An ideal start, blessed.

Nancy, you are a vision in red plaid.

Did you know that many shepherds in the Middle East for thousands of years back were women? In fact, that's the case in a lot of societies. We have a slightly skewed "picture" in our minds of those very humble folks, if we always "see" men. Some may even have been carrying babies in close, cloth slings, or have been multitasking additional chores like mending, and churning Smen (sheep's milk butter) by shaking it or hanging it from a hip as they hiked.

May you see yourself today in the first humble hurriers - as shepherd-ers who will always rush to greet and always return with praise.

I love it, Harriet!

Quiet morning here except for "Shark Tank" on the TV. I guess it could be worse. Quiet day, I may stay in pajamas all day if I can. We're out again this evening. I really did not plan ahead enough for wonderful salad makings to take but it will be what it will be. The salad isn't the highlight of the meal anyway. Dfriend last night had a wonderful salad made from the premade smaller Trader Joe's salads. They had a greek salad, a southwestern salad and something else, and then added pomegranate seeds to it. Lots of smaller, varied additions to it w/o buying a lot of different ingredients.

Today I need to get the electrical cord and timer out to the Hanukkah menorah on the porch, and finish the anniversary card I started yesterday.

Ah, TV is quiet now!

Dh let the cats out this morning and I slept until almost 9!!

We called dh's mom and sister. They got their cards yesterday! Canada Post was being deceitful when they said nothing would get to where it needed to be before Christmas.

Dh and I had a delightful Christmas Eve night and Christmas morning. Very quiet. I didn't have to do anything last night or this morning. Dishwasher needs to be turned on after I hit submit on this post because clean dishes to eat a meal on would be a good thing. LOL!!

I could flip the laundry that I turned on before going to bed last night.

We had a good breakfast this morning so now we can both indulge in treats if we want to. I'm trying very hard to stay out of my goodies.

Shepherdess Word of the day! Thanks Harriet for that info.

It is so foggy you can barely see across the street here now.
So glad we do not have a gathering of family today.

Made my Cmas bfast.
Called my dsis we had a good visit she loved the devo. I ordered for her told her to wait till today to open it.
I knew her other one was falling apart. Suggested one for our 90 yo. aunt.

I have left overs for lunch and a plan for dinner.

Waving how is your weather?
