Good Morning!

Twins - Thank you for opening the SHE village today.

I'm on the 3rd hour of my day. It has been mostly smooth sailing but a few rough patches. While I was taking DD13 to school the neighbors behind us called to let us know that Tomas was out having an adventure. DS16 drove near Tomas and opened the pickup door. Tomas jumped in and was brought home again. At least Tomas is easy to bring back home with no leash needed.

Today doesn't have any extra things on the schedule. We just have the normal = public school, homeschool, DS16 working, keeping everyone fed and all the plates spinning.

I'm finding places for the water jugs I filled. This week prepping for the furnace duct cleaning.
I've checked what's by the vents and moved some things side table, nite stand, lamp etc.
So they can get to it easier. Embarrassed by the piles of stuff to deal with when I can use the fire pit but...
it is what it is. I will need to remember to move the truck out of the way so that they can get in and a few things in
the carport for easier access in a bit when it's warmer than in the 40*'s.

I slept well and was up at 5:15 or so dark out.
I"m good on my steps so far today.

I'm up to 666 days of exercise in a row!

Waving to all of you.

my plants are dying - no rain and no watering - I should be out in the garden but I can't get out there.
I don't like chaos in the garden - it's my happy place and now it went ***poof*** into weeds, grass, dying plants and drying out bushes etc. Oh my!

d mom - they don't know why she was how she is. her bloodwork, ct was fine, no infections but she is not drinking enough - they didn't give her saline bc there is a shortage of IV bags  She definitely is low on fluids -very dark -"ur-in (too much information I know) her being alone at all allows her to not drink water/fluids -she can fight me to be alone - but no more than two hours at a time.

Thank goodness dd's are good with mom - dd younger spent the whole night with her and woke mom up. this morning - lol that was a challenge - she doesn't let mom push her away and doesn't take what mom says to heart. Mom tried but dd younger has a wonderful sense of humor - a smart gentle humor that lets her move forward with mom and no matter what mom says will not stop dd from taking care of mom.

We all agreed that mom must have been a stinker to her sisters/brothers - and that she must be feeling better.

Yesterday dd told her that she needed to finish the water before dd went to bed. Mom said "all you care about is this water bottle" "you don't care about me" - dd told "yes, that must be it" dd smiles at her and doesn't take let mom deter her from caring for her.

I can learn a lot from my girls. I am grateful for them!

have a great day everyone - stay safe everyone!

time to start!

I just realized that when my grandmother (my mom's mom) was close to passing she started to sleep all the time. I thought she had given up bc mom had her still in that Alzheimers unit bc my grandfather had Alzheimers and my grandmother knew he needed her. Once he was gone she was lonely and I thought she had given up - I thought that living with family would have extended her life. Now I am not so sure - watching mom needing sleep all the time. I am wondering if mom is reaching that time. Where her body just needs to sleep all the time.

I will talk to the girls/brother - of what I wonder is going on.

My goal is to have faith - lead with a kind heart -

I'm dragging a bit today.
Had to get up earlier than usual -- book fair at elementary school with dgd.
After that, I went by dbil's office and gave him the check for his portion of ticket sales for ballgame a couple weeks ago.
Went to post office, talked to ds on the phone, checked in with my dbro in FL, sent "thinking of you" text to dfriend -- widow of the band leader who was buried a couple weeks ago.
Put a load of towels and underwear in the washer before I left.

I already need a nap.

With Milton hitting Cat 5, Ramblin' and her sweetie, son's family, are on our minds.

Back on the 26th, when I was pondering about our villagers regarding Helene, Ramblin' answered:

Harmony is about 25 miles north of me. She should be experiencing the same type of effects from the storms. Dee’s family is closer to Tampa

I have an 11:30 appointment with the gastroenterologist's office, and 2 p.m. appointment for PT. It was hard for me to get up this a.m. after sleeping later over the weekend. Glad I didn't nap yesterday because would have been hard to sleep last night.

I walked ddog two laps and I'm eating my breakfast/brunch. The Roomba is going.

---------------

And much later. I'm coming through for lunch. Colonoscopy is scheduled for 14 November.

After my PT this afternoon I need to go by temple and pick up CASH (almost 5 grand) that someone paid for a cemetery plot. I have a deposit ticket ready and will take it straight to our downtown bank. I also need to stop at pharmacy and pick up scripts including the prep stuff for the colonoscopy.

On the run again to PT. I've had the roomba going but it got stuck while I was out, so it's been restarted.
