Mindset Monday PWYC

Post by Twins' Mom »

What's your mindset these days? Positive? Negative? Ambitious? Donwanna? Git 'er done?

Perhaps a visit with your PWYC neighbors will encourage a better mindset today for our roles as household executives! Sharing our trials and challenges, triumps and wins is always good for our souls.

Hi!

I hope I didn't scare you guys too much yesterday when I said "Minus 2". I forgot to change it from C to F. Does 30 degrees F sound better? If Blessedw2 only has 16, then it's much colder where she is.

This morning I was taking a break and sitting in my library stitching and I heard dh softly say "Cathy there's a problem in the kitchen." So I got up to check. He's standing in the middle of the kitchen and he points to the island and said "Where did this come from?" We both laughed. I cleared it off a bit yesterday and more this morning. I told him it came with the house. He said "We could put stuff on it!" I told him that was the problem, because I put so much stuff on it. We both agreed that it looked very nice.

I'm heading to the Monday morning stitch group. There will be discussion regarding the football game and also current events in the US. One of the ladies has all of her family in the Buffalo area, so she roots for the Bills and after more than 60 years here, she considers herself Canadian with an American family.

In "Outdoor Spaces and Gardens" (just under Healthy Habits), our new "The 2025 Village Gardens" thread is up and available. Thanks, blessed for reminding that February is the time for many of us to start thinking about our outdoor spaces.

Twins', I guess that thought of spring coming and opportunities to have garden happiness does put me into a positive mindset. Can't imagine doing much now through earliest April, but spring always comes.

Today, just got to get through this blood work appt mid-day and I'm free for a day before the marathon later in the week.

Cathy, HRH often teases that someone must have robbed us when we can see surfaces again. I hope your stitching group is a comfort and release for you today.

I wrote this in 2002. It serves as a reminder of what is important to me and how I want to live my life.

My Personal Mission Statement
I am passionate for God’s will & direction in all matters
I show integrity in all relationships
I am courageous and confident, having no fear of earthy events or persons
I give so much effort to the improvement of myself that I have no time to criticize others
I remember and thank those who have helped me. Return their kindness to others that need it.
I live life to the fullest and strongly believe that nothing is impossible.
In everything I do, I shall give my interest, my enthusiasm, my devotion, my love, and most of all, myself.

Public school is in progress. Homeschool is finished for the day. DS16 has left for work.

Next up - Daily tasks.

I'm working on the DAR DNA course. I find it deadly boring, which is why I'm still working on it at the last minute. It's due on Thursday. I'm 53% of the way through it, but I did the first 40-something percent in one sitting of three or so hours. But it's deadly boring. I'd do anything here to procrastinate on it.

I still need to s2s, and go to workout at two. I'll stop at the bank on the way home for HOA deposit. Two more checks, not in today's deposit rec'd this a.m.

Up to 76% completed. Last two modules were easy. Still trying to procrastinate.

Twins - YGG!

A dozen chicken breast tenderloins and half of the shrimp bag out of the freezer to thaw. I will cook them later.
