Last Monday already? In some ways it seems like February just started. Time goes by quickly.
My day is off to a good start. Absolutely normal with no drama or surprises. I love these types of days. I didn't need to scrap ice off the windows this morning. DD13 was ready to leave for school before the alarm went off. DS16 and I worked on some homeschool lessons together that he was struggling with. It didn't take long to get him going on his own again. I cooked my favorite breakfast using mostly whole foods (potatoes, eggs, ham, onions, bell peppers, apples, raisins). And maybe best of alll....I have been to the garden 3 times!
Our refrigerator is almost bare of ready-to-eat foods so that will be a priority today. I have no idea what I will be cooking. I will go to pantry and freezer to start grabbing random ingredients and see what happens.

LadyM to me, February has gone on far too long. Almost as long as January. There have been days when we didn't even go outside due to deep snow and ice between here and the garage. The top of our cistern is still under snow. I saw the bricks on the patio yesterday for the first time in a couple of weeks. Add that to the massive drifts between the house and the woodpile, and I would gladly move back into an apartment. A local told me this morning that this is the worst winter our town has seen in many, many years. She has lived here over 60 years.
Today the wind was so bad that my glasses got blown off my face. Thankfully I caught them. People are outside walking even with the wind because the streets and sidewalks are clear enough to do that.
It felt weird walking into the house after knitting this morning. No dirty dishes anywhere! The only thing I noticed is that the litter box needs to get cleaned, so off I go to do that.

Home from haircut and made myself the omelet half of breakfast. I only had fruit and ricotta cheese before I left. Dh came through - he had a doctor appt at ten so was eating something and regrouping before going back to work. Ddog is enjoying the sunshine outside - high going to low 60s today. ''
I'll need to leave in about 1.5 hrs for workout. Need to finish a.m. routine and reboot laundry I started earlier.
And I left this sitting, so ADHD. I've finished a.m. routine and arranged flowers from grocery store on Saturday. Three bouquets, Gr room, breakfast area table and a few small, cut off short chrysanthemums by the sink. Took out Valentine's flowers to trash - they were gone but saved three stems of forsythia that were inexplicably included with red roses. Oh, and I've let the dog in and out about a hundred times.
Roomba is going. I did removal of bath rugs and laundry room rug and waste baskets etc. so it can do its thing.
We had a lot of rainy days in February and one very small snowfall. I'm ready for warmer weather! And daylight savings time is only two weeks away. I hate the spring forward part because it cuts into my sleep and I'm not an easy early riser but I do like having more daylight in the evenings.

((((Mystery))) You are in my thoughts and prayers today. Hopefully you will be able to CI and let us know. NO pressure though. Just concerned about your surgery and recovery.
Cathy - You are a strong and resilient SHE! Hopefully you will get a break in the snow and wind.
I am using a timer today to keep me moving forward. So far it is working well.

Here it is a very few hours later and TA DA!! My cistern lid has magically reappeared AND so has most of my patio and even some driveway!! It's actually almost warm. We are in the high 30's F, which is less than 10C. If this keeps up I might have to take off my thermal undershirt!

Low sixties and sunny here. Great evening to be grilling.
Workout was great. I did some rounds where I did 45 seconds on a machine or exercise, then 1 minute on treadmill, then repeated with another machine/exercise and ended up doing four or five machines that way and did all that twice. Then some legs and core and repeated that.
On the way home I had to get gas, meant to do it this a.m. when I was out. Then stopped off to vote in municipal election, left sunglasses there, and had to go back for them.
Anyway, it's time to walk dog.
The roomba finished while I was out so I need to go through and put things back too.
