I have 3 hot spots to tackle. I really want the coat tree in the bedroom to get trimmed down to a reasonable size. All 4 hooks are full and I started to throw things up and over the top so I could wear them one more time because they weren't dirty enough to get washed, but they had been worn, so they didn't get hung up in the closet. Guess what, coat tree?? Today is the day you get tackled!

Smiling at Cathy's showdown with her coat tree.

Actually, this morning I have an appt so I'm just trying to get the necessary things done before leaving. Very disappointed that both the large apples we JUST bought are quite rotten in the middle, which is sad for both breakfast and budget. Trying to tell myself this overripe banana is an okay substitute. (I have riper ones, I'm just cheap.)

I really need to come back by pharmacy 1 after the appt, but don't have any guarantees that they will have processed HRH's script yet. Maybe I could call from parking lot before making the swing there.

Looking forward to coming back here for Tidy Up.

Thanks for the start, CathyS. Great goal to tackle the coat tree. Did you conquer it?
I hope the appointment is helpful, Harriet. Sorry about the apples. Ugh.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATHRYN!

Hmm... I worked a little on the quite visible hot spot of our MBR cedar chest. It's not completely put out, but it 's not raging like it was before.

Today is my most scheduled day of the week. Much of it is social time, actually. . .
9:45 - 12-ish get together with K, S2, and J
2:00 - 4:00 haircut in other town - including driving time
4:30 - 5:30 payroll: teach W D3 (an online class for employees of a company in UT)
6:30 - 8:30 or so, host Tuesday dinner for 7 - 8 people total

Yesterday was also quite scheduled (jogged at park, went to payroll 10:30 - 2 - including lunch, coffee with friend SS 2 - 4:30, grocery run, dinner) --> so I'm not prepped to teach this afternoon. I think I'd like to get that done if possible before I head out to J's house for our weekly friend get together. I can also sit and prep at the get together; they're that kind of friend group. Love them!

Happy Birthday Kathryn!

I am on my 4th hour of today. Tidying done -
** trash to the road. Our amount of trash this week is easily doubled than normal. Decluttering has resulted in more trash and another load of STUFF ready to take to our favorite charity store.
** Floors swept
** Vehicle cleaned out when I came home from taking DD13 to school

Dove - Thank you for posting that recipe!

Bed is made, with help from Baby Cat. (If the blankets are moving, she declares war on them, and her back legs start with the bunny kicks while she is busy biting the rest of the blanket.) That took a while... She is currently in the laundry basket that we keep a blanket in. I refer to that cat bed as the crib. She always settles down and goes to sleep in that particular spot.

Floor of the pantry was a giant hot spot and now it has been cleared and swept. There were 4 large shopping bags full of pantry items to be put away from last week.

Bathroom and kitchen garbage have been taken outside. Clean litter box has been put in library. Can you tell I'm avoiding the tree of doom?

My schedule for today is easy -
** 9:30 IEP meeting at school for DD13. She continues to qualify to meet weekly with Speech-language pathologists (SLPs) through the IEP. DD13 has made tremedous progress but still struggles with a couple sounds. She knows how to position her tongue to correctly make the F sound but she continues to use the TH sound instead. One of DD13 talents is being on stage giving a performance, speech, and singing so being able to speak clearly is important.
** 11:30 Elderberry luncheon. I am not sure DH will mentally feel like attending this. He is doing okay with normal things but gets easily overwhelmed when in a busy or social environment. This month theme for the luncheon is food that starts with an S. I have 4 foods ready to take if we decided to attend. The teens will make sure the subs, strawberries, sour cream chips and sausage pizza will not go to waste here if I don't take the food to the luncheon.
** 3:30 - pick DD13 up from school.
** 6:00 - K's volleyball game

Homeschool with DS16 will happen after he gets off work and before he goes to girlfriend game today.

Can you tell I'm avoiding the tree of doom?
This brought a smile to my face that I am not alone. I sooooooooo understand.

School called and we have rescheduled the IEP meeting to next Tuesday. They gave a loooooong explanation why. The short version is the state requirements have changed so they need to transition DD13 to something different.

Lol to this! I think my house is on fire, hot spots, you know. They're everywhere! What a great idea to tackle one or more. Might do purses/closet. Most my purses I keep up high but I'll pulled purses down and not put them away. Need to get on a stool and put away, rearrange, take stock. And there was something mysterious at the back of the shelf where I keep my backpack and computer bag, and I can't see it without the stool. I know, I have a thing about purses and perhaps can even purge some. I've already changed over to a more autumn purse - delicious teal/dark blue leather with an orange lining!

Another hot spot by the front door - so many things I never did this spring/early summer because I was recovering. Need to assess hats/scarves/gloves and purge if I don't have mate to gloves or if ragged. Because we walk the dog from the front door these things live there, and in the summer I also have baseball caps and hats for summer walking. It's a tangle right now.

I could go on....hot spots galore, Cathy!

I have body work at 11:30 today, just enough time to come home, have snack and go on to workout at two. Before, in between or after:
-wash car
-go by temple and pick up bills, etc. for the cemetery
-drop off amazon return at UPS store
-take shred stuff to UPS store (one trip, get it?)

I've walked ddog, right now I need to s2s and have breakfast. I'm getting off track.... (who me?)
