What do you have scheduled for today?
Is it to mop up everything that got put off during the week?
Is it schedules weekend events?
Do you even schedule anything on Saturdays, or do you play it by ear?

I'm in the mop-up camp, along with needing to load my childhood desk into the car to take to DC. Then, if there's any time leftover, I will spend it cleaning up the space where the desk was sitting and find a way to minimize all the cable that were running behind it and are now in full view. And fix up the panel under the window (the paint has peeled off, as it does when latex is put over oil paint, revealing turquois) and the crumbling plaster plinth at the bottom. I'll cover the panel with vinyl contact paper, left over from the kitchen counter covering, and possibly cover the plinth as well.
I need to order something from Amazon to cover the cables.
I unloaded the desk drawers and took them out last night. The desk is pine so very light but it is exactly the same size as my wagon so I can't load it into the wagon (I'm not about to try given there's less than 1/2 inch of leeway and it would be really awkward. We have a dolly in the storage locker I'll bring up to move the desk to the car. The drawers can be piled in the wagon and taken down in that load.
But first I have to get up. My neck was really sore last night but much better this morning.

Morning…
I slept till almost 9! Something I never do. However I read late…11.. and slept in my guest bedroom. I love it in there. That’s because it’s a much darker room at night and it is cooler than my MBR because the a/c blows directly on me. Sweetie said he checked on me this morning and I was burrowed under my blankets.
Harriet… my sons family is from the K-town area and have lived there or up the west side of the Smokies for many generations. Never heard a story from any of them about floods as bad as it was the other day. I read there had been floods at one time but that was around the 1840’s.
I am deep cleaning my guest bathroom which is the one I use. When Sweetie showers in our MBR he steams it up so bad it’s like a sauna. All my other morning routines are done and there are no footprints left to pick up.

I've been up a couple of hours. The kitchen counters are cleared of debris except for some utensils to put away. The rest are in the dishwasher (which is running) so I'll pick and choose what stays in drawer in kitchen and what gets put away for when I need extras. My appointment for vaccines is at 12:30. When I read the email yesterday I found I had rescheduled in a different store, not the closest, so I had to reschedule again and I'm at 12:30 now. I have an alarm set for myself.
We had a lovely dinner out - it was nice seeing this 1960s building, which used to be an exclusive men's club. Just looked up and the first woman wasn't admitted as a full member until 1992 and although a Jew was among the founding members, I understand the first one in modern times wasn't until perhaps 1970s. (couldn't find stats on that....) And dinner was wonderful.
Need to eat something before I go.

That sounds best, RR. His decisions and you don't have to intervene, thankfully.

Kathryn - Thank you for the start today. BWTG on sharing your furniture with DC.
We are taking it easy today with nothing on our schedule. I like to have a 24 hour period of time available after taking flu shot in case someone has a reaction to it. DD13 and I have a sore arm but otherwise we haven't experienced anything unusual.
DS16 had friends here late last night working on pickup brakes. They can't find the problem. I'm not happy because of the location that they decided to work on this pickup. They are on "my" side of the circle driveway. DS16 knows he is supposed to keep his vehicles on the other side of the driveway which leads to the shop. ANYway, his pickup in front of our home up on a hydraulic jack with various pieces of parts, wheel/tire, tools etc laying around the driveway. I can see some sort of fluid underneath the pickup that has stained the driveway. ***argh*** I didn't talk to DS16 about this blunder before he went to work this morning, but it will definitely be a topic of discussion when he gets home from work.
