Solving Sunday

Homemakers are solvers.
What are you in the midst of solving this weekend?
On the big whiteboard of your household theories
, what are the equations?
Kathryn finished a jigsaw puzzle and even verified how many pieces are missing.
Cathy handled plans for the holiday, making her way past clueless grocery shoppers.
blessed is deftly handling the care of her mother and delegating.
LadyM knows exactly how many hours are left in the stages of her prescriptions.
We hope you are coming up with Eurekas and VoilĂ (s) all over the place.

Thank you for starting our day in the village today Harriet!!
I hit the ground running today. Only because I got lazy yesterday. Dd and her SO are coming for lunch. They are dropping off some stuff (I think) and they are also buying lunch. (Possibly Indian food)
I've had my shower. I don't like morning showers, but it is what it is, right...
Some clean dishes got put away. I also washed some other dishes, but last nights pot and pan are still waiting. (We had meatloaf and boiled potatoes.)
So far the bathroom and kitchen garbage is out. Toilet has been cleaned. One floor has been mopped. There is a load in the dryer that will soon be ready to be put away, just waiting for the buzzzzzzzz...
I think I just have to do the cat litter box and some more floors, along with last nights pot and pan.
Apparently dh watched tv until 3 a.m. so he is back in bed.
Later...
Almost everything is done. I'm not happy. They will have their dog with them. Their dog chases anything that moves. (Squirrels and cats) Dh isn't happy. I can't say anything because they are taking the dog to his parent's place after they leave our place. Now we have to shut all 3 cats into our bedroom with food, water and litter box. Thankfully they all have their hiding/sleeping place in the bedroom. So far only 1 cat is in there already sleeping, and blissfully unaware that there will soon be a dog inside the house. Sigh...

On my personal retreat weekend /
I have been purging planners and solving the delima of do I really need the out dated unused calendar
will I really use it or not? So those are out of some planners.
I've updated the progress and put a wins for the year page
of top 1-2 wins for for the season that felt great.
Up @4:15 today but seemed to need it for the planning
and updating sewing planner for example.
Had too much pepperoni in various foods and had tummy upset yesterday.
Glad to solve that mystery.
I thawed & prepped chicken & boiled eggs yesterday so I do not have to cook unless I want to
I can just mix up the chicken salad sans. stuff for with a spoon or on a bun.

Lost a post when I rebooted my computer without thinking.
Short version: I slept in. Yesterday was a long day. We were probably home by 7:15ish after the break the fast. Too many carbs as usual!
Now....
Just walked dMillie and she went after a neighbor's dog. I was startled when she bolted and I dropped the leash and she went, growling and barking and snarling. Neighbor fended her off and I caught up and got her. But embarrassed at her behavior.
Dh is watching TV. I'm hoping for a quiet day. At least I don't need a nap today.

Well, most of that last post was all for nothing. They are now coming tomorrow. They got onto the highway just south of where they live and the ETA would have been in excess of 3 hours to do what is normally a 1 hour drive. I guess everyone is headed out of Toronto and coming to Niagara. There are numerous fall fairs this weekend in our area, and 2 massive craft fairs just east of us. One has been going for 50 years and the other for more than 25 years.
Oh well... the house is clean and I will start cooking our Thanksgiving supper at around 2:30 to get the scalloped potatoes into the oven for 3. Everything else goes into the oven at 4. Cranberry sauce is out of a can this year and the stuffing (just for me) will be out of a box and done on the stovetop.

Chicken Soup Sunday Turkey for those in Canada.
For any & all who need and / or want it.
I was watching a yt vid. yesterday and she had that on her plan!
Gotta luv that solution!
I have 2 loaves of bread rising in the oven.
Chicken egg mix is ready for the mayo. etc. that is done now.
I got a bag seamed up this morning yea for sewing progress.
This one was mostly to get the thread lenths the way I want them.
PJ's cut off now to remark & pin the hems for those 2 pr.
----- CI
Finished knitting a dish cloth.
Hems are pinned ready to press and double check and try on before doing any actually sewing.
I have forgotten how many steps there are to doing this! LOL!
* Point of Interest / I did not make these just hemming store bought ones, they are not as thick of fabric as I like. sigh...Jus sayin'
I need to get dressed in a bit and will walk ddoggo later only 57* outside now.
I hear a wood pecker shrill call outside in one of the trees.
Walked the loop then came inside had lunch took a breather then went around the block to finish it up after that.

Nancy, some times I think I'd like to sew again and then I think about hems and marking and details and I don't have the patience I'm afraid. Not sure I'd enjoy it but I'm happy for you that you do enjoy it. You have such a range of activities going.
I watched the BCG zoom of the board meeting for 1.25 hours and they took a break for lunch, so that I was it. Dh and I went to the local open air market (with a big foundry sized cover) and walked through. Interesting stuff but we don't need more "stuff." I had a cold beer and pierogies. Back home and I need to walk the dog. I'm hoping I can get around the block w/o seeing her triggers. I need to consult with dog trainer at this point.
====
back from walk, with out incident. A cat was spotted and caused some excitement however.

The ddoggo & I are both clean.
I have to hem all pants b/c I am short! I do not always want raveled edges LOL!
I do not always enjoy it but if I do it in small bits it's not so bad.
And if I do it early in the day that seems to work better for me.
Kinda like bathing the dog timing is everything, afternoon for that.
When she is not as wound up.
