Welcome back! Love to see you here Aflyer! I think we're a closed community, but anyone can send a message to me or Harriet asking to join, I believe.

What is the forum that's closing down, btw? I've lost track of the forums and places!

HI, AF, I don't think I knew of that one. Glad you're around, though!

update since I last posted here years ago

I am still working at the same place as a senior manager. This is a living history village in New Brunswick, Canada

boys are now 27 and 30, oldest work at a well drilling company and youngest is trying to find his way but works while he is trying to decide what to do with his life

I changed churches and now attend the Salvation Army

my life really changed in February of 2021 when my husband of 29 years died suddenly of a massive heart attack, he died at home at age 54. My wreck of a house was then paid off so I sold it. My oldest son was ready for home ownership but couldn't get a mortgage so I bought a house for him that he pays the mortgage on. I moved into an apartment with my youngest son and love it.

recognizing alot of familiar names on here :)

So sorry your husband passed away so suddenly and so young, AF. I do remember that you worked at a history village also. Sounds like downsizing has been good for you too.
