Fulfilling Friday PWYC

The meaning of FULFILLING is providing happiness or satisfaction.

I am thinking of Lucylee's thoughts last night - I don't know how one finds that fulfillment after losing a husband that was bigger than life.

I'm on the move early, need to have my car to dealership at 9:15 and still need a quick shower. I've walked the ddog a mile, sheets in washer. Earlier laundry was hung to dry already. I can do this when I have to.

Thinking of LadyM today for dental surgery....I'm in a real waiting area here at Honda place and we'll have a little virtual room online. Pastries, fresh coffee? Anyone? and fruit!

Good morning!

LucyLee - The phase of life that you are going through has so many challenges. I think you are doing awesome as you take it one step at a time.

Construction crew is here again working on the bathtub/shower project. I think....I hope....floor & walls are perfectly level and aligned now so they can proceed. This project might be finished today.

I woke up to an annoying beeping. I walked through the house trying to locate the source of the noise. Eventually I walked outside to find the aerobic septic system light flashing and alarm doing its job LOUDLY to alert it has a problem. It took me three trips with flashlight to finally figure out how to turn the alarm off. I called the septic company and left a message for them to check it out.

I will be leaving in 30 minutes for the much-dreaded periodontal surgery. I am looking forward to being back home in a few hours. I suspect the dread of it is worse than the actual surgery.

hello d twins I wish you and everyone a fulfilling day as well!!!
thank you for the start!

d lady thinking of you!

d Lucy I also think you are doing "awesome"

Hello everyone!!! I love being able to say that.

-----
something I have to work out: you don't have to read but putting it down helps me start problem solving.

dh and I are going through a new growing faze. I figure with struggles, there is growth. Since he found out that he will be getting a Montgomery trac he has been starting to feel independent; which is a good thing but also that he tends to forget that we all want him to be independent and support him. It worries me that he may have a fall soon bc the new trac may not be what he hopes. He really builds things up. I hope it works the way he wants.

He still doesn't get that he can't expect I or any of us to ask him permission to do things. He still has not addressed his rudeness to dd younger and he needs to work that out with her. He is a little - I am right - and everyone has to adjust to what I want in the moment. He just won't work it out and thinks everyone else is wrong. dd older thinks it's a faze and dd younger is saying "nope" . I will have to figure this one out. Respect has always been very important to me. I will have to figure out how he is seeing things to see what's underneath.

dinner yesterday was lovely but it I just couldn't wash the pots and pans. That will be first. (after mom)

Mojo: for tasks what I do.
2-3 min. scramble what can I get done in a room in that amount of time. before my show comes on or reading time, or with children in the house to help with their stuff.
I use theme days / desk day / home blessing hour I break down in to like vac. one one day mop a diff. day. / Also setting the timer. I do sorting of papers while talking to my dsis on the phone.
I try to do chores and tasks early in my day when I have more energy.

Yesterday I mowed the back was going to be done rested a bit and then remembered Freeday Fri. I did not want to do it then so finished it in the afternoon.

Using my classes / podcasts for like a timer to listen to while spiffing the counters for example. I have started doing one or two things in the evening time if I did not get to it during the day. I do give myself stars on my to dos and stickers too!

I am up and did a few things today did not get up till after day lite.
Mailed a letter I prepped yesterday after the mail came.
One thing I read in a book was think how I"ll feel once that task is done.

I need to decide where I will put my seeds I have saved.
Enjoying my fall crocus blooms this morning when I did my morning walk around.

Hoping LadyM is well and maybe even home by now, glad to have that finished.

Hoping the adults in the In Canada family have had improvement like the young.

I am waiting for a callback from the dr's office. Just have to tell them - still coughing and still dependent upon OTC meds. Sigh. Didn't sleep well last night, partially because of that. Yet I feel I must stay up and stare at phone. Receptionist said it would only be a couple hours and its past that. I wonder if she knows how the nurses work, really. I'd be surprised if they can even get dr's attention to this before midday.

HRH went to mailbox for me and other nearby errands I usually wouldn't hesitate to do myself, just because the phone might ring. He has reminded me that it is Friday and over the weekend it will be too late to get my own dr's advice.

lucylee, the timer idea from Nancy might help on some things. Also yes to putting stars in your planner, or stickers, checkmarks, smiley faces, rubber stamps. Buy more of those as a reward for using the timer a few times. About spraying RoundUp - postpone that task FOREVER. Find other ways to get rid of weeds that don't have television lawyers suggesting you call them after you get sick.

hello!

I finally cleaned and sharpened my good inside scissors that I also use outside. (my sewing scissors are good - lol NO ONE is allowed to use those 8-) )
we got rain in the early morning!!!

set up d mom's meds and dd younger will go there soon. I ordered and sandwich and soup for her - she didn't wake up until 11:30 am - she was exhausted from yesterday's adventures. I will pick her up at 2-3 pm and dd older will bring her home at 8:30 pm.

today: pick the surprise pumpkin that grew this July - when dh and mom are here. dh is so proud of "his" pumpkin and veggie garden. I cared, watered, fertilized everything and dh is just loving the idea that it is his garden ;) . The pumpkin was planted by the seeds from the pumpkins that went splat last November (I didn't throw them out fast enough) (first I thought it was a squirrel but I remembered I let the pumpkin go flat with gnats. 8-)

next dishes.

hello d Nancy hello
yay on getting the back mowed.
great idea of using your podcasts and classes as a timer. great idea. oh I like starts for stickers too. I haven't done that for a while.
have a great day too

watched Acre homestead making apple cider donuts

: dishes dh is doing - I had said I could do it but I wanted to get the laundry put away. Right now I am walking on eggshells around him so I am hoping that I won't have to pay later for him doing the dishes. Hopefully, my words got through to him but right now I have no idea which way the wind will blow with him.

next right thing fold and put away my laundry :D done.

trash run.
