitting home just how much needs to be done around here, and how much there isn't time to get done I suppose I can beat myself up about it since it really is my fault, or I can a least try to get things a bit less mortifying dreadful. I won't be able to get as much done today, since i go visit dMum this afternoon, but I'm going to have to use the time I have as productively as possible. First up:

- breakfast/morning meds
- put away clean dishes
- wash dishes
- go through two more totes downstairs
- dust living room furniture

Hello to Helia, Twins, Cathy, Nancy, & Mystery, LadyM, Bittersweet & all who stop by later

It is nice & cool in the house; no need for AC. Took advantage of that & my high energy level & spent time in the attic this morning, doing my annual clearing off of the attic table. Over the summer we run up there & drop things on the table to deal with later as it gets too hot to be up there for more than a minute or two. I'm also washing sheets & towels & getting lots of exercise running up & down attic & basement stairs. Dcat loves going up to the attic with me. She will roam around & then sit on the table. I've offered her a chair pad to lay down on but she's not interested in that & prefers to sit. When she wants attention she'll walk in front of me & stop so I can reach out & cuddle her.

We are on our own for dinner tonight & I'll have a tomato sandwich. Our local farm stand is closing this week & I sure will miss the tomatoes, corn, cucumbers, zucchini & watermelon. We also have leftover zucchini patties to heat up. I tried a new recipe that popped up on u tube using shredded zucchini mixed with an egg & spices, fried in burger patty shape in some olive oil & then adding mozz cheese to half of them & putting the other halves on top. They were so good. I'm going to buy several zucchini this week to shred & freeze so I can make these for the next several weeks. I scribbled the directions & ingredients (had to guess at some of the amounts & amount of time to cook the patties) on a piece of paper as I watched the short demo video. Knowing now that it's a keeper, I'll type it up & will post it here, too, in the recipe section.
