Good morning, everyone, and happy Saturday in our new home!

You may notice our "start up" post today looks different. Several reasons - the Flylady links almost certainly won't work any more very soon, plus, I've noticed that on this board no one seems to use graphics or post any pictures/photos. (Maybe it's a bandwidth issue?). I don't want us to get thrown off our lovely new home for violating any policy, so I've taken out all the graphics until we find out exactly what we can and can't do! (If anyone has the skills to make a better start up post, please feel free! I just did this one to help everyone feel at home. I've also kept a copy of the "original" version in case it turns out we can use some graphics after all.)

We don't know when our old forum will be closed, but according to the message from Michael which AF very kindly posted, it could be imminent! So, starting in our new home now means that everyone who wishes to can copy and paste their lists across. Of course, a new start might also mean that people take the opportunity to do a list "spring clean" and start again!

Today is a sunny start and 4C. I have a "free" day, so I'd like to spend some time in my garden if it remains dry, and if it warms up it would be good to plant those pansies I bought yesterday. I think DH has arranged to meet up with some of his friends, so I might also do a little work on my dolls' house. (I'm currently renovating a 1950s dolls house, and all the progress is now in my blog: https://kittykattsdollshouse.blogspot.com/ for anyone who is interested in following it! )

A walk would also be good if it stays dry. (Has the valley park dried out enough to walk in, or is itl still going to be a sea of mud?)

Must dos for today: make a cake for MQ's birthday, which we'll be celebrating after the service at church on Thursday morning. I think I'll make my coffee loaf cake, which always turns out well and is easy to slice - I'll ice it tomorrow. And then I need to put it with the card that DF PM bought for us all to sign.

Starfruit is one fruit I know and have tasted, kittykatt. It's used for coctails

Having my usual slow Saturday morning. The cold that is going round got me too, and I was falling asleep standing by 10pm, so just gave in and was fast asleep before 11 (that is VERY early for me ). I'm gonna take it slowly today too, but it's sunny (even if cold) outside and the garden calls me!

Good to see you, Trissie! I'm sorry about the cold, but hopefully taking things a bit slower and enjoying some fresh air and sunshine will help.

DH is going to Bridport today on the train with his friends, which meant an earlier start than usual for him on a Saturday, so I've taken advantage of this and done a quick PUPA and dust upstairs. I have to admit it looks better than it usually does on a Saturday morning! I'm going to put the towels in the machine and run round downstairs, and then hopefully join you in the garden!

It seems I need to CUOP. Thanks for the private messages. From what I read we can find a new home that is very similar to this one at She'sOrganized, I'm registering there.
Long week, things could be improving by next week since boss goes on vacation next Wednesday after work, for two weeks. Her boss will be away for a week too, and there are things to manage during their absences that will fall onto my shoulders, but I will seek advice and I hope to do well. On Monday I have a visio with boss and her other boss - long story short, she has two managers, one in our premises (who will be away), and one at the company HQ 250kms away which is like the mothership company and we are the daughter company. I hope it's an opportunity to set things straight and find better ways to work together, boss and I, going forward. Things have gotten to a point where I'm not sure this is possible any more, but it's still worth trying IF she is okay with trying.
Spring is here, there's the final rugby game tonight in the Six Nation Tournament, France vs Scotland, we will skip family movie night for once to enjoy it.

Trissie, I'm sorry about your cold. Colds can have you feeling pretty miserable. Good for you going to bed early. As a very busy mom, you are generally sleep deprived. I hope you feel better soon.

And hi, FFB. Glad you made it over here too! So sorry about the incompatible relationship with boss. I hope it can be worked out. Doing a good job while she's gone will demonstrate your worth. I hope she comes back easier to work with.

Yesterday we hit 78 F temperature. I gave little dog a bath. She was so good in the laundry tub and warm water. Then wrapped in towels to stay warm while I combed her dry. She's so silky and clean now. Mom was thrilled.
Today will be 30-40 degrees cooler for the high. Snow is forecast! Little dog woke me up to go outside, so I'm awake and took time to register for this new place.
I think I ll go back to sleep for a while, as it's still dark outside.
